If you are using Find Law for research, there are much, much better alternatives. If you are using FindLaw for online marketing, you are throwing money away. I signed up for a year to the tune of $18,000 on the representation that they would design a "state of the art" website that would "drive business" to my firm. They designed what looked like a pre-packaged, canned site. Pretty much looked like something that sold cleaning supplies. After a year of "optimization", I got NOT ONE inquiry. Not one. Not one phone call. Not one e-mail. Not one client. Not one.
They knew it, of course, so they "graciously" offered to renew my subscription for less money for the following year. My question is why would I spend a dime, much less an additional $9,000 for web marketing that generated no business.
FindLaw is a complete and total ripoff and waste of money.
My experience is not unique, by the way. The rep boasted about the sites for other local lawyers FindLaw had done. I should have called in advance. After I decided not to renew, I called several of them and they had all had the same experience I had and had moved on. Don't waste your money. It really doesn't get any worse that this.

DO NOT use FindLaw
October 3, 2022

Dated 10-3-22
I decided that I had enough of the small SEO companies and (after being chased for 2 years by Jim Carlen at Findlaw) that I would go bigger and hopefully get 2-4 good personal injury cases a year. I was promised many many things, none of which came to fruition. Jim Carlen of Milford, New Hampshire promised he would get rid of bad ratings (a screen shot he sent me which he used to draw me in). The low ratings and doxing came from BLM and most were all done all within a week after I called them out on the riots around the country (Google won't take them down even though they are from parts of the country I certainly don't have clients from). Jim Carlen promised that Reuter's, a big nationwide company, could get them taken down. Not only did they not do so, they also never made any attempt. Jim Carlen also sold me on placement spots within my area. Personal Injury and DUI. I paid an extra 500.00 per month to be at the top of the page in the Directory in areas around and in my city. Nothing, and I mean nothing, came from those. He told me I could drop those ads any time. Of course, when I tried to (after 7 months of nothing) They told me they would not drop them. I canceled the subscription to the website well in advance of the year contract but that didn't matter to this creep. I was promised SEO work to help my page, that never happened. I was promised my website would stay in place if I decided not to extend. What I found out much later was, they take it down and send you a Zip Drive of the website you bought and paid for ($6000. 00) without many of the things that made it look decent online. Do not trust these guys and with your website. The smaller guys do the same job (not much) but you don't get screwed like you do at FindLaw. If you have ANY questions, please call me *******575. It takes a lot for me to write a review, but I am one unhappy former client. I do not like being screwed over like FindLaw has done. Jim Carlen should be fired for his many misrepresentations to me. I honestly cannot understand how this guy sleeps at night. One commission is worth this? No, it's not.

Where do I begin? If you want a place to work that makes clients happy, then run for the hills. The culture that is bestowed upon you is a complete brainwashing environment. There are many layers of management that a) are not competent, b) apply a lot of pressure daily, c) will lie to you every step of the way only to make sure they hit their numbers, d) most new people will be stuck with the worst of the worst internal partners, which makes your job nearly impossible, e) as close to used car sales as you can get, f) a very bad product that the company charges a monthly subscription and tries to hide from clients that they are not doing anything worth of value to the websites, g) you will find unpaid commission checks only to find out you have to fight for the money owed, etc...

Bottom line, folks, if you want to be a part of a "Boiler Room" philosophy, then have at it. Your clients will hate you because what management claims to provide to the clients seems to fail almost every time. In your interview, ask this question, "How many website accounts have been left over the last two years, and how much turnover is there?". A ton is the answer. The reason for it is they don't do any quality SEO, provide horrible service, and the billing to clients is like a maze.

I warn all people who think this is a good career. It is where you can get stuck, and before you know it, you have given up your life to be at a dead-end type of job. They make you read from a script in training to trick the clients. I know this and wouldn't adhere to such scams. It is a sick culture. Most managers are only there to defend their job and constantly demand daily Sales Force input and things like, "how much did you sell today?", etc... The reason for the SalesForce is that they know you will not be there long and want as much data input so they can make money with other companies under the TR umbrella.

After you left and made some money, guess what? You may think other companies will look at you with some class. Well, it is quite the opposite. They look at you as the bottom of barrel sales people because that is how they train you. Companies have caught on as they should. You have made a deal with the devil (FindLaw), and recruiters know it. You are not this well-rounded salesperson they claim to have made you into, but you are a con artist and don't even know it.

Advice to Management

'Clean house' and stop the old way of managing. You have the resources to create a great product, but corporate greed has taken over. Take care of clients and quit training sales reps to scam their clients. You all know your SEO is putrid, and the billing system is a scam.

SCAMMERS
July 5, 2016

SCAM ARTIST, CHEATS now called lawyersASAP
7/5/16
MADE APPT FOR FREE CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY; ATTORNEY NO SHOW. ASSISTANT SAID ATTORNEY (BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE)WOULD REVIEW MY PAPERS AND CALL FOR OUR FREE CONSULTATION, BUT IF i WAS IN A HURRY, LEAVE THE $1500 DEPOSIT TO GO AHEAD AND WE COULD START AS SOON AS ATTORNEY REVIEWED. I CALLED AND CALLE3D. FIRSST ONE ATTORNEY, THEN ANOTHER WOULD REVIEW. FINALLY SECOND ONE SAID I HAD NO CASE BUT THEY REFUSE TO REFUND RETAINER EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOTHING FOR ME. THEY SENT ME A FORM LETTER - THEY MUST PRINT HUNDREDS - TO REFUSE TO RETURN MY MONEY. NO SUIT... NO RETAINER. SCAMMERS... CHEATS. NO WONDER THEY HAD TO CHANGE NAME AND MOST OF THEIR ATTORNEYS LEFT. BAD BAD GROUP.

No show seems deliberate so they scam you out of 1500 and you are stuck to them like glue
MEETER AND GREETER MUST GET COMMISSION GETTING DEPOSIT OUT OF YOU SINCE NO ATTORNEY SHOWS UP. THIEVES!
Btw they only use brand new attorneys who go to fl schools that are NOT credited in other states. Keep away
