Ive had 3 fitbits now... the first bought in 2016 was good for about 2 years, the second bought in 2018 was good for aBOUT a year. The last one i bought in March of 2019, lasted 6 MONTHS! The battery is complete TRASH. I WILL BUY NO MORE from this substandard company.
66% Bad and 19% Good... that says a lot. After reading most of the reviews, I see I'm not the only customer that is tired of the HORIBBLE customer service and DUMB 1 year warranty. I bought my Fitbit Versa back in May and just last month it stopped syncing and so then it would not update the new software. Well I send it back with the return lable they sent me and now it's been a month and have not received my replacement. I have been calling them but yet no positive outcome. I paid 200.00 for that piece of $#*! watch for it to stop working 5 months later. I have had numerous issues with the tracker and band on multiple watches. That lets me know that the company is cheap and they use cheap product. The way they are acting you would think that them sending me a new watch would send them into bankruptcy. I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FITBIT PRODUCT FROM THIS MONEY STEALING CHEAP PRODUCT MAKING $#*! COMPANY.
Fitbit is stealing consumers money I brought a Fitbit Ionic twice in less than a year and both watches stop charging and Fitbit company could not and wouldn't I rectify the situation I spent over $400 for both watches and I am out $400 football watches I would not endorse this product ever again I will hope that nobody else well spend they money on buying products from Fitbit and I'm going to encourage and spread that no one else buys this product

Veryone I talked to had a different remedy. Said would send me a new one, but that was deficient also. Called said would replaced it. Sent old one, but claim never received it.
Fitbit
And overly priced gimic that the only thing it can tell you accurately is the Time.
I'm on my third unit now and originally bought for the purpose of monitoring my sleep and heart rate. First thing is that any doctor will tell you that these things can in know way monitor your sleep, it takes a machine that cost many thousands of $$ to do that task, and that has been confirmed with 3 units. The second reason I got it was to monitor my heart rate. It may do that fairly accurately while I am sleeping. But during exercise, it is out to lunch. It tells me sometimes my heart rate is over 170 on a mild workout, and my heart does not go that fast. It tells me my HR is 66 when I'm going full on. And to often it just doesn't register anything. There is absolutely no correlation or comparison to a heart monitor that actually works. See the attached pictures. The green line added represents the pattern of the elliptical machine and the HR should correlate to that. As for counting steps, well what use is that - you eat a bowl of soup and every lift of the spoon is a step, you scratch your nose, step, your typing on keyboard, steps, walking around the kitchen cooking for the family, steps. Every arm movement is a step so at the end of the day you've done ******* steps, so you think. Gimic, who cares. Oh, one other thing it can actually, when linked with your phone GPS, track distance. But then my phone can do that without a wrist band. A few other functions, it can set an alarm to wake you up. But as for the rest of the functions, pretty much a waste. You've already got the phone that can do them much better. The big disappointment is that it was a waste of money for one of the primary functions it was suppose to be good at. Of coarse there's the socail media aspect of them, you get to compete with your buddies who have the same, and still this thing couldn't tell you actually how many calories you burnt in a day because guess work is not accurate. Your better off to buy 10 timex watches for the price and you don't have to charge them up every couple of days. 3 fitbits later, never again with that junk.
Hi All
Well, I have been a Fitbit fan for over a year and a half, loved the product however after a year and a half or using the product and regular updates my Fitbit got stuck in the firmware update position.
After numerous international calls (I live in South Africa) to the helpline (South African agents referred me to the head office), they say there is nothing they can do but offer me a 25% discount on a new product as the product is out of warranty
I find this completely unacceptable and disgusted that they do not take responsibility for their products. I can understand if it was wear and tear or other issues, but the failure is a direct result of their update that they pushed to my watch. I would like to ask if there are any people in the same situation or similar, as I will simply not rest on this matter.
Please could you respond to this forum or email on *******@gmail.com
I do expect that this post will be removed by Fitbit, as they do not stand by their product
I would like to understand how many other people have the same or similar issues.
I have bought all my family members Fitbits most do not work anymore, my wife bought me one for Christmas and what it lasted a year and a half I can buy a 25.00 watch and it will last for ever you buy a Fitbit that is never accurate for 200.00 and it last a year and a 1/2 NOT WORTH THE PRICE...
Fitbit
I know how to charge my Fitbit.
The problem is that it will not hold the charge. The watch is only 13 months old. This is my third watch from Fitbit over the past several years. I have had issues with Fitbit watches. I went to a competitor and came back to Fitbit.
You have just lost me as a customer for the last time.
I will write a review on you web site of my bad experiences with your company.

Hi Nancy T.,
Your Charge 2 battery level is low. Charge your battery as soon as possible.
To charge:
1. Plug the charging cable into a USB port.
2. Clip the other end into the port on the back of the Fitbit Charge 2.
3. The pins on the charging cable must be lined up with the charging port on your tracker and securely locked into place.
4. When your tracker is correctly plugged into the charging cable, the battery icon appears.
5. While charging, the battery icon appears to be less than full.
6. When fully charged, the battery icon is full and solid.
Charging may take up to 2 hours, depending on the current power level.
Note that battery life and charge cycles vary with use, settings and many other factors; actual results will vary.
Happy stepping!

For my birthday, my family got me a Charge 5 to help me track my health stats and to give me a way to monitor my heart. I am trying to stay true to my New Years' resolution to lose weight before the summer.
Only a few hours after setting it up, it crashed. I booted it up with the charger and a few hours later, it shut down again. This occurred several more times before I decided to call customer support to get a replacement. They sent me a shipping label and shipped it out on February 15th. Today is March 22nd and I still have not received a new Fitbit or a refund. I have called them 3 times to see if they could help a customer who spent +$100 on a broken product and they refused to help. They offered no credit to my account, no refund, or a replacement for my inconvenience.
This will be the first and last FitBit me or my family ever buys and I will not ever recommend the brand to any of my friends. I recommend you do not consider Fitbit to provide you with the product you want because you will get a defective product that will cause you to lose your money and become frustrated. They also sold Fitbit's that were burning customers and had to be recalled (Fitbit Ionic). Is that really something you want to pay money for? Don't buy Fitbit! Look to Apple Watch or Garmin.
I ordered a Fitbit "Zip" last week. It arrived in the mail a few days later. So far, so good. I put it together, locked the battery in its compartment... and DOA. No power. I took the battery out, checked the electrical contacts to make sure the metal tabs were touching the battery... which they were. I put the cover back on... and... NO POWER. I called their customer service to ship me a new one. The customer service rep could barely speak English. I had to keep asking her to say one word at a time because she spoke broken English and I didn't know what she was saying. Since I didn't have the product registered (you need to be able to power up the product and sync it with the Fitbit website to register the product) they said that they can do nothing for me. I told them my name and gave them the tracking number. Ok, now they could do something, but only if I sent the defective unit backand it would take a few weeks for them to ship me a new one. Really? These things probably cost 50-cents to make in China and they are worried about sending me a new one without having the defective one in their possession? Wouldn't it be easier to send me a new one with a return-shipping label in the box to return the defective unit? They know this isn't fraud because they were able to look up my order and they also have my credit card number. These people make a bad product, you can't understand their customer service people because they sub-contract their customer service department to Mexico, and it's like pulling eye-teeth to get a replacement for a defective unit that never worked, literally, out of the package.
