By joining FlexJobs, I was able to find a 100% work from home position as a Marketing Manager in the US for a global tech company headquartered in Belgium. It has been a wonderful experience and the perfect match for my expertise. Without FlexJobs, there's no way I would have found this opportunity on my own. I recently tried FlexJobs with the hope of finding quality remote work opportunities, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Despite the promise of a scam-free and curated job listing portal, I encountered issues with the site's functionality that significantly hindered my use of the service.
One major concern was the subscription model, which requires payment for access to job listings. Upon deciding the service wasn't for me, I found the process to cancel my account and remove my personal data overly cumbersome and not user-friendly. Direct communication, such as sending an email, is required to initiate cancellation or data removal, and to my disappointment, no confirmation of the action taken was provided.
This lack of transparency and difficulty in managing one's account and personal information is a critical drawback. For those considering FlexJobs, I advise proceeding with caution. It's crucial to fully understand the terms of service, especially regarding subscription cancellation and data privacy, before committing.
