By joining FlexJobs, I was able to find a 100% work from home position as a Marketing Manager in the US for a global tech company headquartered in Belgium. It has been a wonderful experience and the perfect match for my expertise. Without FlexJobs, there's no way I would have found this opportunity on my own. I highly recommend paying the minimal subscription cost if you are serious about finding legitimate flexible positions - many with benefits!
Great service, really well put together. You can definitely tell that the people behind FlexJobs actually care about doing a good job, and that translates into all aspects of this online job search platform.
I used to work for an employment newspaper and job board after graduating from college so I am very familiar with the job search process. I knew there had to be a job board for people exactly like me. After a few Google searches I found FlexJobs and knew it was exactly what I was looking for!
I have worked remotely for the past three years living in Hawaii and Japan and loved it. My husband and I wanted to travel before settling down and starting a family and we were both fortunate enough to work remotely. Now that we have settled down and started our family, I really love that I can be available to my family and still provide top quality work for my clients/employer. I started to feel like I was ready to make the next advancement career-wise but still wanted to work remotely. That is when I began my search.
The main selling point for me was that they vet all the jobs so you do not waste time with scams or positions that aren't what you want. As a qualified and serious job seeker, you don't want to waste your time going through hundreds of job listings unless they are what you are looking for.
If you are seeking a flexible work schedule where you can still advance in your career and achieve the goals you have set for yourself professionally, FlexJobs.com is the only site I have found so far that I feel gives quality positions with the schedule I work best with. It is well worth the monthly cost to use the site. It is an absolute no-brainer.
Found, applied, and received an offer for the exact job I wanted within a few weeks of signing up for a FlexJobs account. Couldn't ask for a better outcome!
I will use again in the future however currently upskilling. It would be great to have more ADMIN/ EA roles that were remote Internationally, even within some temp agencies.
I will start by saying that I am 2 year with my company that I found on FlexJobs and the happiest I have ever been when it comes to work and life being completely in balance. I started looking on FlexJobs because my husband is an Apprentice Lineman and we weren't sure where we were going to have to go through his apprenticeship. At first I was a little apprehensive about the charge to use FlexJobs, but honestly believe it keeps people who aren't serious about finding flex work out of the pools that you're competing in, and helps ensure the companies that are advertising on the site are legitimate. The site is extremely user friendly, and I had an interview within a weeks time. Since signing up for FlexJobs I now run the Operations Department for my company with a team of 5 people all from the comfort of my own home! I HIGHLY recommend FlexJobs to anyone who is serious about breaking the mold of a 9-5 office routine. IT CAN BE DONE!
Hey Crystal! We truly love to hear that FlexJobs helped you achieve the happiest work-life balance of your life! This is one of our top priorities, and we are thrilled that you found a role with such growth, too! We wish you all the best! The FlexJobs Team
I never used they site, their customer support never canceled my membership or returned to my messages. Now they charged me for another year and still ignoring me when I contact them...

Thank you for the experience and the tools and advice. I couldn't be happier. If (hopefully not) I need to find another position in the future, I will subscribe again without hesitation.
Because it was appealing to look at, the organization of the site was efficient and easy to follow. It provided suggestions, online webinars with coaches, just all-around tools that people desperately need. Thank you.
It has been good. This my second time using flexjobs and was hoping to find a job as fast as last time however that hasnt been the case (not due to flexjobs but the market)
I found my last job through flexjobs and hoping it can help me find what I need again.
The information and webinars provided were very helpful in my remote only job search and I think the tools taught and learned helped me to land the job that I now have. So thank you!
I saw FlexJobs advertised and saw that it was featured on a number of national media outlets so I gave it a try. I am a long-time telecommuter and started telecommuting 20 years ago when my son was born. I knew that another flexible work arrangement was really what I wanted but I was open to any job that was a good fit even if I had to commute. One of the first jobs I saw that was a full-time telecommuting role was with a small company so I researched the company and felt it would be a good fit for me. I sent in my cover letter and resume and heard something back right away. Initially I didn't get the role so I continued to use FlexJobs weekly while looking and found many roles that I would not have found just looking in my local geographic area. I found the site great to use, simple to submit your information to different companies. I also used the search to see different companies that focused on flexible and telecommuting roles to expand my search across the country. I have recommended FlexJobs to my friends and Facebook network. In the end that first role I applied for came through. The person they hired didn't work out so I am now happily employed with a new company. Thank you FlexJobs!
I noticed that I was being contacted less from employers after applying than I was when using monster.com. I have health issues so I need to telecommute to stay afloat.
I received a message from an employer telling me that flexjobs posted a position that wasn't even open. Somehow flexjobs found an old page on this employers site listing a couple jobs they had open, but there was no way to even contact this employer in regards to the openings.
So, flexjobs wasted a TON of my time because this position was PERFECT for me and I wanted to make sure they knew I was here ready to start. I called them and left voice mails, and wrote them numerous emails, and finally they told me that flexjobs had no business posting a position that wasn't even open.
So how much time have I wasted applying for jobs on flexjobs? Who knows, all I know is I won't be renewing my subscription with them. Not all jobs are even telecommute anyway.
I am supposed to get a listing of job openings each day, this doesn't happen consistantly, and like I said, since I rarely hear back from any of the employers about my application, I have to think there is some foul play going on.
Dear Jeff, I'm sorry for your frustration about the expired job. We do our best to maintain a very clean job database, going to great lengths on a daily basis to "clean" expired jobs regularly, and I feel confident that we beat 99% of the other job board out there in terms of the quality and currency of our job listings. Having said that, it is nearly impossible to be perfect in this area because of the nature of how many HR departments work (even on an employer's website, it is not uncommon for the employer to still be listing a job that has already been filled, because of internal delays in communication with their web team).
Also, you are right that "not all jobs are even telecommute anyway." Our site provides job listings that include any kind of work flexibility, including telecommuting options, but also part-time, flexible, or alternative schedules, or freelance contracts. We say that on our home page and throughout our site. People want work flexibility for many different reasons, and accordingly, different kinds of work flexibility are better for different people.
I would like to clearly refute your suggestion that there is "foul play" going on. Job alerts are sent out only if you've set up a profile or job alert, and then only if there are jobs matching either of those. Also, while I'm sorry you didn't hear back from employers, we do hear from job-seekers every day who are hiring from job listings they found on our site. Employers are unfortunately in a bad habit of not responding to applicants unless they are going to interview them, and it's a common frustration among all job-seekers. Here are two posts are on our blog about this topic: http://www.flexjobs.com/blog/post/why-employers-dont-respond-to-cover-letters/ and http://www.flexjobs.com/blog/post/why-employers-dont-respond-after-job-interviews/ if you'd like more information.
I wish you the best in your search, and as I've written in previous responses: I'm sorry if our service wasn't a fit for what you were looking for, and please know that we offer a satisfaction guarantee... simply request a refund. We want people who use our site to feel satisfied with their experience, no matter what (http://www.flexjobs.com/Pricing.aspx) Best regards.
Would be nice to see global companies iclusive on South Africans. Not much jobs/companies that cater for South African professinals, mostly US looking for US employees. Some of us are specifically looking for roles in EST, CAT and inticing perks in most US time zones as that balances our work/life even though we're in a completely different time zone. Would be nice to cater much for the African regions
In hopes of finding a remote job in South Africa but for US time zones
For some reason, the site filter would never provide me jobs within JUST my city (San Diego, CA) that were remote. I really would've loved that to work properly.
I did not end up using FlexJobs to get my new gig, but the website was helpful and I will definitely keep it in mind if I need a part time thing, or change careers again.
I appreciate Flexjobs' vetting process, as I've learned about scammers from other job-search sites. And I've used Flexjobs articles in classes I've taught.
Great jobs, just couldn't find many remote jobs for Non-native (out of the US). Might try it again later. The initial subscription was affordable for me, but when the renewal came it was higher.
It was a good experience but I was not successful in securing a job. There are also not too many options pertinent to me, to work from anywhere as I am not based in USA.
I am interested in remote work.
I enjoyed how organized this site was and how it narrowed the categories for jobs. But the best part was the webinars for me which helped with my application very well.
Because I wasn't having luck with any other websites on finding a job that was 100% remote that wasn't also a Freelance job. Flexjobs was a great alternative.
No problems from your side. I have a job that takes a lot of my time; I work logistics at Mahle Filtration in Murfreesboro,Tn. Finding time at the computer is very problematic to say the least.
Hello,
Thank you for your review. Glad we were able to help!
The webinars were great, the fact that they were sent after was a plus and the variety of jobs listed on the site was incredible. I felt confident there was an opportunity out there for me.
I absolutely love the security of searching for a job through flexjobs. I know that I won't be scammed, and that is what makes flexjobs a great asset to me.

Wow - thank you for the great review, Nicholette! We are happy to hear that your membership to FlexJobs was successful and tailored to the flexible jobs you wanted. All the best for your new flexible position! The FlexJobs Team.
My email is flooded with yours and similar sites. After four months of actively looking for a fulfilling job, I am discouraged and losing hope.

FJ is a good resource and I would recommend the website to others. I just happen to be a little different in my skills, experience and preferences and I suppose that is no one's fault.
I was hoping to find legitimate work that I could do from home.
I think the concept is great. I just wasn't able to find what I was looking for like I hoped. The matches I kept getting were not in the direction that I wanted to take my path.
To find a job/opportunity to stay at home and travel with my kids and spend more time with them.
The site is fine, just not showing me anything different than other platforms, and I was hoping to find more matches

In 2007, FlexJobs founder and CEO - Sara Sutton - was looking for something better after losing her full-time job. She was already seven months pregnant with her first child and needed something that was going to be flexible but still help further her career. Sara knew these jobs existed but was overwhelmed trying to find them. That’s when the idea for FlexJobs came: A site where job seekers could find professional-level, legitimate work-from-home jobs, all in one place, without the ads, scams or junk found on other sites.
