I'm a PR director, so I often take a lot of photos and videos, which with this video converter are combined into slide shows or films. I have been using this converter for 5 years, I don't like any other. This also has its drawbacks, but there are clearly more advantages. I hope that in the future the conversion speed will be made faster and the program will not freeze.
Very slow response from customer service. I followed all of their instructions but still never received an activation key, rather got a refund only after filing a dispute through PayPal... buyer beware!
Best software with the best customer support. I had a small issue of not receiving my product key but customer support was able to help with my issues within minutes.
I thought it was free. You have to pay money so that you no longer have a watermark. That is still reasonable. BUT THEN MONEY TO PAY SO THAT THE VIDEO CONFERS FASTER THAT'S NOT GOING. THIS IS NOT FREE. IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED IT PLEASED IT FOR ALL TIME.
A good product, but a very bad way to sell. Such a way of selling would not be legal in the EU. In the US, consumer protection laws are obviously very bad.
They claim they are freeware with no limitations but after I converted a few files it stopped working until I bought a licence key
Deceptive marketing aside, the software is decent

I used freemake for about 7 or 8 years & i thought it was the greatest program i had ever used, i suggested it to everyone because it did EVERYTHING & it was the simplest easiest to use program i knew of... i never had an issue with it, ever... then one day they started nickel & diming... suddenly one day, their name is branded across your video... want it removed? Gotta pay this amount... your video used to take a few hours to convert now it takes over 24 hours? Pay this amount to speed it back up... want to use that feature that you've always used? Now its gonna cost this amount... your dvd used to take an hour to burn? Well now it's going to take more than 24 hours to burn, unless you pay this amount... oh you already paid for all services? Well we're gonna add new features that aren't covered in that so you can pay again... for 7 or 8 years, i rarely ever had to update the program, but now i'm constantly having to DL the new updates to avoid the program crashing but you never know what new changes you're going to get with the updates... it sucks because this is really a great program that is incredibly useful... but the companies new blackmail type of business practice makes it not worth the hassle
Easy to use to convert files to different types. Take care when you choose the type of subscription... If you choose a weekly subscription, it will be renowed automatically at the end of the week...
Just used freemake video converter again since January 2020. Current month is October 2020. Freemake forced an update and now it takes 30 minutes to convert a 30 min video. What happened?, this video would've taken 5 minutes or less back in January. The whole time during the conversion it shows how much time is left and below the time/countdown there a button I can click on that says "Speed Up". Now in October, after that forced update, when I click on the convert button it ask me, convert without logo. I selected convert with logo. If you click on convert without logo, it tries to sell you the product. Back in January, it would convert with a logo but it would be at the beginning of the video, but never during the video. I have a feeling the logo is going to be a watermark throughout the video. I'll see when the 30 minute conversion is finished. Freakin Freemake, yes there's now a watermark in the middle of the entire video that says, "To convert without Freemake logo, use Freemake mega pack". I will be uninstalling Freemake from my PCs. I hate when companies start to nickel and dime their customers. This product gets no more recommendations from me. It sucks, this program used to good.
I convinced my job to purchase Freemake Video Converter a couple years ago but I haven't used it for awhile. Tomorrow I will test it. I'll try to use it without updating if it will let me.
I bought this program, it was for one week, just to convert a home video
I thought it was free, but nope, had to pay for it a dollar for a week
I had to email them to cancel the automatic monthly, weekly payment
They did, but I am not sure it has actually been cancelled, time will tell I guess
It does the job it says it does, but it does seem to want to update nearly every hour, I have no idea why it needs to update, I cant see any difference after an update
But I might use it again without the updates
It does take a long time to convert a video though, even a 7 minute video can take several hours
This program started out as freeware, years ago, but they realised they could make money from it
Cant say I blame em, if the market is there, but they should relabel it, its not free any more, even though its very good at what it does
What they don't tell you is that the 'free' conversions are branded. Waste of a download. Go and buy a real converter!
Tip for consumers:
Just review and buy a decent up front reputable product.

None. I don't do bait and switch.
Extremely useful and easy to use. You don't need special skills to star the work with video content, adaptive navigation, fast done
Sneaky tactics are used to subscribe customers for auto-renewal services they did not ask for! Avoid this company at all costs!
My husband bought freemake and after erase the program but they continue charged to my credit card every month.
Never got it to work. Tried everything they threw at me but still no luck. I requested a
Refund. Maybe it doesn't work on all computers.

I only downloaded one video and then it told me I had to pay $50 and I if I don't it wont let me download anything. Anyway I found a way better YouTube video downloader that DOESNT have a WATERMARK and its free if not giving it a sponcer but here is the link if you want it: https://yt5s.com/en74
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it use this it has no watermark and it doesn't cost money: https://yt5s.com/en74

its a app
It's a great app very easy to use and very easy to understand unlike a lot of other ones that make things difficult to use and understand.
I use te FREEMAKE Video Converter and I can't be more happy. The software is really intuitive and the support team helped me a lot when I needed them.
Thye may tell you it's freeware, but it's got the usual BS strings-attached. What they really want is $$$.
Tip for consumers:
It's not really free. The "free" claim is just a come-on to squeeze $$$ out of you.

The ever best video converter I used: it works with all known formats and does it in a short time. The Best!
