This site is so fabulous! I love all their clothes. It is my favorite place to shop. It might be a little too addictive, because there stuff is just so amazing. All their clothes are super cute and unique. Most stores sell the same boring crap. Looking through the clothes on this site is like visiting an art museum/ runway show. Love it! They also have stores all over the place, so you know that it isn't a scam. I don't trust just any website. It is a lot more fun searching online for clothes, and their selection is better than going to the store.
The customer service for this store and their umbrella company urban outfitters is abysmal. God forbid there's any issues with your order or account, which they themselves cause because their representatives are completely incompetent or just don't care, don't expect any real time assistance and forget about any resolution after they string you along. This is, I feel, a niche clothing brand targeting a specific market, and expensive to boot. Alienating their customer base and instead of trying to resolve issues, simply cutting off customers is really a miserable way to conduct business. Do their corporate officers know or care how their customer service departments are handling their consumers? I would still love to shop some of their pieces, but have been prevented from doing so directly with the company, and after the awful way they have treated me as a loyal customer, I just don't want to have anything to do with this brand ever again, and I've previously spent hundreds, possibly thousands with them.

I have been purchasing clothing online from Free People for the past 6 years. I have not had a bad experience with shipping, refunds or communication. I have only had to call customer service twice and both times my issue was not only addressed quickly but I also received a discount for my trouble on my next purchase. I have a whole closet full of Free People clothing and I love every item.

My whole life I never allowed myself to buy any name brand clothes. I finally convinced myself I deserved a few things! I spent over $600 at free people and I got 7 of my co-workers to buy their one shot hot onesie as well (by showing off my own) so overall over $1000. 4 of the items I bought myself either ripped within the 1st hour of me wearing them or had the stitching unraveling. So I reached out to free people to give them the opportunity to make it right… they offered me 15% off my next purchase ($10) that's it…. Highly disappointed.
I have made a few purchases from FP and was definitely not worth what they charge. The sizing is never consistent and the quality of the clothing is poor at best. Some of the workout wear looks great on the model in the ad, but after ordering according to their sizing scale, it is a bad fit and the material is frayed. I will stick with what I know and what is consistent.
Online shipping delivery is an entire mess. Packages are so dirty it's Shame. They receive orders they don't have in stock play gamble with low stock orders and sometimes u get in a month or u don't get at all or lost or some something. Customer service is useless and full of lies. Keep giving the go around and waste your time bout to delete the app and forget about them not worth the stress. They have lost 2 packages and failed

Worse Customer Service online. The process is extremely slow. You will receive your order for the following holiday. Make sure you give them 1 year or more to process your order. They will feed you same sentence every time. The products are over priced and the quality is not so great.

I am a UK customer and have purchased on many occasions from FP and until last year I was satisfied with the custom. However recently items from orders were not included in the delivered package contrary to the paperwork and payments taken. I was refunded for 2 items the third refund took approximately 3 months while I was bounced from pillar to post. Eventually I had a refund. Recently I had an email informing me that FP has put a hold on my account as I have not returned an item- the item which was NEVER delivered. I am speechless. Not sure if this will be sorted otherwise I will need to seek legal representation.
I ordered a beautiful pair of boots online with Free People which I might add was the most expensive pair of boots I have ever purchased approximately $800! Once received I noticed one of the zippers on the boots was broken. I called customer service immediately and asked does the company have a quality control department and the representative assured me they did but apparently someone was not paying attention. I returned the boots for a full refund and will never purchase from this company again.
I will never order from Free People again! Ordered two outfits on 3/15 still haven't received it, tracking updates stopped after it sat in the facility in my town for over 7 days. Now they are saying it's lost and that they can't guarantee a resolution. That I wont receive an answer for 72 business hours and that they can't guarantee it will be reshipped. I asked for a refund since they can't come up with an answer and they said that can't happen right now either. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the exact same thing. So I paid $150 for an item I haven't received and can't get my money back! Unacceptable and extremely poor customer service!
I recently placed an order online at free people. When I hit submit to pay, I was immediately brought back to my cart as if I had never ordered. However, upon checking my bank statement, I noticed I was charged. When I called customer service the first time, they said it was no problem and they would push my order through. They said I would receive an order confirmation email in about three business days. When that didn't happen, I called back. I coincidentally talked to the same representative and they told me they cannot push orders through. They said I will need to dispute this payment and it can take up to 45 days to receive a refund.

I ordered a few items online. The boots I ordered were way too small and the jewelry was not the color I chose. I returned them. It took almost two months for me to finally get a refund and the only reason why I got my well deserved refund is because I filed a dispute through PayPal. I contacted Free People customer service before I did this and was told that I had already been issued a refund. It was false. Terrible customer service. Refused to listen to all of my facts. Had no sense of empathy at all. They threatened to not issue my refund until I closed my case with PayPal. Very stressful experience. Never shopping at Free People again.
I ordered the riley chain belt bag and got it in the mail a day early than they said. This was shipped to Canada, great. I previously read reviews and saw a lot of bad ones and started regretting my decision but i needed this for my vacation so I just took a chance. Once I got it and opened the bag there were 2 stains that looked like someone spilled some tomato sauce on the zipper part... i could scratch that off like ughhh... whatever i still need this i dont have time to return it. THEN i realize there were there 2 dark marks along the top of the bag on the suede which DO NOT COME OFF. This bag is white and these marks are dark grey. But I have no time to return it, i need this for my trip. On the website the bag looked more chic than it is, i got it and it looks cheap like I I could've gotten something better at Ardene or Michael's... Needless to say, not gonna order from them again.
I ordered a gift card on September 5 for my niece's birthday. Ten days later it still hadn't arrived. Customer Service apologised and promised to send an expedite gift card by Express Mail to arrive within 2 days. Never received. 19 days after the original

The order was ok, quality wasnt as good for the price. 289$ for 2 pants and 1 top on the app it doesnt tell you its usd so that was a shock, and then customs charged me 90$ at the post office. I would say for the price total rip off would have rather ordered off anywhere else tbh
On 9/13/20. Placed an order 3 times and it was cancelled 3 times. Customer service said it was systematically cancelled because my account was flagged. I do not have a Free People account. Made me call another phone number (fuk you free people, transfer my call) and that person said I would be contacted via email. When I got an email 48 hours later they said " the dispute for your order has closed". There was never a dispute! You cancelled my order, 3 TIMES, for no reason!
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes. I received one of them and another random item (workout shorts). I told them and they sent me the second pair of shoes I ordered and asked me to return the workout shorts. I ended up returning ALL 3 items in the store. Months later they are now charging me over $200 for the item I "didn't return," even though I returned them all and they won't refund the charge. This is ALL based on their initial mistake. I returned all item. This is unacceptable.
Live in Mexico. Sent in an order was cancelled. Sent in a second order was cancelled. No one is getting back to me. Can't call into a 1-800 number from Mexico. The chat line said that someone would reach out in an email within 72 hours never heard from anyone. Free people just don't give a ***t! This is the most terrible customer-unfriendly company I have ever shopped with. I've ordered from Freepeople on over 1000 USD. For a missing item in the package I had to pay custom and taxes which I can't get back now from the custom and Freepeople is just being customer unfriendly and not helpful at all. The don't reply on email for ever and just answering with standard emails. Shortly, I'm just ignored and they don't want to help for a mistake they did. So in the end I paid taxes for an item Freepeople never had sent.
On another order, the package never arrived so I had to check back with them. I was told that the item I've already paid 250 USD was lost.
I will never ever order from this unfriendly store again. I also realize which incredible margins they put on their products which is ridicilous and makes them to unlikeable to me.

Went to the store to check it out saw these super cute overalls from Levi's and they were 98 $ I'm like damn okay that's a bit too much for me just for overalls, I go to the actual Levi's store it's 50$ plus discount... I really wouldn't bother
For international buyers, i wouldnt recommend to buy from freepeople.com, they are shipping the dress after 7 days you ordered it and they are working with a shipping company which their best speed of delivery time is 20 days so if you are an international buyer and have 30 days wait time for a dress its not a big deal. Before i order i checked the international shipping time information at their website which claims 4-7 days for delivery but dont believe that misleading information and Beware the dog!
I paid to have my package tracked when delivering back to them, according to them they have not received it where as with tracking, it's showing it's been handed to them. They owe me £188 and are refusing to pay. Avoid at all costs the stress is not worth it.
Placed an order for my granddaughters birthday. They gave me an expected ship date, and a week or so later, I recieved an email stating they had cancelled my order because it sold out. Then why did it show availabe when I put it in my cart? The "review page" on their website will not allow you to rate based on your experience... WHAT? Of course not. I won't be ordering anything else from them. I will spoil my granddaughter elsewhere. At those prices I expected top notch service. I just hope I get refunded as I have read many others with the same experience did not.
I was overcharged nearly $200 for my Free People purchase. My request for a refund was fair and reasonable. I included screenshots and clearly explained what had happened in my correspondence with the support team.
I needed to speak with 8 different consultants (many of whom clearly did not read/understand my emails) and it took 24 days to receive my refund. The consultants were rude and unapologetic. My experience of the Free People/Urban Outfitters customer service team has been frustrating and disappointing. I won't be shopping with them again and I would not recommend them.
