With the recent changes they're doing on gab, I can't use it because I'm not a developer and they haven't given us old members advice on how to go about using the new network.

I still have a few months remaining on my subscription as a pro member so therefore I would like a refund but I don't know how I can communicate with them.

I don't really know if gab or the old gab was a free speech platform because like some of the commenters here, I suspected I was shadow banned. I'm speaking here as someone who seldom posted comments on the old gab. Maybe it's not Torba who personally instructed his programmers to ban people maybe it's an independent decision of the programmer to cause mischief.

If gab won't refund then gab would be called another scam on the internet.

As "ThatOldLibOnGab" I was a Gab member from just after the November 2020 election until January 6,2021. I made numerous quality posts during that time and many times even received "likes" from conservatives. On my last day I was very critical of the Capital attack in D. C. and suddenly without notice or explanation my account was deactivated ("You don't have permission to view this page" everywhere) and all my Gabs were deleted. The owners of Gab have the right to implement any moderation policy they choose but their claims of "freedom of speech" are blatantly false.

I tried it for three months to get away from Twitter. After trying Gab, I had to delete my account. It is as bad as they say it is. Multiple Holocaust-denying groups that have been spewing lies and hate for several years that they have been open. The creators don't care as it is 'free speech'. Free speech is not saying whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. That is anarchy.

From a speed standpoint it is getting better but still has a long ways to go to get rid of both in house and outside hackers. It is the closest to free speech on the net that I have found and I have looked intensively. So that is a big plus. Unfortunately it comes at a big price by allowing nutcase nazis, bigots, just plain crazies to post whatever the hell they want to. They are not very open about their goals and plans to resist Gov. Takeover or deplatformng. They want investors but don't answer questions about what their future strategies are to avoid Gov. Control and the NWO. The guy running it seems like a reasonable Christian but sympathizes with jew haters at his own peril. They need better software, better tamper proof backbone to the internet, faster servers, but they insist on just doing stuff they think will generate more money (understandable). It's a good site if you can get past all the nazis, bigots and other wackos. They won't delete you account in my experience but they will allow shadowbanning it seems.

Tonight, I was able to get a Gab account. I do not know why I was unable to get an account for so long; but if other people were having the same problem, all I can say is "try it now."

I recently joined Gab after being shadowbanned and then thrown in Twitter jail for 12 hours, and my first log in experience set the tone for this app and why I'm rating a 2. When checking out my new social media app I began with some commenting, nothing major just some simple facts. Immediately I was bombarded with a ton of very horrible comments from very far right extremists. I was called a commie and a kike loving slag for commending a black man who told his story about "walking away". I was then followed by these people and was unable to ban them from following me, I could only mute them. That was one feature I did not like at all. I don't want to be connected to people like that in any way! I sucked it up for about a month then I was having trouble with my account and something about invalid credentials so I reached out several times to the admins for help and never got a response. I quickly realized that even people with the same ideology as myself would attack and berate me if I dared to disagree with them... and these were so called conservatives! I left twitter due to censorship and now I've left Gab due to no monitoring at all. Gab is a host for far right extremists and porn. It's free speech but I feel it is just another platform for horrible people to bully, harass, and make threats against good, honest, intelligent people who are looking for like minded friends or for healthy debate. To each their own but I wouldn't recommend Gab unless you just want to fight and argue.

My review of Gab is a huge refreshment from the stupid fact checkers on facebook and the banning on twitter that police your every move. Gab is easy to use just as easy as Fakebook and the people on there are open minded. It is not a trump haven either. Anything goes and everyone has the right to speak their opinion. I gave it 5 Stars if there were more I would rate it much Higher...

I've been using gab for several months. At first it was slow due to the number of people who were migrating from other platforms. It is now running great as they have beefed up their infrastructure. Free speech for all. They WILL NOT block you unless you are doing something illegal or dangerous. If you don't like something someone posts then you have to block them.

I write this review as a Constitutional Conservative. This place is one large toxic echo chamber. There's nothing but profanity laced Biden memes, Trump won posts, and every single conspiracy you can think of. There is no commentary or social engagement. You can't find a legitimate person to carry on a conversation with. People use animated fake profile photos with ridiculous usernames, yet they preach about standing up and fighting back... but they do so from a fake name and photo? Contradictory you think? There are no content creators here (nature, wildlife videos). That's because they get no attention. It's politics or bust. By the way, groups that have 60,000 members have posts that have maybe 5 to 6 likes. These membership numbers are suspicious. That's almost statistically impossible. There are men using profile photos of pretty women and fake female names. Posting photoshopped photos with quotes just to get attention. One is named (certainhope) who uses a profile photo of celebrity Lucy Hale but pretends its her/his photo. Yet, nobody in 2 years seems to notice or care

I signed up for Gab a few months and have been trying for weeks to confirm my email. Out of a dozen attempts on three time did the validation request reach my email and all three times there was a reponse "something is not right". After watch the CEO push his superstition and not seeing hard any posts I deleted my account today.

After finally getting in, I find there are several atheist pages on this site even though the owner claims to be a christrian. Many of the so called christians troll these sites and is normal for the they name call and insult because they cannot back up their comments with evidence or facts,\.

I quit the site yerterday.

I was banned from GAB for exposing real crimes of the #Deepstate
( I censored the censored contents myself, so people can see the truth even censored) on children's!
They never responded, sent 3 emails, got no response at all!
I got banned without a warning, the warnings spams appeared at the same day i was ban, how useful it is!

Gab is also FULL OF NAZIS, WHITE SUPREMACIST & RACIST activist so it's really easy to spot them they wave the nazi flag everywhere, talking crap about people of color!

Andrew Torba NEVER respond to their followers if you ask something!
GAB is, SLOW, not a real app, just a crap website shortcut on your smartphone!
REFRESH contents is completely CRAP, LOT of bugs, like not working fine, on Huawei smartphones, contents & design of gab are cut not centered!

Gab will threaten your account when white supremacists are harassing berating and threatening you. They also openly ALLOW promotions of Nazi gatherings and are in full support of Nazi related materials. Gabis a dump of emotionally insecure lil Nazi wanna be's. Gab allows hate speech of minority groups but retaliates if you mention white supremacy or Nazi's using threat intimidation and more to try to "keep you in Hitler's lines of delusion". Gab sucks... NOT worth the upgrade $$ and will malfunction often while using it. Horrible company and has no value to offer anyone other than Nazi's and white supremacists...

It's the only site I know of that comes closest to a free speech platform. Many do not like it cuz it has many jew haters and racists among it's users. But you can express what you like there. The problem with gab is that the admins are technically challenged and cannot run a website without constant freezes, pages that do not load, redirects to pages u did not ask for to sell u something. There are some indications that posts are being delayed due to moderator approval which is not entirely consistent with the pledge of free speech. Also replies to posts are either inoperative or are not threaded properly. Their servers/connection/coding is SLOW and cumbersome.

I'm a newly joined Gab Member (unpaid subscriber) and am somewhat satisfied with the user experience on Gab. I did a bit of research on the background of the entity Gab AI, Inc and found some interesting information. Gab AI is a Foreign Owner Publicly Traded Corp, reg in Delaware, offices in TX, based out of Anguilla. The characterize themselves as a "Information Retrieval Service", but openly market the site as a social media platform. The company has 1 employee of record, and almost no funds in the bank. Andrew Robert Torba the CEO of Gab touts the platform as the beacon of free speech. I found his relative's member profiles on the site and they actively and openly campaign for the silencing of gab members that they do not agree with ( on issues) whilst touting it as free and welcome to all. Hypocrisy aside, it has potential, no complaints regarding functionality. I enjoy my usage of it and at this point am staying.

Paid into it & lost big time. Literally spent 1 week trying to post, gain followers, & follow back. Gab claims they have 30 million followers & soon to increase to 100 million. If they can't handle technical issues with 30 million followers, how the hell are they going to keep the site functioning with 100 million? Don't WASTE your money, TIME, & sense of PEACE!

I met a stalker on gab hes been stalking me for 3 months i made a report to torba/gab n what did Andrew do bann me instead of my stalker that im really in fear of ive been trying 3 months to get this stalker to leave me alone we met on gab n hes sending porn to my email almost 20 a day. I joined Gab a year ago as an alternative to Facebook. I soon realised that Gab is not about free speech. It is about a certain type of right-wing, Bible belt, pro-Trumpism spech. People who dare to express an opinion outside this strict worldview are systematically bullied and insulted. Gab's CEO Andrew Torba is religious lunatic whose weekly rants would make Hitler turn in his grave. Gab is not about free speech. It is about his speech.
