I can honestly say that no social media platform comes even close to GAB.com, a place where absolute free speech is practiced not just in theory. Not only that, most people there love God. There are almost no ungodly people there and many of them know about the real problem in this world, if you know what I mean.

Useless as a screen door on a submarine! Overwhelming email spam and when you blacklist them they find a way to even bypass my banning their IP address that these idiots use. I have reported them and I am going all out to stop them and their harassing me! I have sent emails and also a letter requesting that they cease and completely send to me as I have clicked numerous time to "UNSUBSCRIBE" If I would have known that this harassing me from gab.com, I would never have even been a part of their mess.

Gab has helped my young business find clients, share my personal convictions openly, and connect with like-minded business owners.

There's a lot of misleading articles online about the platform, and I found them to be inaccurate after checking things out for myself. Free speech is truly celebrated and all are welcome to participate.

I offer content writing services for small business owners, and I've formed a healthcare (my niche) related group where honest discussions around the industry are taking place.

It's easy to mute or block those who use foul or suggestive language you morally don't agree with. Without moderation by the Gab team, the community does a good enough job of rooting out bad characters.

I came in skeptical but am left with the impression this platform is here to stay. They continue to attract new users daily and their "stock" will continue to soar!

This Free Speech platform really does not give a F about what you write or call people. Because FREEDOM.

So while you'll find some fantastic crypto bros, and interesting trolls, it's just a big old mess. You know you're in once someone threatens to bash your head in or yell at you about some conspiracy.

But you know what? It's fun as hell...

I thought that free speech would be great on a conservative site. I was wrong. Racists (in the true sense of the word) have no problem spewing their venomous slurs, and liberals are free to make as many stupid comments as is humanly possible. 12 hours is definitely a record for deleting my account anywhere, and I give 'gab' all the credit.

Last night I made a page for my Cannabis company here in Canada. We are a legit business and do everything by the book. I posted twice, just explaining what our shop is and has for products, and they blocked me...

Now, I would think this was fine BUT, I have a Twitter, Facebook & Instagram for my business and I have never been blocked (almost like they realize it's legal) anyway, GAB advertises is self as free speech, and allows people to post what they want. I beg to differ. You guys suck! I'll never be back, and I hope you go under. Pathetic.

It is black hating, Jew hating, Muslim hating... everything that is NOT white! If you haven't seen the movie Imperium, watch it NOW! Everything said in the movie is echoed on GAB!

The platform is a cesspool of hate. It is where anyone who feels victimized goes to complain.

From what I see it is mainly trolls acting like the worst parts of society.
There's very few legitimate people you can have a decent chat with, at times it literally feels like a a bunch of crazy people trying to say the most offensive thing and the first person to cave and take offence get to be harassed.

We need a conservative site but we also need one that works as hopefully we'd have smarter people putting together sites than GAB... Can't log on after creating an account and it just sits there and churns. Again, somehow I hope there are smarter people out there on our side.

I have been having problems connecting with gab.ai for two weeks. I can log on but not permitted to make changes to my profile. Having issues posting. Reporting the problems but receiving no response.

I have temporarily given up on gab.ai as a platform until I receive better answers. I am extremely disappointed.

I'm using Parler and it's working great, absolutely no problems.

Looked pretty good at first but then you start noticing a pattern of hate and anti semitism, this might as well be an extension of storm front. Also the app is so slow since it's not a native iOS or android phone app, deleted my account immediately.

If you want a healthy dose of death threats towards anyone with a differing viewpoint and antisemitism behind political candidates pages, gab is the place to go. I left a few nice comments for a candidate running for mayor in my state and guarantee i'll probably be kicked off despite the "freedom of speech" they mention. It's a pathetic website and is really an eye opener towards the real extremist, racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, bible bumping morons who somehow think their hateful views will land them in heaven. Again, if you want to see the dark side of the American conservatives, the true thoughts in their heads, log into gab and go to any republicans page. Apparently they want the antisemitists as their support base.

You will literally get banned from this website faster than twitter. The creator cares about "freedom of speech" when it's speech he agrees with. I got deleted for having an opinion. I didn't spam, I didn't promote violence, I didn't share any inappropriate pictures. I just had an opinion that establishment conservatives don't like. So my account was deactivated.

I'm a conservative and respect Christians. However, I am not a Christian and I clearly wasn't welcome on this site. I can't believe that Gab is good for Christianity. Gab makes Christians look hateful, angry, and dangerous. I know many Christians and they are positive, moral people. I tried to unsubscribe and it is close to impossible. They want you to send a letter via snail mail as opposed to clicking on the unsubscribe like every other site. Your membership is permanent and will follow you to the grave.

October 2018 update: Things at Gab have been good since they got rid of the spammers. I like Gab and I hope they continue to grow. There is a lot of exchange of good /news & information going on that I cannot imagine Twitter/facebook would allow. The average Gab user is better informed because they can see through the propaganda.

They have improved the site, now faster and easier to login. However they still will not allow tor or proxies often. COnstantly getting that crap from cloudflaire "one more step" bs. No censorship which is very rare on the net nowadays. They still need to work on their webpage to make it easier to use without bugs.

They are phonies... DONT go there looking for free speech! Its full of shills and trolls They practice "shadow-banning"! It is INDEED a liberal con-job... Gab hates white nationalism and I dont doubt they harass them... It would be a cold day in hell before they get any of my money!

With the recent changes they're doing on gab, I can't use it because I'm not a developer and they haven't given us old members advice on how to go about using the new network.

I still have a few months remaining on my subscription as a pro member so therefore I would like a refund but I don't know how I can communicate with them.

I don't really know if gab or the old gab was a free speech platform because like some of the commenters here, I suspected I was shadow banned. I'm speaking here as someone who seldom posted comments on the old gab. Maybe it's not Torba who personally instructed his programmers to ban people maybe it's an independent decision of the programmer to cause mischief.

If gab won't refund then gab would be called another scam on the internet.

As "ThatOldLibOnGab" I was a Gab member from just after the November 2020 election until January 6,2021. I made numerous quality posts during that time and many times even received "likes" from conservatives. On my last day I was very critical of the Capital attack in D. C. and suddenly without notice or explanation my account was deactivated ("You don't have permission to view this page" everywhere) and all my Gabs were deleted. The owners of Gab have the right to implement any moderation policy they choose but their claims of "freedom of speech" are blatantly false.

I tried it for three months to get away from Twitter. After trying Gab, I had to delete my account. It is as bad as they say it is. Multiple Holocaust-denying groups that have been spewing lies and hate for several years that they have been open. The creators don't care as it is 'free speech'. Free speech is not saying whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want, wherever you want. That is anarchy.

I signed up for Gab a few months and have been trying for weeks to confirm my email. Out of a dozen attempts on three time did the validation request reach my email and all three times there was a reponse "something is not right". After watch the CEO push his superstition and not seeing hard any posts I deleted my account today.

After finally getting in, I find there are several atheist pages on this site even though the owner claims to be a christrian. Many of the so called christians troll these sites and is normal for the they name call and insult because they cannot back up their comments with evidence or facts,\.

I quit the site yerterday.

Gab claims to NOT censor free speech but they do... White supremacy sympathizer company!
Gab will threaten your account when white supremacists are harassing berating and threatening you. They also openly ALLOW promotions of Nazi gatherings and are in full support of Nazi related materials. Gabis a dump of emotionally insecure lil Nazi wanna be's. Gab allows hate speech of minority groups but retaliates if you mention white supremacy or Nazi's using threat intimidation and more to try to "keep you in Hitler's lines of delusion". Gab sucks... NOT worth the upgrade $$ and will malfunction often while using it. Horrible company and has no value to offer anyone other than Nazi's and white supremacists...

OK, we'll start with the good. Pretty good about free speech. Me and my group of close pals can be pretty rough and none of us has ever been reprimanded. In my wider circle some have be banned, but again what we say on a daily basis would never fly on Facebook or Twitter.
If you're touchy about certain subjects or do not like your beliefs questioned, or love being in the echo chamber, you have the option to mute or block people, so they can never comment on your stuff and you will never see anything they write (a feature I think they put in to attract Alex Jones and ppl like that to the platform, since they do not like to be challenged.
Unfortunately, the platform itself has lots of trouble. Most days it takes several tries to connect, sometimes losing connection several times a day. Sometimes it'll be offline for whole days.
The way the conversations unfold are very confusing. Twitter is far superior on that score.
Also, in terms of the privacy issue: There was a shooting that involved a guy who was a Gab user (who also used Twitter and others), and Gab was happy to hand over everything to investigators without warrants or anything, many people who were in no way involved with the crime ended up being visited by the FBI.
So user beware.
