If I could leave less than a star I would. I ordered a Nintendo switch and they only sent me the cables and the wrist straps for the controllers. No consol was ever incased in my package. What am i supposed to do with just the cables? I called them multiple times, each time I would be on hold for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour. There was no help. They told me that I could file a police report but that they would not help. I used to love this company, but I will never shop with them again.
Products used:
I couldn't use any of the products sent to me seeing as there was no consol enclosed.

If I'm looking for a game for my daughter and see it at another GameStop store they will call around for me and have it delivered to my store. Used games are very good deals, never had any issues

When I went there the Employees were very nice and the prices were good and most of the things were in great condition, the only thing I do not like is their lack of specific things such as CTR and certain amiibos.
Tip for consumers:
Get some more specific items.

You will loose money coming to this store. They usually are update and in stock of the various games. However if you ever try to trade in a game you will only get pennies on the dollar.

Gamestop you say? Pass, I'm tired of rolling the dice with these guys, literally half of the pre-owned games I've bought through online orders have come defective - 3 PS4 games all looked alright if you glance at the disc itself but the problem is they don't do thorough testing beyond putting it in and seeing if something comes up.
Most recent case - Uncharted 4. Although you get to the startup screen after an abnormally long load, once you try to start a new game, after a minute or so passes of grinding CD read attempt noise, good 'ol "cannot read disc" error comes up. Similar to the last purchase months ago.
You know what, wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have an antiquated return process - why no free returns via mail on defective product? This time is especially aggravating as I have a leg injury so now SOL.
As it stands now, this company is a travesty of customer service and experience and has extremely poor product testing. Oh, and bundle deals are for the good of the people or some BS.

I spent over $300 on an Oculus headset for my sons graduation. Thanks to the horrible delivery service they use CDL its been a month & I have still not received the product. They had no issue billing me & taking my money but have yet to deliver my sons gift. Dealing with any human being is a joke and their automated trash emails telling you they are fixing or solving the issue have gone nowhere. I spoke with 1 very nice you g lady who after 3 weeks processed a replacement request after the product was lost in shipment (again CDL is trash) & I am now waiting over a month for receive my product. Again, no issue what so ever taking my money but can't simply get my sons Oculus headset. Trying to get any answers from anyone is like jumping through hoops. I will never ever purchase a single thing from Gamestop! This whole experience has me so disgusted. I just wanted to give my oldest a great graduation gift and thanks to gamestop I couldn't even do that & I am still waiting. It not like I have money to throw away to order another Oculus from somewhere else as I truly feel gamestop doesn't deserve to earn a single penny after this experience. Really wish I never ordered from this company!

Anytime I buy something that isn't a game disk or card at GameStop, it has issues. I saved up enough money to buy an XBox One and got it at GameStop, and when I got home, it couldn't play physical disk. I had bought a couple of games for it cheap at GameStop that I now had to rebuy, full price this time, on a preowned console that I couldn't refund the very next day not only because I had lost the receipt, but somehow the clerks didn't remember me. I had been shopping at that GameStop for years at that point. Then I bought a controller because the wires were cluttering at my desk. This time it wasn't preowned, it came in a box, it was all shiny and new and it had drift. I just want to play games and not get motion sick and play physical copies and I hate GameStop.

I went to Gamestop.com to pre-order the Duke Nukem Forever, Balls Of Steel special edition. This was to be a birthday present for my husband who has waited 14 years for this game. They had my credit card details. I went to check just before shipment was due & they had canceled my order without contacting me. I emailed them, to be told several different versions of why the order had ben canceled. They said they'd emailed me about verifying payment. I never received the email even though I got plenty of their newsletter emails and the order confirmation. They maintained that this was because their payment verification email came from a different address. In the end they refused to honour my pre-order and offered me $10 off any future orders. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from them ever! So hubby is now getting an ordinary version of the game from a local supplier since the special version has sold out. Gamestop have proven themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy to me, so please be warned!

I really like this store. They usually have the game I am looking for, even for older gaming systems. And they are reasonably priced. I like that they offer used games as well.

I ordered 2 games. The confirmation page never showed up. They charged me for one of the games and they never sent me an email. Help on site is useless

They offer you pennies on the dollar for a trade in. Ex, offer you $5, and sell it for $30. I know it's a business, but we are the same ones keeping you in business when buying.

I love the selection of games available and the customer service is always good. The only complaint I have is that I wish they paid more for games/trade-ins.

I love this store because they have awesome games. Whenever I need new game. I just contact them and they deliver my order very quickly. Just awesome.

DONT EVER BUY ANY NEW CONSOLE IN THIS STORE (located at Great Lake Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, MI); if you need to buy a New Console I strongly recommend you go to Best Buy; Here is my customer experience at this store: I bought a New PS4 VR Bundle on 10/13 (same day of the launch) and later I changed my mind and decided to return it 4 days later on 10/18; the box was open but the VR was never used, everything in the box was in the original package (games, controls, cables); The manager in this store refused to accept the return since the box was open, even when he saw that everything inside was in the original packaging. He told me to contact the Corporate office at Gamestop which I did and after waiting 45 min online I gave up; This would never happened to me at BestBuy, where you can buy a product, test it and if you don't like it you can simple return it with no question asked; The customer experience at GameStop has been the worst I have ever experienced.

Gamestop is a scam they will sell you a game or gaming system for a high price and then when you want to return it they will give you a quarter for what you paid for it

I ordered the Nintendo Switch Lite Turquoise System Starter Bundle via the GameStop website. My 10-year old son had saved up money for months on end so he could buy it. We waited a week for the bundle to arrive, even an extra day due to a shipping delay. My son couldn't help but get excited while waiting. Who could blame him?
The UPS truck finally arrived, he ran outside, grabbed the box, we opened it up, and... there was no Nintendo Switch Lite inside, only a game and a screen protector. No system. So, um how does somebody play a game without a system? And, uh... how do you put a screen protector on a system that you don't have? We checked outside to see if we missed another box. Nothing. We looked in the box we had received to see if we maybe missed it somehow? Maybe it was invisible? Perhaps it was hidden within a secret compartment inside a magical box? Nope. Just a game and a screen protector.
Apparently, GameStop didn't have any Nintendo Switch Lites in stock and didn't let me know this, deciding instead to send us a game and a screen protector just so they could charge us something. Thanks GameStop for making a 10-year old child cry for an entire day! Well done! Awesome job.
Hey, here's a good idea: If you don't have the product, don't claim you have the product and allow people to purchase it when you can't actually deliver it. This is like paying for a delicious meal and getting a raisin instead. You should be ashamed, GameStop. I, for one, will never use you again. In your mind's eye, imagine all the curse words you can... and I'm saying them to you now.

I would take Gamestop to poundtown if that was legal. Or even physically possible.
What I am trying to say is that there is an excellent selection of crap here.

GameStop is one of those larger game retailers that has pretty much taken over the market for shops that are specific to video games. With that being said, they are one of the poorer options for those looking to purchase both new and used games given that competitors are more likely to have more competitive pricing. Organization on their website is quite lacking and there are many cases where titles have wrong information on the page where the shopper is able to learn more about a particular title.
If for some reason something goes wrong with a transaction, it can take anywhere between 1 and 4 weeks to actually resolve the issue. They strongarm games publishers to produce specialized DLC for the games they are selling, essentially monopolizing specific content which ultimately harms the end consumer, though admittedly this is usually an aesthetic limitation and not one that impacts the direct game play. That being said, it's a dishonest move than an ethical games retailer wouldn't partake in, though they are not the only online retailer to do this either.
Competing online retailers are generally almost always cheaper to purchase when it comes to new titles both in digital and physical form. It's possible to get better deals on used physical goods through other websites and auction sites.

You can find any game you want@ the online gamestop store. The only problem is you will be paying alot higher retail then most other stores.
Still a good video game store. 4/5

They sold me a resealed game as brand new. When I got home and noticed the disk had fingerprints and scratches on it I went back to try and return it. They refused and said that they commonly reseal their games and that they wouldn't accept a return because it wasn't new. IT WAS NEVER NEW IN THE FIRST PLACE. Last I checked it was illegal to take products out of their factory seal and sell them as new items, apparently Gamestop doesn't care to routinely break the law. Don't support this company and their illegal business practices, I know I'll never shop there again.

I can't believe it! I put down my deposit on March 29th for the Nintenco Switch OLED Model The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition console to make sure I could get one for my son's birthday. The consoles came in at the end of April and NO ONE from Gamestop notified me they were in, not even an automated email or text although they have all my information as I am (WAS!) a PRO customer with an active PRO card. In fact, the store clerk talked me in to renewing my PRO card so I could get discounts when I picked up the console.
Then 48 hours later THEY SOLD MY CONSOLE to someone else. Hey Gamestop, here's a thought, maybe before you sell a good customer's reserved and paid for game console, YOU MIGHT WANT TO NOTIFY THEM IT ARRIVED AND COULD BE PICKED UP! No wonder the market thinks Gamestop is going out of business. I ended up buying it through Best Buy, which is where I will buy all my gaming products in the future.

Staff is pushy and tries to upsell on things. They had new games that were cheaper than the used versions and they kept trying to get me to buy the used one... Makes no sense.
