If I could leave less than a star I would. I ordered a Nintendo switch and they only sent me the cables and the wrist straps for the controllers. No consol was ever incased in my package. What am i supposed to do with just the cables? I called them multiple times, each time I would be on hold for anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour. There was no help. They told me that I could file a police report but that they would not help. I used to love this company, but I will never shop with them again.

I bought a refurbished PS4 from GameStop for my brother's birthday. Within 2 months it stopped turning on. After a lot of pushing they finally agreed to replace the PS4 if he sent the broken one back. Within 4 months the replacement one has also broken. 2 broken consoles within 6 months is unacceptable and GameStop refused to help me saying it's outside of their 30 day window. I spent over $300 on this and expect the console to work longer than 4 months.

I've been a lifelong customer of Gamestop. I pre-ordered Tears of the Kingdom from that store because of the pre-order bonus that was promised to customers. They ran out before the launch night crowd was taken care of, let alone people that needed to wait until the next day to get to the store. That wouldn't be that big of a deal except that when I asked about the bonus, the employee told me that I'm out of luck. That the whole reason I pre-ordered from the store was made moot by their "while supplies last" fine print. Fine, well, can I be put on a list to receive one when more are made? Nope, no list.
No longer will I buy or pre-order from them if they can't adhere to the promises that were made. And I will discourage all my friends from ever using their store.

I bought a nintendo switch online and never received (the tracking status said it was ready for shipping but never left for a week). I complained about it and they told me it was delivered (the tracking status magically changed for delivered at this moment with "retroactive delivery date"…real sketchy stuff) and now they don't want to return my money or help to resolve the problem.
Don't buy from this store online it's not trustworthy.

Ordered a ps5 June 2nd, 2023, about a week ago I got a in stock alert only to find out they were only collecting more back orders, and today they told me instead of filling current online orders they are selling it off to select Major city stores avoid buying consoles from them online at all costs! Please don't make the mistake I did it's w nightmare waiting for it to be delivered it's almost been a month I'm so upset about such. But I have no choice, but to wait so I am.

Have tried to get ahold of someone from customer service for few weeks now and can't get anyone on the phone there is no chat and I received an email back little more than a week later for them to tell me that the refund that I was looking for was already put back onto my GameStop card. I pulled up the transaction history for the card and screenshot it to show the money was never refunded and can't get any response. This is horrible customer service and theft

I bought a few games for my brother for Christmas. When I checked their site a few days before, I noticed 50% or more savings on video games during boxing week sales. Quickly returned my purchases and got my brother a gift card. He got all the games he wanted and then some!
Made me the hero of Christmas, at least in my brother's eyes.

I tried to order my brother a birthday present. Gamestop canceled my order 3 times! I contacted them and they said it was because my email came back as invalid? What kind of BS is that? My email is fine.
This company sucks and so does their slow horrible website.

I ordered an item on cyber Monday and was suppose to be delivered December 2 and never got it! Gamestop is a major scam! I contacted the customer service in which they left me on hold for hours on end just to be unless in the end!

I purchased my console over 3 weeks ago. GameStop sent me a email stating that my system was in the way to me. After 3 days the status of my shipping was "awaiting currier" and has been the same since. I've since contacted fedex as they are the currier for the shipping. FedEx stated that GameStop has said they they were waiting on GameStop the entire time. They have yet to send my system and have not updated me on when I can receive it. I'm extremely disappointed as I was told the system would be here before Christmas, which is days away and the system hasn't even left GameStop. They have completed ruined my holiday

I ordered my son's birthday/Christmas gift from the website. It was easy to navigate through and I understood everything that I needed to do.
Once I received the package I checked to be sure everything was in it. It looked like one of the games was missing. I called customer service and they were nice enough to send another game out. I have since found the game (it was stuck on the bubble wrap that fell behind the bed) and will be sending the other game back. I would definitely order form them again.

Don't trust Gamestop they use the Pandemic to ignore their customers. They don't answer emails or the phone and don't treat their customers right! Buyer Beware! They did not add my warranty at check with a refurbished game system. They did not respond to my emails. The stores were closed so I could not resolve at a local level. 3 months later when I finally got someone on the phone they refused to help me!

I tend to visit my local store as opposed to shopping online as I often am clueless as to what games are age appropriate for my 5yr old daughter. I always receive quick and helpful assistance from the employees in the store. They answer my questions and provide suggestions without being pushy or making me feel stupid when it comes to video games.

Love the stores but not gamestop.com. See the "Oops! We couldn't process your payment" error online. I had two gift cards and a Mastercard and all the site would do was reject my card and empty my cart. The gift cards applied just find but I had to re-enter them with every attempt. Gamestop.com has known about this error for OVER A DECADE. Will they fix it? No. Would they take my order by phone as they promised when I first called? No. Will they give me a refund on the unusable gift cards I purchased? No. Everything boiled down to one thing: you HAVE to go to the store. I wanted to order ONLINE. TAKE MY MONEY PLEASE. I don't want to go to a store right now! Their business is stumbling because they won't take our money! Peaved! Stores, five stars. Website & related customer service, zero stars.
Tip for consumers:
Trust that customer service won't help you. Consider this a solely brick & mortar company

Game stop is an amazing place both online and in store. I prefer to go in store so I can get the best deals. They do trade inS on games consoles, controllers, games and accessories. You get credit for the items you bring in for something new for you to take home. Save your credits for something big or use your credits on your purchases. They also offer a great rewards program which allows you to earn points for each purchase in exchange for prizes in the catalog. Game stop has a variety or games for many gaming systems.

Gamestop is one of my favorite places to buy games or consoles. There are cool games for cheap prices. There are also consoles that are cheap if someone them.If you don't like something you can return it but not get all your money back. Think about gamestop when your looking for a game, console or returning something you don't like.

They are always more than willing to help a customer, and nearly always have what I need in stock. Their prices are definitely the best because they have both used and new games. If they don't, they will point you to the closest store that does with a smile.

GameStop sells advertised new Xbox games and instead sends opened clearance items. On new unopened games, they say they are returnable to stores, but the stores are not able to refund back as items are purchased on PayPal credit. When I went to a local store to get refunded for the new but opened games and the sealed new game, the clerk called the manager, who said OK to issue the refunds on my three items, until the clerk called back and told they were purchased with PayPal credit, for which the returns and refunds were then denied by the manager of the local store. When I called customer service, the agent said the computer was slow and after waiting about ten minutes, he hung up on me.
Tip for consumers:
Beware of games advertised as new, when actually shipped opened games not sealed. Beware of using PayPal credit, as you can't return items bought to the store.

I ordered 2 items online and I also paid for faster shipping and handling. It should have taken about 3 to 5 days to arrived. On the 4th day, I checked the status of my order and it was still processing. No biggie right? I called them to cancel the order and the next day it was still active. I emailed them 4 times and it was still processing. Two weeks went by and I finally received the items that I purchased at Target instead of waiting because Gamestop could not give me an order status. I mean I paid extra, and I contacted them several times to cancel before the items left the warehouse. Go to Amazon, Target, Walmart etc instead.

Do not spend high dollar at GameStop. The store managers will tell you themselves, their policies can change any time, including their return policy. Policy changes apply to past purchases. You can buy an item while the return policy is 30 days, and the next day the policy can change to 15 days and applies to your purchase without you even knowing. Just plain bad business.

Worst business I've ever dealt with. I've been trying to contact them for over a week. I ordered game cards, they were digital but I didn't realize it. I got ripped off for 42.00 bcuz they will not respond to any kind of contact. Never again!

Their pre-owned consoles are decently priced, but several of their games are way overpriced considering the age of the games, the consoles, and the prices compared to other sellers. Also, their trade in values are ridiculous. I looked-up a $250 tablet to see what I could get for it and they were only offering a maximum trade value of $40. They need to offer better trade-in values so customers can actually benefit from bringing their used games, consoles, devices, and accessories to them.

No number for customer service to get assistance with an online order. I was told I paid for 1-2 business shipping and ended up realizing I paid for 5-7 business days the next day and was not able to cancel the order. Just checked my order today and it says that it will be delivered the following Tuesday. Never had issues with GameStop until now. HORRIBLE
