Ordered on 8th April, £136 worth of plants. At time of ordering, website stated, operating as normal with delivery 3-5 days but due to circumstances / busy times to allow upto 15 working days. 15 working days has come and gone! I have submitted 3 requests for update on order, 1st reply automated, 2nd reply addressed to wrong person and semi automated, no info relating to my order I'm any replies, no reply at all to my 3rd request. Having read reviews, this seems to be the norm. I doubt I will get me order and if I did, I doubt it will be fit for purpose. Now reported to bank in hope to claim for refund. Shocking company, do not order from them.

So update after relentless emails and ticket requests everything still unanswered. They have shipped my order, although I asked for it to be cancelled. I now have reported them to the police so at least they should be investigated. When you google the address a address starting with cottage now comes up check it out 192.
If you try and reach out to them on Facebook they block you, again check it out all comments are blocked. Trading standards are also aware and have contacted me as also the company house have been in contact regarding this company. GDPR is non compliance, again I have asked them how they store my data ect. By law they have to respond within a month again GDPR are aware of my complaint. AVOID AVOID AVOID

So now after 15 days I am still waiting for a reply and even my order. They refuse to reply on Facebook they will not allow comments. I sent them messages yesterday and now they have blocked me. Trading Standards, watchdog, citizens advice and police have been informed. They are a total sham and it is theft an need to be shut down. PLEASE PLEASE NOBODY BUY FROM THEM. You will be out of pocket. I am down £126.34

We were supposedly receiving two year old clematis in 2 litre pots and what we received were two tiny underdeveloped specimens in 1 litre pots - we know what healthy plants look like and how to pot them on and plant out after 40 years of gardening!
We have had better plants from Morrisons! We had perfect hueucheras from Heucheraholics packed superbly and apple trees from Germany that actually had apples on all for not much more money than the clematis.
The reply from them was formulaic and patronising and after reading reviews we now see it's a waste of time doing any returns or further business with them. They don't seem like gardeners themselves just people who pass on plants from nurseries without seeing them.

I reviewed this Mail Order several weeks ago. I would like to update it.
My Order was placed on the 16th April 2020. I waited, i sent email enquiries, but only got standard replies saying how hard everyone was working. I gave up asking in the end. Finally my plants arrived on the 20th June 2020. Over 2 months after I placed the order. They were quick enough to take my cash, but whilst I wanted to cancel my Order it wasn't possible. I dare say I would have had to jump through hoops to get my refund. The plants are ok. A bit straggly but will probably survive. They also sent a free gift of bulbs, probably as a piece offering. Thank you but no clue as to what they were or planting guidance. Nothing. This is the worst mail order experience I have ever had. Please think carefully before placing any order.

I have placed 2 orders with this company. The first arrived a month late. The plants on the first order were of very poor quality. The second order is over a month overdue. Numerous apologetic e mail blaming COVID have arrived but despicably this is obviously being used as an excuse for appalling service.

WARNING this is a scam. My order of pink Cordylines eventually arrived but nothing like description. They were supposed to be 60cm but were only 30cm at best. Plants also in very bad condition. They were therefore extremely overpriced for what they were. Completed customer survey and also emailed Gardening Express to lodge a complaint but no reply and can't get hold of them.

I will not be ordering again from this company. I ordered two wisteria amethyst falls on the basis i was going to recieve the same as the picture they were showing. I received two twigs an absolute disgrace. I recomend you not to order anything from this company.

Please do not use this company, the reviews about poor customer service are true. I honestly believe good reviews are fake. I placed my order on 27/03/20 and it is still waiting for dispatch (06/05/20). I have created 4 support tickets and not one of them has been answered. I have asked for a refund. Again they have not responded to that either.

Paid £25 for 3 Venus flytraps for my son. The plants are really tiny and half dead, I don't expect them to survive. Gardening Express haven't responded to my complaint and reading through the other reviews I don't expect them to. Daylight robbery!

Ordered 4 plants on 30 April. Received them late on 3June! Two of them looked green and as I would expect and the other two looked dead. Went on Thier site to contact them and could not find any details. No Tel numbers. Email address. Web site says it's possible to email the founders office but they don't actually advertise an email address? Thier site says they have a chat page but it's again not shown easily anywhere. It's like they don't want you to contact them when something goes wrong? Went on a few sites and noticed a number of v bad ratings for plants received in poor cond or damaged etc. People have even reported they guys to trading STDs! My advise is to shop elswere or gotoa garden centre. They even advertise plants they haven't got in stock which is most of the ones on Thier site?

Ordered from this company, not cheap i may add spent £152 and may aswell have thrown my money down the drain, complained to gardening express and havnt heard any thing back from them, ordered a photenia and it arrived all diseased, ordered a wisteria and this was nothing less than a twig in a plant pot, all plants arrived dead, dehyrated from the delivery not good. I have worked in plant wholesaling and this company is buying end of line products at a cheap price and selling for max profit, gardening express are nothing short of criminals stay away and do not purchase

On April 7 I spent £360, I have not received anything yet, today 10 of May.
On April 17 I received an email from gardening express saying they would be delivering my plants in the next few days. On April 29 I sent an email telling them, I did not want the plants and ask for refund. They did not reply. I call the credit card company and request a refund, which is on dispute. Do Not buy from this company, they are not serious, they blame Covid 19 for their poor services, I bought few plants from other garden centres and they were delivered the next day. Do Not waiste your money.

I have never in my life had dealings with such a bunch of rogues. I ordered a plant to be delivered for a birthday but on acknowledgment they had put my home address instead. Impossible to contact them, no reply to emails/support tickets of which I sent many. Plant received by me instead. Early July received an email from them saying my complaint had been passed to Customer Service to reply. Now August 7th & nothing received. What tricksters! They should be investigated by trading standards and closed down. DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEM.

Ordered a 1ft tree fern with 100cm minimum ferns. There was no trunk at all and ferns measured 70cm all most were shrivelled and dead. Sent 9 messages and 3 emails to the CEO. No response at all. Contacted bank in the end.

Appalling bunch of cowboys. Still owe us for a dead clematis that arrived 6 weeks ago, nine weeks after ordering. They blame everything on COVID... so how does every other online company manage? They are like Banksy... impossible to contact. E-tickets? Might as well write to the Martians. See their Trust Pilot reviews too where they are ranked 193 out of 194 garden centres. They've been reported to Watchdog, the Press, Rip off Britain, various GOV sites and Trading Standards. Christopher Bonnett their MD is too busy enjoying his £1.2 million house Piece Cottage' to bother about his customers. Their come-uppance is due very soon!

I have ordered with them four times. The second order was for a pair of standard roses which both arrived dead.
I'm still waiting for the third and fourth orders placed on 12th and 14th April. (it's now 19th May)
They are unlikely to arrive before the end of May which is way too late to enjoy the plants I've ordered.
They don't respond to queries (tickets in their language).
They continue to advertise which is even more galling.
The delivery times quoted on their web site are completely fictitious.
You use this company only if you want atrocious service and extreme disappointment.
I have reported them to Trading Standards and the Advertising Authority and am seeking refunds from my credit card company. The company is owned by Chris Bonnett the sole director and made a profit of £684,000 last year. They can afford to improve their offering and customer service.

DO NOT BUY from this terrible company. Don't be mislead, as I was, by the guarantee' which states that it cover ANY plant' for five years. IT DOES NOT. There are exceptions which mean the you must cross-check the reference numbers of the items in your basket with a list contained within the small print. This goes against trading regulations and I shall be contacting Trading Standards to discuss their deliberately misleading website offer'.

They advertised 4 acers as a Special Offer 50% off were £80, now £40 for a ltd time - what arrived were 4 twigs with no leaves, nothing like the description and will take years to mature if they do at all, one is completely dead, but they refuse to refund or even offer a token discount - they cannot be contacted other than by chat and you have to wait for hours, they then send you std text explaining that the plants are OK and will grow into healthy specimens and that making up various excuses for why they are in such a bad state but accepting no responsibility, in one word DIABOLICAL!... post review note, after lots of complaining via the Chat they have finally agreed to give me my money back for the dead one - watch this space!
