Stay away from this company. First of all they failed to deliver part of my order. Then when
The remaining part of the order arrived, the plants were in poor condition. Some were damaged and despite sending photos of the plants, they refused to replace or refund and I was told to plant in the garden, and see if they survived. The paeonies did not flower and other plants had pot bound roots. I must have had tens of e -mails re the original complaint and they kept closing down the complaint without resolution, or offering any refund. Previous review branding them as THIEVES is TRUE.

Ordered early April, 3-5 days delivery, maybe 10-15 days in busy times. Contacted them to enquire, had standard response, then a really sorry we are working on your order, then I looked at their reviews... then I rang the bank as 30 days since ordering. They said can't cancel, processing, blah blah blah. No way was I accepting this nonsense so I looked on their social media, wish I hadn't as it was all negative from customers (although they weren't customers with real plants as they hadn't got their plants because there was a delay. Cut a long story short as I am as bored of this as everyone else. They said my order had been cancelled, but I still had to chase them up. No customer service.

This company is not easy to get hold of! Calls are 7p per minute! If you email you get a response saying they will get back to you eventually. I ordered 10 lavender plants and received 3. Their response was that they have fulfilled the order. So I now have to wait yet again for a response, not happy.

I have been trying to get service from this company concerning a dead apple tree they sent me. I am unable to take a photo being elderly and isolated and lacking the camera(i have told therm this numerous times and been ignored). I have offered to return it but they insist on a photo saying they will then advise me on how to bring it back to life... read the reviews before buying from them...

I ordered 17 April, arrived 29 June. Emailed several times to cancel order as most of the plants now out of season. There was no response other than automated replies blaming COVID. Plants arrived either dead, very badly damaged or totally out of season. I raised several tickets, absolutely no response. I have been asking for a refund. There is no way of speaking to anyone at this business, it's very frustrating. Unless you want to give away your money for dead plants, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Bought 5 fruit trees for £24.99 two failed to grow, did the bark test, the two were dead. Contacted gardening express who said send them back and we will look at them under the five year guarantee. I pay postage to send them back £5 per plant and enclose £5 each plant for them to return them to me. DONT $#*!ING THINK SO! I'll stick to the £4 ones from B&M which are now full of fruit.

Ordered rockery plants
One plant missing went to call only to find out its a robotic virtual. Customer service then very slow person typing
Gave me wrong order picture took ages communicating. In the end said they will refund but don't know when
If you want an online ONLY with no telephone contact DONT buy from this company

I really can't give this company any stars at all. I placed an order of over £100 over 7 weeks ago and I have recieved nothing. As we are in the middle of a pandemic I allowed for my order to take longer than the 2 weeks that they advised but 7 weeks is ridiculous. I have ordered from other nurseries after I placed this order and recieved all of them in good condition and within the time frame they advised it would take and they are now all planted. I have emailed requesting my money back as I have had to go out and but more plants as I haven't recieved these but have not heard back from them. I'd never order from this company again.

Do not order from them. I immediately raised a ticket of complaint (you cannot speak to a real person), the plants were dying and the box severely damaged. My complaint was sent to a "higher authority" a month later there is no response, despite numerous follow up mails to ask what is going on. This is the WORST customer service ever. It is clear their plants aren't looked after and they don't care about their customers. They close tickets they hide behind and nothing is done. I wish I had found this site before I ordered, I would never have ordered and WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN. Stay away from them.

I am nearly 80 years old and made a mistake in my house number.
All Gardening Express has said that I must sort it out with Yodel & Yodel say that they can not amend the number without the senders permission which I quite understand.However Gardening express are intransigent about this and the upshot is that they have my money and I do not have the goods.
No wonder that they "hide" behind a no telephone number policy.All of this worry has made me feel very ill and am now resigned that I will not see my money or my goods.
I can not upload proof of purchase as I do not know how to do it-I have given the order

I ordered in good faith on 11th April and the website indicated that the 3 to 5 days processing time had been delayed to 10 to 15. I checked at 15 days and the website then said 20 days and it is now 5 weeks and still no idea of when they will be delivered. This is in marked contrast to all other local and online services I have used

This outfit should be done under the Trades Description legislation as "Express" it is not. Order placed 12/4/20, delivered 22/5/20 and one of the plants was dead. Chased up to find out when during the waiting period, and all we got was "Covid". Other companies also got orders from us, all were way better than this outfit, with deliveries from a couple of days to about 1 week. We use Facebook, and have noticed their updates, and rants when people leave bad feedback for them, even threats to block them. PLEASE BLOCK US, so we can't use you again.

I have sent numerous e mails to this company as I never wish to trade with them. They send me lots of e mails and when I reply asking to unsubscribe they just ignore me.
A few weeks I received 3 of their plants, one was a clematis, with only two green leaves on it, all the rest were dead. The acer palmatum dissectum purple was ordered but I definitely did not receive the correct plant as it had mostly green leaves and was very misshaped.

I was very disappointed to receive diseased plants from gardening express.
When I complained and sent them photos I was told I must return the plants to them at my own cost!
As this will be almost the cost of the plants and I need to package them again I didn't bother.
It's hard to believe that anyone put them in the post in the first place if i was able I would post a photo... the leaves had brown spots some causing holes in the leaves. I had to throw away as another plant my be affected.

Terrible! Do not ordered from this company!
Firstly I opened the box my plants had been delivered in to find the had been snapped to get them in to the box. Secondly the were almost dead the were so dry all the leaves were past wilting into dry stage. The tree I ordered which was £30 was a 16 inch twig with 8 dry leaves on also hanging on within an inch of its life! I contacted them which was difficult as there no number or e mail, I sent pictures of the plants they said give them water they would be fine. The total cost of the plants was over £100 I don't feel its ok to send nearly dead plants and expect the consumer to nurse then to life. I also ordered lillys that didn't arrive.

I placed an order, just as I did so I noticed that it had defaulted to my old address, I emailed immediately to inform them. Here the saga starts, notification of attempted delivery at old address, contacted gardening express, who can only be contacted by a live chat and you need to be a magician to find it, to be told to contact Hermes there was nothing they could do. Hermes are another company that have no number to ring, I could not find any way to contact them. All I wanted Gardening Express to do was recall my parcel or inform Hermes of my new address, they would do neither. So I have lost nearly 40.00 Hermes are still trying to deliver live plants that they have had since the 7th December and today is 20th December, so cannot imagine any plants will be still alive.
Never have I encountered service like this and I am saying that honestly, neither have I written a bad review. Avoid this company

Gardening express advertised a Specimen 5-6 ft cordyline on special deal from £149pp to £49.99 when it arrived in a less than 4 ft box I was very suprised! When I took plant out of box in measured just over 4 ft to the top of the longest point on one of its leaves, after a month of requesting a replacement of a refund I have still not received a solution! So I am left out of pocket and with a plant I don't want! Will not be buying or recommending them again.

Don't buy from this company, they sold me a dead bare rooted tree and now won't respond to the tickets other than to delete them without any contact, the 5 year guarantee is worthless.
IMO Scammers, you owe me £45 Garden Express

72 days on, they still have not contacted or refunded me, scammers

1 year on, they have still not contacted me for a replacement or refund

Was sent a dead plant and after many attempts at making contact with customer services I was told to send photographic evidence. I did this, only to be told the 'nursery manager' said there was nothing wrong with the plant and if I looked after it, it would start to thrive! After leaving a poor review on a different website, I was contacted and told I could return the plant and exchange for another... AT MY OWN COST! A complete joke of a company. My poor, dead plant has been composted and I will never deal with Gardening Express again. Neither will my friends and family after reading some of the comments I've put on social media!

Dreadful customer service. Contacted them by email about a problem with my order as it's the only way they communicate with customers; what type of company doesn't have a phone number.
Still not heard a thing from them.

On 13th April I ordered £89:00 worth of perennials from this online company www.gardeningexpress.co.uk whose website looked impressive and who seemed to be one of the only companies with any stock still available. They quoted 2-4 weeks delivery due to Covid 19 situation. However they took the payment from the bank on 15th April. I finally received 4 cartons of dead and dying plants 7 weeks after placing the order. Communication with this company is impossible. Throughout the 7 weeks of waiting I made numerous attempts to contact them with no success. They do not have a phone number and the only response I have received to my many e-mails is an automated reply. They offer one option to get in touch which is through a system of completing a Ticket Request, which they never reply to, despite claiming a response within 3 days. They even send an automatic reply asking you not to keep sending "Tickets". Finally, to receive
A load of decaying plants is the last straw

I ordered two plants almost three weeks ago, which have still not arrived. I haver tried chasing the company to find out the whereabout of my order but their phone number cuts me off every single time.

I have also emailed twice and nobody has replied to me. I have the sinking feeling that this company are not above board and desperately hope I have not just been robbed.

I ordered a pair of Photinia, the description says 'TWO strong' plants with a lollypop ball of foliage on top, which are 'ready to simply position and enjoy'. The plants I have been sent are young, weak, with no ball of foliage and a couple of years away from being ready to display.

The plants I have been sent are so weak they don't even stand up. They need repotting or planting in the ground. Not display ready.

Gardening Express took a week to reply. There doesn't seem to be an email or phone number and they said the plants look as they should and that I can't return them.

Also took more than two weeks for these weak little plants to arrive, even though it says 3 - 5 days.

I recently purchased the following items from the Gardening Express sale: Colourful Garden Mum Chrysanthemums, Fargesia 'Asian Wonder' - Red Dragon Clumping Umbrella Bamboo, and Maranta Fascinator - Prayer Plant, totaling £47.93. Unfortunately, I found them to be noticeably smaller and of lower quality than expected, and in my opinion, not worth the sale price. Despite reaching out via email to request a return and refund, I have not received a response.

AVOID... AVOID... AVOID. Sent me dead and dying plants, so as required by them, I raised a ticket of complaint & sent it with the required photo evidence. Ticket was acknowledged & said a team adviser was dealing with it. Ticket was never updated & NO contact or explanation was given before they just closed the ticket. I tried giving them the benefit of doubt in these covid times with 3 more tickets raised, but every one of them was treated in exactly the same way... totally ignored and closed. Please avoid, search online and you will see so many same/similar experiences as my own... Wish I had :(
