Had genuine concerns following reading some terrible reviews on this site... after I'd placed my order of 2 Cordyline Australis.
I messaged GE and they replied swiftly reassuring me that I would receive my order in excellent condition, and they acknowledged that due to the vast amount of orders they send out each week that some customers on occasion may submit negative reviews.
I have today received my order, I opened the boxes in trepidation and was relieved to discover 2 fantastic trees in great condition.
I would urge anyone concerned to contact them & give them an opportunity to provide you with some reassurance, as I did.

I have now spent a total of £84 with this joke outfit. First order for blue asters, despite being protected, died with 2 weeks, the second was for 2 jasmine which have shown no life or growth at all since purchasing some months ago, and the final order for a total of £32 is always marked awaiting delivery, but never happens. This company is geared up to take your money but not to be contacted, the telephone is never answered and rings until it is disconnected and there is no satisfactory email address. It will be obvious to you that a company that has no customer service and dose not wish to communicate with you should not be touched with a barge-pole. I sent a recorded delivery letter, but am not holding my breath about getting any satisfaction. Please do not send them any money.

There's nothing EXPRESS about this company. A month on and ive had an email saying my order is being prepared! When I ordered the plants from the site, they were in stock. I emailed to cancel as the event for which I needed the plants was long gone. No response from the company. Still received nothing. Don't buy from them.

I join, as I write, 151 other dissatisfied customers of Gardening Express. I have tried to reclaim the money I paid six months ago for a dead hydrangea. A poor bare stick of a plant when it arrived, but I hoped with care it would show some sign of life by spring. It didn't. After several emails I finally was offered, according to the terms of their 5 year guarantee, not a refund but a replacement plant, BUT I had to return the dead plant AND pay for transport of the new plant. They also require the original receipt and plant label. I have simply given up, and they win, but I would never use this company again and would advise you to steer clear of them.

Some of the plants supplied were of appalling quality and would never be seen in a nursery or garden centre of any standing. Customer service takes the stance that the plants are of good quality, despite the obvious contrary position. They rely on customers not being prepared to pay for the return of the plants which should never have been sent out in the first place.
One star is one too many.

If you can raise the dead then go ahead and order from this company. You wil be sent dead plants, if indeed any at all. You cant get in touch with them. They ignore emails and any complaints. No better than scammers. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Well I did see a lot of negative reviews but still went for them as I didn't have much choice at that point. To my surprise they were not that bad... Kind of okay with pricing and services but a lot can be improved.

My monkey puzzle tree arrived within 10 working days, and was in great shape (as shown in photograph). Soil was moist which was surprising in this hot weather, but the plant is very healthy and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Took my money and sent a dead, old plant. Now will not respond to my claim and have made it impossible to call or email them. Recovering money through credit card. If enough people do this then they will hopefully be held to account.

I have bought some flowers from them, really enthusiastic and they have sent me dead and dry plants and in broken pots. I have sent them pictures and they replied: "the plant is alive so Keep taking care of it and let us know if we can help with anything else"
For me this is really unprofessional... how can they sell dead plants with leaves that are withered in the first place!
Do not waste your money or time! All they sell is dead or dying flowers!

I should have looked at the reviews first!
I ordered 8 plants and received only 5. I have tried to phone( no response), I have e mailed several time, no response and I am currently out of pocket by about 120 pounds.
This is clearly not a good company to deal with. The plants that I did get were pathetically small and in poor condition.
I am calling my bank to cancel all payments.
Shambolic company.

I ordered a small tree, a perennial and some corms. The tree arrived first and was completely dried out with the roots wrapped in a plastic bag with no soil. It still looks dead 3 weeks later and although I have completed the contact form, I have not received any response what so ever. The perennial was in a pot but half the stems were dead and the few leaves were yellow and very small. My main concern is having no response from my complaint. I will not use this company again and would advise that you don't either.

Do not use gardening express, they sent the wrong plants, then pretend they have a customer services but don't be fooled. They just shut down your ticket after a while, then say they don't have the information, I've done this three times now and I've yet to get a proper response from them. Disappointing as it's a good idea but in practice they need to get their act together

First and last time ordering plants online, this is the worst online business I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Told me my plants were being hand picked and despatched within a few days, boxes arrived damaged and plants had quite clearly been inside for weeks

Just dreadful. Placed an order - took 12 days before I was told it would be delivered. The parcel was left outside and I did not get it when I returned home. I have raised 12 'tickets' and had no satisfactory response - just automated ones. The most appalling customer service and waste of my money My advice? Do not use this company.

Tree never received order in April. Refusing to deal with the complaint in the correct manner. I would not buy anything from this company. They are now saying we have had the delivery when we never had it to try and get out of giving our money back. Disgusting customer service and this company are clearly ripping a lot of people off. My plants turned up completely different to the picture shown online. I've now returned the plants and had no refund. It's been 2 weeks since they were sent back and I've contacted them 4 times since with no reply. Avoid! Worst company around!

Plants were not in the state I would have expected, actually that's an understatement, they were half dead and it wasn't down to transportation. I contacted the company via their contact page with photos and then again a week later via email and still not heard anything back. I would be very wary buying anything from this company.

I really wish that I'd read the reviews before I put myself through the pain of trying to deal with this company. Terrible product, completely not as advertised. Complete lack of customer service. I'm now talking to my bank about refunding my money through them. My best advice to anyone is not to deal with them.

Having ordered a fruit tree from Gardening Express it arrived severely damaged with branches snapped off and looking almost dead! I opened a support ticket to request a replacement or refund and got a response within a week to say the ticket had been passed on for resolution. 2 months later they closed the ticket with no communication, resolution or refund. I'd stay WELL AWAY from using this cowboy company!

This company is a scam company and steals people's money. They took my money over 6 months ago and refuse to give it back, thus breaking the Consumer Rights Act. They have been reported to Trading Standards and I am now opening a court case against them for fraudulent activity. Stay away at all costs, and be warned, this is a scam company!

Delivery was late, no reply to emails and the trees sent were crooked rather than grown straight with all but 1 branch hacked off and no flowers. Nothing like the photos, just an oversized stick and not even as big as the description stated. Won't shop again and do not recommend as they have no customer service, not even a response to me.

The plant pictures on the site are misleading, plants delivered after a delay (11 days) are not as photographed. Can't call them, they don't respond to email. Please, please do yourself a favour and order from a reputable company.

Do not use these people. Plants arrived weeks after I ordered them, halfway dead and company refused to accept any fault. Apparently, lavender plants are supposed to look dead at this time of year!
