GW offers our family a variety of tools and accessories beyond what is available at big box home improvement stores, or even specialty hobby or gardening outlets. Many of their available tools source from quality providers in the USA and worldwide, rather than being sourced from mass producers of lower quality and less innovative designs. The online catalog is easy to access and survey what is available for a hobby, gardening or home project. And, orders are promptly properly packaged and shipped. The invoicing process was straightforward and pricing or discounts properly applied. Customer service is responsive should any issues arise.
WEnt on the web site and bought a steel pan, Looked nice and figured it would serve my needs. Tapped the button to buy and *pow* my $$ disappeared...Got a reply that it would ship"soon" yeah,right...No shipping confirmation after about a week, Went to the Garrett-Wade web site, No help there. Said I didn't make an order. Tried a couple of times and same result...Tried calling...futile effort, Seems everyone was out cooking in my new pan... Waited a couple weeks and the pan finally showed up, Third party shipper from their warehouse...As a side note: The pan is as advertised and works well.
Great quality tools, I bought some gardening tools from them and loved them. They arrived quickly after i ordered them, they even sent a free key chain as it was my first order. I'm seriously never going to buy crappy tools again, the frustration you get from a new shovel that is blunt after a couple weeks, or the handle to starts to jiggle around. So annoying! Anyway, buy Garrett Wade, you wont regret it, you will just enjoy the great tools they have.
The pocket pruner I ordered to replace one I've used for years, but lost, was not cutting well. Don't know if it was dull or misaligned, but GW promptly sent me a replacement and it works fine like the original one.
Item picked from a the catalogue and ordered on the internet was a smooth and quick process. This is my second order for these incredible trimmers. With this pair I purchased the holster which is an excellent addition when working outside to prevent accidental misplacement of your trimmers.
The lamp and knives I purchased were as advertised and arrived quickly after ordering. Both items met my expectation and, as past purchases from Garrett Wade, convinced me to stay on as a Garrett Wade customer. I have also received feed back from Garrett Wade confirming my order and explaining that my items have shipped and what items were on backorder. The staff is helpful and polite. I gave this galvanized watering can as a gift to my sister in-law. She was extremely happy with it, said it was well made and very useful in watering outdoor plants as it holds a good amount of water. It's her new favorite. It was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition.

Was looking for a unique and useful gardening tool to purchase for my Mom for Mother's Day and came across Garrett Wade's website.

I returned an item and failed to put my return slip in there, but used the UPS slip. Because I can't find my UPS slip they are refusing to give me credit. When the item was received they should be able to tell who the customer is by the UPS slip. When I inquired via email thinking it would be simple they customer service reps were clueless and didn't even try to help.

I order regularly from Garrett Wade. The leather apron was a huge hit with a mechanic friend. The pruning saws are unsurpassed in cutting and beauty. I buy chisels for myself a few at a time. They hold their edge and are a pleasure to work with.
I ordered the historic Odd Job for my son and recently ordered the reprint of the Stanley tools catalog. He has a lot of antique tools that belonged to my father and I thought he would appreciate the Odd Job even if he only used it as a paperweight. It is beautifully recreated and he loved it. It's a great gift for anyone who appreciates that fine art of woodworking. He will get the catalog this Christmas. I'm sure he will find some tools in there that belonged to his grandfather and will really appreciate them. In addition I really love their catalog which is full of interesting games, tools etc which are all beautifully crafted---truly a very unique company.
I've always been pleased with the products from Garrett Wade, most recent purchase was a shovel that was out of stock. Got an E-mail when it came in but had problems with the Web site, ended up calling to place the order. The woman who took took the call was very pleasant, but there was so much noise in the background of the call (numerous very loud voices) that she couldn't seem to mute that it was really quite an annoying experience. Once the order was placed shipping was super fast, product was great. Several weeks later I was going to place another order, but realized that the only shipping option was UPS. A major snowfall had just made than a non-option for delivery to my house, no choice to use USPS, even though the items were very small, so I just abandoned the cart.

I can't speak highly enough of the quality of the leather tool tote! I initially ordered three for the guys on my Christmas list. After seeing an examining the leather and the quality of the craftsmanship- I found myself ordering another one Now that's a lot of money for a tool bag. I think you are selling yourself short by not calling it an all purpose tote. I am a very busy woman -constantly running-And I would absolutely love carrying this bag on a daily basis to and from my car with everything I'll need for the day! It is extremely sturdy since being made specifically for guys and tools! I'm telling you it should be marketed as a steal of a deal for a unisex all leather /handmade square bottom everyday carryall tote - I wish my family would gift me one

I love the products at G-W but the ordering software needs to be "cleaned up." More often than not it takes several tries to finally place an order. Once or twice over the years I have not ordered something due to the frustration in trying to order. But, I usually plod through the process because I like G-W products.
Garrett Wade has always been a favorite company of mine. I have shopped off and on with them for at least 25 years, and many of my best and favorite tools I purchased from them, from wood carving tools to garden tools. High quality. Good design. Good service.
We love the brown bag for firewood. It is an improvement over a log carrier that simply has a dowel handle, because no moss/bark/mess falls out. We couldn't have made it ourselves for such a nice quality and price. We liked the first one so much upon arrival that we quickly ordered a second.

I ordered $829.46 worth of merch. Unfortunately, somewhere between shipping and receiving I only recieved $200 worth. One box was great but, the other was tampered with. Someone cut the label off the box and taped to a smaller box. All but one piece of my order was missing in the box. Looking at the label, what was shipped never would have fit in the box I received. I am an elderly widow. These tools were ordered to help me do something I love gardening. Plus, a couple gifts for Christmas for a family member. UPS is investigating, but because the label said 2 packages and I recieved 2 boxes they warned me I may not get anything back. I really just want the tools I ordered.

Just recently received the GT3 grafting tool from Garrett Wade. They had the best price on this tool on the internet. Good quality tool with sharp blades and an extra anvil is included. The tool is capable of doing three types of grafting cuts and it comes with detailed instructions on how to change blades. Also included is an informative booklet on performing different types of grafts. A Garrett Wade catalog was also included and features different products and tools they have available like the chainsaw sharpener and drill sets. The prices are unbeatable. I will not hesitate to purchase from them again.
I have ordered items from your catalog for years. Your merchandise is first class. Imagine my dismay when this past year I found out that you do not ship to Alaska. Putting Alaskans all in the same jar is a mistake. Residents of Ketchikan, Alaska's most southern city is 1000 miles from Alaskan cities in the northern part of our state. We are closer to Seattle Washington, and you mail to them. I am so disappointed in this decision to lump us all together as we are such a massive state with such differing mailing outcomes. I have already easily found another company that doesn't discriminate against Alaskans.

Ordered a set of GW chisels for my woodworking son. He's been tryin to deal with "Brand-X" chisels and has paid the price of low quality tools so a new set of GWs was purchased for him. He did just make us - his parents - a pair of Adirondak-style yard chairs that are designed to be taken down quickly for winter storage. I've always appreciated GW's quality and respect their reputation in providing high quality yet affordable tools for the home or professional shop. Ordering and shipping were quick and easy. Bought five flyswatters from GW: wooden handles with heavy metal rods and mesh screen target areas. In less than a month, three have fallen apart completely and the other two don't have much left in them. Could have purchased 40 cheap plastic swatters at the local supermarket for less money.

Besides high quality specialty tools, they have regular, every day use tools that will last for generations. These are tools that you will hand down to your children, and then to their children... etc.

April 20,2021 ordered a 100 ft. Stainless steel garden hose. With tax it $104.21. I think it was 15 days maybe more arriving. It broke I called co. They said would mail me return sticker. My printer not working. That took 12 days. No fault of co. For that. I rec. Shipping label June 2nd. Called customer service to see if they could send replacement hose before they rec. Broken one. Lady said yes. June 17 still no hose called the lady said hose on back order be in some time in August. I was taken aback by that statement. Hot and dry in Memphis. I asked for refund was told ok. Credited back to my account $86.70. It cost me $17.51 to do businesswith company. I would not recommend them.
