Awfully sad experience! I purchased 4 saltwater fish to have shipped to me even though the establishment is a local one. They did not provide accurate tracking, packing was really good, but 3 fish arrived dead.
Website says to photograph and email them within a short time period and they will refund. I did this, and was not contacted that say. Called store next day and they were closed. They finally called me on the third day and there was a minor argument as to whether they would refund due to the time lapse, but I had proof that I followed the guidelines. That ended that back sliding.
Bottom line he told me that he could only refund 50% of the value of the fish. In addition to this slap in the face, he would not refund cash, instead it has to be store credit.
Husband was upset, so he took the bag with the three dead & now rotting fish (kept in case they tried to get out of it again saying that I did not ship the dead ones back to them.) to the store & see what NON live item he could purchase with our pitiful store credit. He came back with pictures on his phone of the store, and showed me the small, dirty tanks that contained more dead fish to live fish ratios, and a slightly irritating report that while speaking to the associate as to what submersible pump was recommended he was walked away from and ignored when an attractive female came in acting quite ditzy asking about which fish tank she could buy her boyfriend. Considering that the tanks are all priced well over $500, it was obvious that they were no longer interested in discussing $200 pumps. To walk away in the middle of a conversation though? Do not order anything from this site. The fish are not healthy, the return policy is not what it states, you will lose money at this site.
