Never had a big problem with them. I've bought 3 guitars during the years. One time i got discount for cosmetic issue and once my amp broke. They didn't want it back, but sent me a new one. (took a while tho). I like the way it's possible to pay via different ways, but their pricing is higher than some of their competitors. Even after being gold or platinum member. Also, their stock might feel slightly limited when looking spare parts. This all being said, I'll give it a solid 4/5. Ps. I think they raised their game after some negative user experiences.

Emailed the company to enquire about a product and got a short reply explaining I should contact the manufacture myself, I said I wasn't able to and if they could to which they replied with just a phone number in the email.
Lazy.
Prices seem good but customer service is terrible. I vowed I would never buy from gear4music again after one particular farce and would recommend that anyone who is considering them would think twice. I also have reason to suspect that they sold me a fairly expensive speaker system (which is now fully broken) as new when it was actually B stock. I can't prove anything and having previously done battle with their returns process, I have had to cut my losses. Don't be lured in by their prices, you will pay more in the long run.

I bought spare parts several times and bought 3 guitars
Bought this guitar with high expectations which were smashed by Gear4music, really nice clean guitar with easy assembly and a very nice tone.
One small gripe i would have is to ensure that the wires on the diagram are the same as those in the guitar.
A piece of advice would be to spend the extra £10 to get the ash body as it is a harder wood and will last longer.
Loved the product and the service provided.

Bought a bundle pack £339. It was unsuitable so all was returned at a cost of £12.49 which I agreed. Only got £237.64 credited to my account and a further £73 and then £15.69 was taken OUT of my account instead of refunded. After numerous emails and telephone calls and sending them screenshots of my account, they still insisted they had refunded the whole amount. Finally I have had to get Amex to start proceedings. Will NEVER use them again.
Bought this just over 2 years ago and it's just out of warranty, does not work, they won't help, they recommend WD greenhill to repair it, they don't answer phones, none of my local repair people will touch it because of the brand, do not use gears 4 music
I bought two (2) basses from them. Both had absolutely horrendous setups. And were unplayable. One I was able to fix (as well as a loose tone control) the other is going back. The first one is a Gear4music and I would not recommend unless you know how to fix and modify instruments (it has bridge that has too narrow a spacing for the neck). The return policy through DHL is a total pain (you have to schedule a pickup and they supposedly have to examine the contents, Moronic).

Both basses I ordered were shipped without anyone paying any attention to their set up or condition. The San Francisco Semi Acoustic Bass was poorly packaged (I was amazed it was not damaged). And the item box looked like this was a return. Return process through DHL is a real pain and convoluted.

I was unhappy with a keyboard stand bought as part of a package deal as it does not securely hold the keyboard which is dangerous for my five year old. I have been told it will cost £6 - £7 to return despite the product being completely unfit for purpose and worth less than £15. I spent over £200 and they won't return. They openly admitted on the phone the stand was far from stable and keyboards would wobble and yet there is no mention of this in the product description. Terrible service dreadful company.
I should have read the reviews first. I've chosen this company for promised fast delivery, order shipment notification came in one day, but UPS tracking didn't work. Waited. In didn't work at the date of the scheduled delivery. Called the customer service - the item wasn't shipped, they didn't know where it was and seems no one really cared! Money charged - deal is done. Now I already bought in another store and use the piano. I told them I no longer need it and asked to cancel the order and proceed with the refund. They response is ridiculous: we'll first figure out what's wrong with you order and then HOPEFULLY proceed with your refund or just ship it to you if we find it. Hey guys! I don't need the order anymore, I don't need the shipment, you didn't sell me anything - you just robbed my account for €600. Never ever!

I ordered a marshall amp. Said they had stock. Then 3 months of excuses as to why no delivery. APRIL TILL AUGUST no amp. Written excuses about covid causing issues. I cancelled 10 days and still no refund. I ordered the same model amp on Amazon 2 days later my son plugged his guitar into a brand new amp. Amazon had 3 dozen in stock. He was Gear4music said supplier was short staffed and back logged. Amazon 2 day.

Bought a resonator guitar paid by credit card guitar arrived but cracks a long the side of the neck appeared where the frets go in.phone gear 4 music they had it picked up today by ups no recipte left for me but have him on door ring camera scanning bar code on box and taking it to his van
No idea when the new replacement will be sent out.I asked if a new one could be sent out with ups as they pick up the faulty one I was told no
So now I wait and it looks like it will be next week as its may bank holiday
Well this was a first buy for me at 70 and will not be buying of this company again ever

I tried to cancel an order within 8 hours or of making it only to be told that the order had ‘already been dispatched.' I found this hard to believe as I made the order at 10pm.
When speaking to another member of staff I was told the order ‘was in the van' and could not be cancelled. The policy of this company is clearly ‘we do not allow you to cancel an order'.
When I asked for the name of the manager I was told he was called ‘Junior'. No surnames we're given as the member of staff "didn't feel comfortable" sharing full names!?
Unbelievable. I could not be transferred to anyone nor could I get any more information. About the manager of the company. I will now have to return an item which I know has not yet been dispatched. This is clearly how this company works in the hope that people won't bother returning items.
I won't use them again and am astounded at the secrecy surrounding the managers.

Bought a rode mic from them its been about a year and the mic has just randomly stopped working, i wouldn't have paid £300 for the whole kit it came with if i knew it would be broken so soon, thank you to this site for allowing actual REAL reviews and not the paid for ones gear4music prefers to use on other not trust worthy pilot sites.

Don't order anything of great value. This company lost a piano, value £2,400, I cancelled the order, since I never received it, yet they are refusing to issue a refund until the piano magically reappears.
Avoid them
Let down by Gear4Music's customer service as they have chosen to ignore an issue with a fault rather than resolve it. Bought a faulty amp from Gear4Music, they asked for a video showing the fault, sent it to them. No reply. Guitar and amp were a Christmas present, now I'm out of time to have it replaced.
Considering their email address keeps coming back as invalid makes any purchasing questionable.
Also, potential purchasing consumers should be aware that most, if not all products are considered "B Products." However, being unable to contact this company for information also adds to the apprehensiveness towards making any purchases.
You might think you would get a better customer service because you paid more to buy from these guys. Absolutely not! I paid £300 for a keyboard instead of £250 from their competitors based because they claimed they would deliver in two weeks. That date got pushed back twice. I said if you do not know the date you should be more conservative on your. When he couldn't give me a date, refused to adjust his price, couldn't tell me why my emails are being ignored he put the phone down. Of course I cancelled my order with pleasure.
Reading the majority they all seem to have 1 thing in common. Gear4music don't care about their customers, I spent near £5000 on some DJ gear in Dec 2018. Since buying the units they have spent over a year in transit between myself and G4M with no apology or offer of a replacement which I think I should get. I then thought I would ask to pay for extended warranty as the units could develop future faults.
I was told by G4M they will not sell me the extended cover as I didn't take it out within the first 30 days of purchase so wash their hands of me.
To sum it all up G4M great customer service until they get your money then you on your own...
I will never buy another thing from you guys so your loss, it's not the economy that put companies out of business it's the crap customer service you offer.
Awful returns policy and trying to receive a refund is a nightmare!
After one month the item developed a fault. After a month with Gear4Music they try and repair it, if that fails the manufacturer repairs it, failing that a new replacement is sent out. A normal operating shop would replace your product with in the year. I returned my product to Gear4music and they had my product for nearly three months! Its taken them 3 months to say yes it's faulty and still trying to get a refund! Their staff are not competent at processing refunds. I had two different staff processing my refund but never did I receive. All you get sent in responce is "I don't know who you spoke to, sorry". Never again am I shopping here!

I have waited 10 days. My order has still not been processed. It was a big mistake to order from gear4music. They refuse to answer my e-mails or answer the phone. Please don't make the same mistake. Avoid these scammers.
I purchased a footswitch for a laney amp and despite contacting these twice and being fed crap about slow post etc due to covid i still have not gotten the item, bought stuff from china and japan and got those weeks ago. Contacted these again last week and they have not even bothered to reply this time. So avoid like the plague..
I purchased a Takamine Guitar for £1099. 00 in October 21. The case it arrived in was damaged so I returned it for a replacement. (Just to add, it wasn't damaged in transit, the box it arrived in was intact, it must have slipped through their ‘quality check'). It's now the 20th January 22 and I still have no case. It's like banging my head against a brick wall. I've been told that they don't have any in stock and they have no idea when they will, yet I've looked on their website and the exact same guitar is in stock. Absolutely appallingly customer service. I'm going to have to raise a section 75 with my credit card provider. Steer clear of this website.
I've ordered with this company so far twice, I'm in New York and the products arrived in 2 days. Products were as expected and better priced than in USA even with the international ship cost. DHL sent a text which allowed me to sign for package and leave delivery instructions. Very satisfied
