Boosting ones google ranking with adding empty or completely wrong lyric pages on release day is not the most user-friendly, but probably the most income-generating way to go. Besides that genius has a strong presence with rap and rock music and is probably the most comprehensive lyric website around.
They take your money and then ask for more and you never see your item or money again after looking into it they have been doing this too a lot of people keep right away from this sight the prices are to good to be true because they are. They are also verry rude when you refuse extra payment I ordered a camera and payed and never seen the camera or Money again. Once again stay right away from this sight.
Comprehensive lyrics for more songs than other lyrics websites I've encountered, and they even break down each line in the lyrics to dive into it deeper and explain it!
It was fine until I found out that you can't add an album until you have 300 IQ. But then I thought, hey, it's reasonable. Then, when I am SO CLOSE TO 300 (287 IQ) they restricted me from doing anything. It told me to click a link and read stupid article which I did FIVE TIMES. The only reason I was going so fast was so I could get to 300 IQ
It's great if you want to look up some lyrics, but if you want to add lyrics, find another site.
I am a songwriter and have been using this site for a few years now. When I first used it my impressions were that it was a superior site to others I had been using due to being able to put down credits, song history etc. I write 100% of my lyrics and music but was happy to mention people who had sung, played and produced the tracks. However, what I found is that Genius sends your lyrics to many other sites which is fine but somehow in the process the data is twisted around and becomes incorrect showing someone that sang being credit for writing the song as well etc. I sent feedback including URL's to them many times to correct this but they never responded on one occasion. I had to take the drastic step of removing all credits from the data area but even then I noticed today my song 'Anti-Vaxxer' credits Mark Hocknell as the songwriter when Mark in fact co-produced and played on the track. Imagine how frustrating this is! Despite having submitted lyrics for quite some time now all songs show as being unreviewed. What the hell is going on?

Tip for consumers:
If you are a songwriter and have 100% copyright of your lyrics/music don't fill out any other info on their data fields.
You are better off putting your lyrics elsewhere as people can troll your page and they do nothing about it.
Somehow lost its appeal. Faulty lyrics, only useful for mainstream music and rap. Slowly turning to a product as bad as Musixmatch
