I had my estimate on 9/13/23, did not get in for repairs until 10/31/23 and did not get it back until 12/13/23.
FARMINGTON ARKANSAS "I recently had my car repaired at Gerber Collision, and my experience was disappointing. My car was clean when I dropped it off, but when I picked it up, it was dirty with rain spots and dust, making it difficult to inspect the repair quality. This lack of care seemed to hide several issues: the fender wasn't installed correctly, the hood wasn't center-aligned, and the car pulled to the right due to misaligned steering. Additionally, there was a dent in the hood, which wasn't addressed despite being part of the damage. Afterward, I went to another collision center for a second opinion, and they immediately noticed all the issues I had raised. While the receptionist at Gerber was kind and professional, the repair quality and lack of attention to detail from management were disappointing."Teresa

Good morning! I was in an automobile accident 07/13,2012 Kia Sportage. Insurance Agent, suggested Gerber Collision, S. Palo Verde Rd., Tucson, Az. Body damage and mechanical damage; primarily front driver's side. The vehicle was driveable with a functional air conditioner (no issues). Approx. One week later, Kia was picked up and without issues. The following day, AC stops operating. My wife, Immediately calls Tim Schunk at Gerbers. Tim States " an Electrical Issue" to return Kia and Issue be corrected. In body shop, Tim stated that techs Disconnected compressor. Upon realizing that major compressor issues with AC Compressor exists, excuses from Store Manager, comes about: 1. AC unit not damaged in auto accident 2. Compressor internally exploded 3. Ins. Co, not paying for damaged compressor! 4. Jason E. /Gerber Collision/ Store Manager is the sole organization that physically Unplugged the AC Compressor and has left it unplugged. 5. Gerber Collision had Royal Kia in Tucson, Diagnose AC. Diagnostic states " Compressor exploded internally! 6. Gerber Collision was the only organization. Other than Kia to check AC. How could the AC Compressor have exploded internally? The Gerber techs Unplugged the AC Unit and being in a hurry; forgot to replug and make the electrical connection; causing the compressor to internally explode!
A bunch of Possums and a Monkey could have done a more thorough job!
Gerber was a USAA "approved provider" at the time of my auto accident on 1/13/22. Repair work had to be redone twice - once for bondo work issues (contour lines didn't match the opposite side) and once for paint blemishes. Took months to get the car back and all seemed to be OK until I got an oil change - the 2 front tires had been completely chewed up. When I went back to Gerber, they found nothing wrong. I then went to an alignment shop and the left front ball joint was completely loose (causing the extreme tire wear). In the accident, Gerber repaired the right front side of the suspension - they told me the accident didn't cause the damage to the left front ball joint and I would have to pay for it. Too coincidental especially since I heard a sporadic clunking sound on the left front side in the days and weeks after I picked up my car from Gerber. Fortunately USAA agreed with me instantly and set me up with Caliber Collusion in Riverview, FL. It would appear Gerber has been removed as an approved USAA provider - not surprising to me given the issues I had with Gerber (likely I was not the first and only complainant).
Took my SUV to, Gerber collision to repair stretches on the hood and rear quarter panel on my Cadillac SUV. I was told it would take a week or week and half to get my car back, took over a month to get my car back. After getting my car back, I had to take my car back twice so the technician at Gerber to correct work was completed. First time I took my car back to Gerber "Molding wasn't place and snapped back on correctly". Two months later took my car back to Gerber because my sensor in my bumper fell out my bumper. I took my car to Cadillac Dealership in Sav. Ga to repair, I was told the bracket on my bumper was broke the cost too expensive to repair at Cadillac in Sav. So, I took my car to my local mechanic to repair. I decided to take my car back to Gerber and let them know their technician did not do a good job repairing my car. After talking to their auto claim inspector, initially the person started looking at a stretch on my bumper in order to justified not to do anything for me by saying someone hit my bumper. To sum my visit at Geber, my warranty on the work Gerber did on my car were voided because I had my sensor repaired at another mechanic. USAA use Gerber collision for all their insurance claim mistake on usaa part. Gerber collision repair work not good. Painting clear coat over stretches, broken bumper bracket, molding not replaced correctly just to name a few faults. I'm sure some folks have a good experience with this company. I did not and I could not recommend Gerber here in, Hinesville Ga.

Would even write letter to explain 6 month timeliness for repair. Cost me $5k in loss of use dipute.
Was hit by a lunatic having a road rage tantrum. He was driving over the speed limit and way too close to me.
When I had to slow down because of the flow of morning traffic, instead of ramming into me, he pit maneuvered me and rendered my car out of control. The back panel of my Honda Civic separated from the bumper and the teeth that holds those parts in place were broken off.
It was explained to me what had to be done and then he was going to write up the estimate for the repair work needed. I was expecting just the estimate and then having to bring the car in again for the work to be completed.
The estimater at the time was Tommy Stokes. He told me it would take him about twenty minutes to write it up. When he came back, the work had been done and the estimate handed to me.
Tommy explained a lot of very useful things about the year, make and model of my car and some general things about 2nd extended warranties which I knew nothing about. He suggested I look into one for my Honda since my original would be up in one year and the parts and labor are so expensive on these cars.
Since I expect to be keeping the car for another ten years, I've decided to take his advice and go for the extended/extended warranty.
As a final and very kind gesture he suggested that I use the money (that the insurance company would be reimbursing me) and put it toward the next warranty, because he would not be charging me for the work that had just been done.
I had been told that this facility "rocks" but my own experience bears this out. Not just because I was not charged for the repair, but because I had been treated with respect and like I had a brain, and because I was now armed with a heck of a lot of new knowledge that would serve me well in the future.
So grateful!
Had a accident on Nov 26th 2022 i was 750 miles away from avondale on my to visit my daughter called Avondale gerber collision they said they could get me a estimate with in a week so had a friend come get truck and me towed it to them now when i got it to them they informed me they would update me on Tuesday and Thursday but i had to call them only once did they called me three weeks after being there they told me they had all parts in but 1 then the next week GM totd me it would be in paint booth by end of week then hour later got call from estimater and told me different story told him what gm had told me and he said that wasnt happening then after stopping in after Christmas he informed me they had shutter they where waiting for but know they where waiting for bumber parts then on friday the 30th gm called said truck body work was done 2pm said he was going to get tow truck to send to dealer to have engine checked due it over heated and i did inform him dealer was open sat and monday and he said he didnt know if he could get it towed still 3hrs before they closed and that he would call me back to let me know if he was able to get it towed but like all the other times no return call. So bottom line communication is not there stong point. Any questions Jesse *******012
