Their tours are too overpriced with a very poor quality.
They charged me USD 650 for 1 night trip to safari and the quality was extremely poor. Many things were excluded like the entrance fees (which cost me additional USD 70 and lunch). When they sent voucher to my mail they mention to bring suncream and sunglasses instead of informing about extra payments that I will face during the trip. The van was dirty and broken. We waisted 2 hours on the road to repair their car. So what for I paid USD 650?
The real price of the accomodation with full board was around USD 130, transportation cost was around USD 150. The rest was their profit. They made 3 times margin on me.
I was always buying their tours while travelling because it was very convenient. Usually all the entrance fees are included so I don't need to pay any additional fees. This time I paid this big amount for nothing and they excluded too many things. When I spoke to their customer service regarding this issues, the answer was- if you don't like you are free not to use our services. I consider it extremely rude.
My trip was ruined and I was highly disappointed in the quality. Will try to avoid their website and tell all my friends to do the same. My advice: go directly with the activity providers and don't use GetYourGuide

It was my first time using this service and I am glad I did. It was nice to have mulitple things on one site so you didn't have to look down the rabbit hole. I liked that they did have a cancellation policy because I wasn't sure one of my party was going to make it (they didn't) and cancelling was relatively easy (took a couple of calls). There was only one problem and that they was a miscommunication on one of my bookings in which there was a 1.5 hour lag time between the swim with manatees and the airboat tour and when I got the location and they explained the tour times I immediately informed them that I was unable to do that due to another engagement. The business, thank goodness was accommodating. I do feel getyourguide needs to be more informative about things like this. I would definitely use them again though!

Amazing afternoon! We went dolphins seeing and found 3 fin whales on our way which were absolutely amazing! And the crew was very nice, very friendly and speak many languages. I highly recommend!

New Orleans Food Tour

We did a walking Food Tour around the French Market with stops to sample five different food items.
So much food! Angela was our tour guide and she was delightful. Enjoyed every calorie!

CRIMINALS AND CROOKS--STAY AWAY!

The WORST company to deal with EVER. I purchased a hop on hop off ticket at 6 am to start THE FOLLOWING DAY. I was instructed I had to go pick up the voucher across the Potomac river, and had to pay almost the cost of the stupid ticket to to get over there via UBER. Once I got there, the bus company said there WAS NO VOUCHER and I would have to COME BACK THE DAY I WANTED TO USE THE TICKET! I went back to the hotel and IMMEDIATELY called "Get your guide" who said it was less than 24 hours before the event was to start so they would need approval. I PURCHASED THE ITEM AT 6 AM FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY. I CALLED TO CANCEL THE MINUTE I FOUND OUT THEY HAD GIVEN ME INCORRECT INFO. I received an email saying they would get back to me within 2 days with the status and THEY NEVER REVERSED THE CHARGE AND NEVER GOT BACK TO ME WITH ANY CORRESPONDENCE. I will NEVER use this shoddy company again no matter what state I am in. THEY ARE AWFUL. I had to dispute my credit card.

I used GYG for all the trips I wanted in 4 different cruise ports, not only did I save a large amount of money, compared to the ships excursion costs, I had the freedom to go where and when I wanted, the cancel upto 24hrs before the trip, helped me make the decision to use GYG, as sometimes on ships the port can be cancelled for bad weather, I would highly recommend, and I did to some new friends from USA, they were also very impressed

Booked a boat tour advertised as having "hotel pickup and drop-off" right in the title in Santorini. At the last second, the tour operator emailed me telling me to meet them at the old port. I replied to their email but they did not respond. I opened their link on Google Maps and drove there. When I got to the location where they sent me, I found out that the old port was half an hour away by cable car and walk. By then, it was too late for me to make it in time, so I used someone else's phone to call the office where I was supposed to meet them. The lady who answered informed me that there was no boat at that time anyway, took my confirmation number, and told them she'd have the tour operator contact me. I never heard from them. I then asked GetYourGuide for a refund since the title of the tour was a complete lie, plus the tour operator never answered my email and didn't explain where to meet or how to get there, plus it sounded like the boat tour never happened anyway. Their response was that my cancellation request was outside the cancellation period, lol! And of course they wouldn't be offering a refund. They just ignored every single fact about this situation. Very scammy site with sketchy "customer service." From now on I will only be booking tours through hotels and will certainly never use GetYourGuide again.

Horrific experience with Get Your Guide, GoGoDay travel and C trip, Japan. We booked a Get Your Guide day trip from Osaka on our recent trip to Japan. April 10 2023. Get Your Guide assigned us to their supplier GoGoDay travel who assigned us to a third party called C trip.
The day started with wet seats in the bus on a cold day and our tour guide had no briefing for the tour of the day.
When asked after almost an hour what we are doing for the day, can you explain to us more about the history of the places we are visiting today - the guide was unable to even pronounce those names correctly.
We paid extra for a guided tour in English and it turns out 'Peter' our guide was not well versed in either English or Japanese. He was struggling to communicate with us and had no idea about any information on the places we were going to visit.
He constantly kept checking with the driver what, when, where types of information. After wasting half of our day, he took us to a train station in Arashiyama where the tickets were sold out for the day. He got another group with him, excluding us, who already had booked tickets in advance for the same. We were not told about it in the morning when we started otherwise we would have booked online or figured out an alternative.
Then the driver, the useless guide and the rest of their group leaves us at the train station to use our time at our own efforts. We were so done with them after wasting most of the time of our day that we just walked out and managed the last few hours on our own.
When we complained about the whole episode to Get Your Guide, they refunded just a petty amount out of the huge chunk of the money we paid for 3 people.
It was a huge disappointment to rely on Get Your Guide on a foreign land, it wasted our 1 whole day, we had to manage without a guide, excursions and second half transport with a child. The least we expected from Get Your Guide was a full refund.
I will never book any tours from them, neither will I suggest anyone to use their services. They are not reliable. GoGoDay and C trip Japan sucks with foreign travellers other than their own nationals.

The worst experience
February 17, 2024

It was my worst service experience in Mexico during my month of stay.

I bought a tour trip to Puebla (Mexico) on this service, but on the day of the group meeting, I was 10 minutes late. When I realized this, I informed the company, warned them about it, and asked them to wait.

They refused.

But I arrived anyway, there was no one there.

The company offered to reschedule the trip to the next day, paying an additional 20 dollars in fine. I asked the GetYourGuide intermediary if it was possible to make a refund in this case. They answered yes.

But the next day, I decided to pay the fine and go on an excursion because it was my last day in Mexico, and I wanted to see this city. I wrote to them about this and came to the time and place of the meeting. But the tour operator replied that I had to pay a new amount because the latter had begun returning funds for the failed trip.

I paid.

When I wrote about this to GetYourGuide, they said they would keep the funds.

The trip itself was transportation from point A to point B. Moreover, we spent only 2 hours in the city, which is not enough for such a place.
The guide spoke very little English, although the description indicated that the tour was in English.

So, I paid twice (over $100) for the bus service. Therefore, I recommend traveling from the bus station for ten times cheaper. And without the unpleasant aftertaste of lousy service.

Did not do the right or good thing

We booked a Segway tour for our first day in Zurich. We were interested in doing a family tour, and this one came up on our search. We printed our ticket in the states before arriving. On our ticket at the very top in clear print, it was stated ages 0-99. When we arrived at our tour, our tour guide indicated our 10 and 14 year old sons would not be able to go. We had to forfeit our tour, and $700+. Our kind tour guide said he would only charge a small fee and would contact the company to let them know about the confusion, especially our ticket with the wrong age range for the activity. Also, in the booking process, I was never asked to enter age ranges. However, I'm fine print, after clicking on two links, the website does in fact say you have to be 16. I kindly asked the complaint to consider refunding part of our $700 +. After reviewing our case, they have decided to keep all of our money for a tour we were unable to do. So disappointing and a sour start to our trip. I will never book with this company again.

Rome visit

I purchased tickets in advance for the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel before our trip to Rome. I did not compare prices with others, but used GetYourGuide on the advice of someone who had traveled to Rome a few months prior to us. The recommendation was specifically due to the visibility and ease of GetYourGuide at the Vatican Museum. The skip the line tickets for the Vatican Museum are a MUST. Overall I did not have any issues with GetYourGuide and the app was very easy to use. I will definitely use GetYourGuide in the future.

I booked the tour "From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour" and mentioned that my preferred pickup time was 9:00. It was mentioned in the tour description that the "pickup time may change (possible start of the tour between 6:00 AM and 1:30 PM)". I could cancel the tour 24 hours before the start time, so my expectation was that I would receive the confirmation some hours beyond the 24-hour period.

However, at 8:19, on August 15, I received a message from Cracow Local Tours, stating that the time was 6:25. I replied that, due to logistical constraints, I could not attend at that hour and asked for alternatives.

Since there was no flexibility to accommodate my request, I contacted Get Your Guide for support. They called the provider, but later told me that no one answered. I was also denied a refund.

This was a horrible customer service experience and a demonstration of two companies acting in bad faith, without any empathy or professionalism. I will never be their customer and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.
