THE YOUNG LADY AT THE TICKET COUNTER FOR BLUE AND GOLD TOURS TOLD ME THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. STAY AWAY FROM THEM! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ON THE FERRY.
We booked 2 tours through Get Your Guide - a Versailles guided walking tour (1.5 hours) and a Louvre guided walking tour (3 hours).
Both tours were outstanding. The booking/payment process was clear and easy, the meeting point was easy to find, the punctuality was excellent, and best of all, both our guides were thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and at the same time kept it light and enjoyable as well.
Our guide for the Louvre was Maxim - he was absolutely fantastic. He had very deep knowledge about the museum and its key exhibits. He probably just told us just a fraction of what he knew (he had clearly studied his material very, very deeply), and it was just the right balance between depth and breadth.
Our guide for Versailles (unfortunately I forgot his name) gave us the whole history and back story of the palace. It was a complete eye-opener and revealed an aspect of the French royal house that was completely new to me.
Get Your Guide is an aggregator, but they seem to have curated their offerings well, and partnered with some really good agencies. I would definitely use them again.
I have used the services of Get your Guide for a number of times. They are full of nice words but when a problem arises they leave you with unanswered emails. I won't use their services any more.
I booked my tour at 2:45pm and I arrived at 2:45pm. They canceled my tour and charged me extra $100. I requested a refund and they denied and say I'm late. How could I late? They admitted that I arrived on time but they said I should have arrived at 15mins because the voucher said that I should arrive 15mins early and said that I was supposed to be there at 2:30pm? Why 2:30pm? I reserved at 2:45pm not 2:30pm! How could I late when I booked at 2:45pm and arrived at 2:45pm? They scammed me and wanted to take my money without doing the tour. I will give negative star. They even challenged or dared me to post review (can't believe). They also blocked the review function on their facebook and website. SCAM!

My first tour was cancelled for the day so I was very excited to be able to find another boat tour that was going out that day. Because of the strong wings, many tours had cancelled for the day. I called the tour operator about 3-4 times before the trip with no answer to confirm they were still going out on the boat. I got there 45 min early and could not find the boat. I walked around for maybe a mile back and forth asking strangers for help/directions to the address I was given (even though the taxi has dropped me off at the address that was given). I called and left a voicemail for the tour operator but nobody returned my call. I messaged get your guide a few hours later to get my money back, I was only given an explanation about their 24 hour cancel policy that didn't even apply to me. I was not trying to cancel. I genuinely wanted to go but could not find it and the tour operator could not return my call and get your guide showed no sympathy. I paid 180 euros for this so I am very unhappy and will continue to try to get my money back.

AVOID OR RISK A RUINED VACATION. Get your guide sent us the wrong information which caused us to miss our tour entirely. We went to Cairns specifically to visit the great barrier reef and were unable to do so because of getyourguides lazy service. They sent us the wrong time of the tour, listed 6 times in the confirmation email, and did nothing to resolve it afterward.

We took the walking tour of downtown Chicago and learned so much. The guide was excellent and really knew the history of the city. Highly recommended.

I've used this app since moving to Berlin and it's been brilliant. Been here 3 weeks and booked 2 boat trips and a cycling tour and I'm considering booking more.
We bought tickets at GetYourGuide to visit the Cathedral and the Alcazar at Seville. Just a few minutes after buying the tickets they contacted us saying that the ticket for the Cathedral was not available, and that we could go an hour later. So far, so good, but it looks curious that they sell you a ticket that a few minutes after the purchase is not available. When the day came, we visited the Cathedral, and everything ok. But, just one day before the visit to the Alcazar, we opened the GetYourGuide app to have the tickets prepared, and we saw that they had been cancelled, without any notice from GetYourGuide. We contacted with them via app chat, and they said that the ticket were not cancelled, and the provider just needed information on where we were coming from. We were not convinced by the answer, and we contacted again via e-mail, and this time they said that the tickets were cancelled. So, we couldn't visit the Alcazar, which is one of the musts in Seville, and thanks to checking the app the day before, we were able to change our plans. It seems the sell tickets they don't know if they are going to be available, and you can have nasty surprises. Definitely not trustworthy.

As a supplier I found the support to apathetic and incompetent. 25% commission for doing nothing and offering no support when needed. My veteran owned and operated company was treated so poorly I left after only 3 weeks with no booking because they flat out refused to change the area of where my product was listed (in this case in the middle of the desert rather than, Things to do in Las Vegas as it should have been) This was not a issue for 5 my competitors who list on the same site as they were all listed in the correct category. When i requested the same I would have had more luck getting blood from a stone. 30 emails with nothing but lies and generic responses from customer agents who just don't care. (mario and damjan) who did absolutely nothing despite lying to me and saying it would be changed. If you are a customer or a supplier i would recommend using tripadvisor or Viator. I put this company on a level par with Groupon when it comes to supplier & customer support which is to say zero out of ten. BEWARE THIS SCAM! I bought my 8 hour day tour for the Auschwitz-Birkenau and Schindler's Factory Tour, and came from Canada for this. I waited with another family, and NO ONE SHOWED UP. We called and were told "all we can do is cancel your booking and refund you". I then later called the office when they were open, and they tell me they didn't even buy the tickets for the tours that we paid for (I paid for mine over 1 month in advance), then they hung up on me! SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND FRUSTRATION!
Our guides gave us lots of new information about the sights. The tours were interesting and packed a lot into a short time. Sorry still traveling and don't have a lot of access to add photo.
Beware if you are using them on tours from a Cruise ship. Our ship was delayed 30 min in the Athens harbor. We were on a small group tour with 10 people in our group. We called immediately that we were 30 min behind schedule and told the guide would not wait since there were 4 others in the group. We were told to go in the Acropolis and "look for her". There are approx 15-20 thousand people in there that day...there was NO way to look for her. We never found the guide. We were told that we were only entitled to a refund if we cancelled 24 hrs ahead...of course that is impossible when you don't know you will be 30 min late! DO NOT USE THEM IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOU WILL BE LATE OR NEED TO CHANGE THE PLAN. They also allow the individual vendor to dictate the cancellation policy rather than a company policy that vendors need to adhere.
We have used get your guide in the past with great success. This time we had a horrible experience. We purchased a 7 day go city pass through get your guide and booked tours at Fenway Park through them. We never received our voucher for the go city pass and had to contact get your guide to get it resolved. In the process of trying to get the missing vouchers, we ended up getting charged for 2 1 day go city passes that we did not need nor requested. We were told by get your guide. That 1 tough luck it is not our issue 2 you should not have booked Fenway Park tour through them even though it is on their site. We also ended up with an extra reservation for Fenway Park that we had to pay for even though we already had a reservation for 2 already. We never have problems like this with Viator. They always provide needed vouchers and have excellent customer service. Get your guide customer support is horrible and is of little or no help when you need it. Will think hard before using them ever again. I would suggest looking for somebody like Viator to book your tours.
Used Get Your Guide to purchase a 7 days GO CITY inclusive city pass for
Boston. Never got email with barcode to be able to use the City View trolley. Had to call help center to get voucher/barcode after being denied tour. This caused us to be late to our Fenway Park Tour. Called to explain situation and they felt it was totally our problem.
Their lack of electronic communication created a monetary loss of 50.00 to us. Disappointed in their customer service and process in general.
Myself and my partner booked a coach transfer when we visited Italy (Milan). The coach driver scanned out tickets and confirmed that this was the coach needed to our airport. After an 1 hour we realised that we was on the wrong coach and when we tried to explain this we was shouted out and told to find our way back. We was an an hour and a half away from our original airport so we got an uber (which costed a fortune) hoping to get there in time. However we didn't. We missed out flight and had to stay two extra days as the next available flight wasn't leaving until the day after which cost us more money plus buying another plane fare.
When we returned and I made a complaint asking for compensation for all the money spent due to being mislead by the coach people all they did was refund us £11. I will be looking to take this further as this was and is totally unacceptable. I'd advise not to travel with them if you want the security of getting to the right airport and not over spending unnecessarily like we did
I have been wanting to go to Aulschwitz for years, my girlfriend booked the tour tickets before booking the flights so we could be sure we would have no problems The evening before the tour we get an email saying " because of political problems " the tour was cancelled and we would be refunded. There were NO political problems anywhere in Poland. We could not even book another guided tour because we were informed too late.
We decided instead while we were here to go to the Salt mine, we had the tour booked for,10.00 in the morning. We received an email at 8.45 telling us that that tour was also cancelled until 13.10 because of overbooking, we had already made plans for the afternoon which we then had to try and cancel.
Absolutely disgusting way to treat people who have worked hard to save money for this trip and all you get offered back is the tour money! What about my flight and hotel money which I now have to pay again to come and see what I had already paid for...

Ive used this company many times without a problem until now.I was I Japan fancied a tour to Mount Fuji booked all good to go.first time in Japan so knew I would need to used maps to get me around used link on app to find meeting point let out in enough time spent 45 mins to find this place.i'm usually pretty good at finding places maps wasn't working got to asking every man and his dog for assistance my phone was for data only so got a member of the public to ring tour operator.got through they we about as helpful as a chocolate spoon beyond useless I didn't understand what I was saying just saying get a taxi which wasn't a problem but made no sense when I asked a taxi driver where I needed to go.asked a police officer same response 15 mins gone got to use some one else's phone tour again told I missed it said I can do another day if I wish told them that was my last day so no good.told them I would speak to get your guide as this was totally un expectable thinking they would sort this out how wrong I was.in summary if they send you the wrong way tough luck no refund, no credit no customer service empathy what so ever.i used them a lot in dubia so you would think as a discretion they would offer you something to keep your custom and have some understanding.Their response is not on a personal level what so ever no trying to help the situation what so ever so this reason I would never use or advise using this company ever again.
