They transferred me 3 times then hung up on me, without talking to an individual. I had the most bsic question and no one was able to answer it. How to redeem an ecard. Unreal. Do not buy from this company they are a fraud!

I placed an order with GiftCards.com. As part of the process I entered what I thought was an excessive amount of information to place the order at least compared to most online sites I use. They next day I received an order cancellation notice from them for some unspecified reason other than some data didn't match like how I spell my address versus how my bank does. However the information was apparently good enough to place a pending charge against my account which will be corrected in 3 days.

Tried to purchase a basic $25 visa gift card to deliver via email. Used the same credit card I use everywhere and, after a few hours, my order was cancelled. Supposedly, something about the order triggered their fraud detection process however they won't actually give any info on why something was denied.

So - that effectively means that they don't want me to order anything from them. Odd customer service - especially when I used that same credit card, both online and in a store, later that day without any issue.

Tip for consumers:
Can't rate the value, shipping, or quality when they don't actually want to complete the sale.

Very bad, arrogant, and easily irritated customer service.

They made mistakes and I tried to work with them to get things right.
However, they just spent time arguing, rather than getting things corrected.

After feeling their ego hurt, they simply cancelled my order.

I live out of the country and my sweet mother in-law tried to get me a virtual gift card. Unfortunately, it only works if you are on VPN. Then, after I have already spent almost an hour of my life trying to get any of the 4 links to work, I filled out my info and hit submit. NOTHING happens. It just kept replaying the same little gift video over and over. Super frustrating and a total scam. I have no idea if anyone will respond to my email asking for assistance. I would not have even gave it any stars. Total crap.

Laughable if not so frustrating. Acted in good faith - placed order - got confirmation. 1 week goes by. Two weeks go by. Now past the outside deadline, NO CARDS. Buyer Beware!
Just STAY AWAY and save yourself the time, energy, hassle, and frustration of attempting to conduct business with such a seriously flawed, substandard company and staff.

I received a virtual gift card and read through some of the conditions of use. If not used within a period of time they accumulate fees. They can't be reloaded which probably means you can't buy something then return it for credit. I've found the easiest way to use these cards is to log into Amazon and apply them to my Amazon account. There they stay safe and secure until used.

I was recently scammed by giftcards.com to get my personal info. They sold a friend of mine a gift card for $100 and it's brand new, but non-redeemable. I've filed a report with the FTC as a result and contacted giftcards.com. I just hope my friend can get a refund on the card somehow. You can't call Giftcards.com for one, so you can't actually talk to a real person, just lots of FAQ's and wizardry. Just can't understand why anyone would want to buy a gift card through a third party like this where they charge you $5 per month on the card that you don't use it. Just get a Visa gift card through Visa.com, it makes no sense to do it this way.

Placed 2 orders in last 30 days at Giftcards.com, and both were cancelled for no reason. It seems, like many other fake sites, Gifcards.com is in the business of collecting customers' personal and credit card data, and it has no intention of doing any order fulfilment. A total scam. Now, my credit card data is sitting at a random location to be hacked or misused!

Tip for consumers:
I would rather buy a gift card from a store.

Took money from bank account instantly then never sent gift cards. No customer service no replies had my wife in tears. These are sick people who pray upon people who may not be physically healthy and able to shop in stores. Worst experience in my life!

These people make no attempt to process your order expeditiously. They will take two days to process, so if you pay for two or one day delivery, it's a gross waste of your money as it can take up to five days for the gift card to be delivered. Find someone else to do business wit--it's not that hard to do.

I have given it a one star rating only because this site doesn't seem to take no stars.

We do everything we can to present all relevant information in both the ordering process and included with the card upon shipping. At the time an order is placed, information is presented that specifically indicates "please allow 1-3 business days for processing for all shipping methods". In addition, we offer 7 different shipping options from USPS 1st Class all the way to FedEx Overnight. Each shipping method offers an explanation as to how long delivery will actually take. Please remember, these are not "off the rack" gift cards. These are customized and personalized per your instructions and must be individually created. I appreciate the opportunity to clarify your concerns.

They charged $4.95 a month for the gift card. I got my husband a gift card for his birthday with our wedding photo on it. He tried redeeming it earlier this year and it turns out the $100 became $25 after the fees being deducted for not using it. WHY would the company needs to deduct $4.95 a month? They got paid for the fees at purchase and shipping as well, not let the gift be whole. Working with Consumer Affairs to get attention on this. This is a similar tactic to what Groupon got dragged into lawsuits for. Looking forward to a favorable response in getting Giftcards.com off the market!

Ordered a gift card 9/5/16 and still waiting for my friend to receive it. Now 9/22/16. Could have crawled to Bed, Bath, Beyond faster and had the card delivered sooner. Save your money and find another option.

I'm not impressed by the customer service AT ALL and will never use GiftCards.com again. The gift card I ordered for my dad for Father's Day was shipped to the incorrect address, I received no notice that it shipped, and all the customer service agent could say is that I should have opted for the mail tracking option. Really?! She went on to say that she understood that the tracking was more expensive but this is what happens... first, I assure you it was not the extra charge that I was concerned with; second, I ordered two weeks early so didn't feel that I need to expedite shipping. Also, I received the "processing" email which clearly states that an email will be sent when the card is shipped, I received nothing. To this the customer service lady said "yeah its an automated system and it doesn't work very well"... again, really?! Anyway, I have put in a dispute with my credit card company and they mentioned they have had issues with this company before - go figure. Buyer beware!

I sold gift.cards.com 3 brand new gift cards purchased at the same time. They only compensated me for 2 of the cards saying there was a "problem" with the third card. Of course, I have never been able to reach them again. I have tried to call, email customer service, etc. Nothing. They told me they would be in touch and were not. Clearly, they think compensating someone for a portion of their cards shows they are legit, but they are not. Do not trust them!

Ordered a gift card for a graduation gift 10 days ago. I received an email that the order is being processed in about an hour. No email since. Called what I thought was their customer support line for a status. I was told that it should have been received yesterday and their customer support team will need to look into it but they have already left for the day. I asked what time do they leave and was told 4:00 pm CST. It was 4:01 pm when I finally got a person on the line after waiting 15 minutes with the music playing. I asked why didn't I receive a ship notification and was told that sometimes their system does that. Seriously? Are these professionals? Is this a legitimate business? They sure charged my credit card in a hurry. I will try one more time to reach their so called customer support tomorrow and if not resolved, this will be charged back through my credit card company.

I've been trying several times to order 4 gift cards but my order keeps on being cancelled. (I'm using a card that is working and all information is correct). I called up giftcard.com directly but they can't help. I guess I'll just have to skip and I'm not planning on purchasing from them anytime soon or to refer them to friends and family.

UPDATED. Be aware that GiftCards.com does charge dormancy fees even before the expiration date if the card is not used. I was not aware of this and my card's entire balance was consumed because of these fees. However, they kindly reversed them and restored the card's full value.

Be sure to read the card agreement and be aware of dormancy fees.

Giftcards.com has a policy that if isn't, should be illegal. I'll be contacting my attorney general to get more information.

I was given a $100 gift card in 2021. I used it a few times but had over $25 left on the card. Per their policy, on the first day of the 13th month of non-use they will begin taking $4.95

Finding it again and prepared to use it I discovered they charged me over $25 the last few months.

This is theft and should be illegal.

I sold my gift-cards and I've called Customer Service multiple times and each time they keep telling me my "order/check" has been "delayed" and should arrive within the next 10 business days. After those 10 BUSINESS days pass, I call back again only to find out it's been delayed even more? It's been almost 2 months now and I've yet to receive my check and no tracking as well. I put tracking on it when i sent it, the least they could do is return the favor. This is annoying. Just give me my money already or my cards back.

Through some bogus backdoor "Internal Security" excuse, my order for a gift card for my son's birthday was cancelled. They could only provide a "chat" response, and could not tell me the reason for the cancellation for "proprietary" reasons. They told me they would "escalate" my "concern" to a higher level, but my son's birthday is today, and I wanted a response today. However, this was not enough to speed up the response. I am looking for another vendor immediately, and will never use this site again.

I used this company a few times and never had an issue now they charge me but there's no card. I submitted the payment and it said sorry your card isn't going through so I check my bank and they charge me! So I ask customer service and continue to tell me they need my email address in order to verify my order even though I'm telling them there's no order but they don't understand so I lost $60 nice!

The concept is great but the delivery is awful. They are very unclear about a lot of things, and they hide important information in their FAQ's and other places so you have to dig to understand how they operate. Customer service is quick, but not helpful at all. I won't be using this site in the future and I definitely don't recommend you do either.

Received a card from my company as an incentive award. DIdn't use it right away, card has expiration date of 12/21 stamped on card. Go to activate it and all funds were removed as Service Fee Monthly after a couple months. What a joke!

If I could rate it lower than one star I would. They don't deserve it. Never got the card I ordered. Customer services was a total joke. I needed the card badly for a special birthday. Now I don't have it. Never again. Please heed this warning. They are awful! Worse than awful and should not be in business!

Don’t! They may be fraud or scammers. I’m not even sure that they have the cards to sell.

SCAM Company with EXCESSIVE FEES, despite advising the card is good for X number of years, it really isnt because after 1 year Giftcards.com starts charging "Dormany Fees" which will quickly depete your card. BUY BEWARE!

I tried to contact them about these scam fees and their customer service is NON-EXISTENT!
