I designed and ordered a pair of Girotti shoes. The website is awesome, very easy to use, and what a fun idea to get to create your own shoes! My order arrived to Canada sooner than expected. The shoes looked beautiful, very well made, no defects, exactly as expected, but they did not fit right on my feet. I asked for a return and remake with a changed model and size and got it approved. My new pair came to Canada in a month time, and they are gorgeous and they fit perfectly. The support person also asked that I donate the first pair to charity rather than return it. I am very happy with my shoes and with the level of service! I will definitely buy more shoes from the one and only Girotti.

Purchased a pair of boots which took over two months to arrive. Received them yesterday and they are the cheapest boots I ever own. Paid over $400.00 Canadian for a pair of boots that are worth maybe $100.00. My bad for not doing my research prior to ordering. This is why I am doing this review so others can learn rom my mistakes. SCAM SCAM SCAM Stay far away from this company. That is all I have to say...

I ordered shoes with a matching purse at the end of April and paid for express shipping. The shoes arrived late in mid March and to date I have not received the purse. That's the first issue. Second I contacted customer service bc the shoes were too tight and the left side of the left shoe was too wide and to find out about the purse. I received no response for
Weeks! I finally got a email response asking for pictures after I called threatening to go to social media. Finally after calling again I got another email saying it wasn't a manufacture error. How that's how they came to me!? Finally after calling again they offered an exchange mid April. I responded and once again I've gotten no response! That's the second issue! The purse I ordered has still not arrived! They said they were issuing a refund and of course they still have not! That's the third issue! If zero stars were an option that is exactly what they would have received. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Hello,

I discovered girotti shoes while searching for good Italian shoes. I placed my first two orders immediately and paid about €600 for or both.

The one is a handbag and the other was a pair of short boots that didn't fit
When I received the boots I was disappointed because they didn't look like Italian boots, as I knew before the sole was plastic and not leather they looked more like Chinese made boots
As the size was wrong I tried repeatedly to come in contact with the professional team of your company with no success
For €600 nobody would provide me with a free label return which I find very unprofessional, amateuistic and cheap.

My handbag is still under construction from the 6th of April and nobody has contacted me to notify me of the date that I will receive it.
All these make me think that there is no professional background behind the firm and I am a professional for 30 years now.

I can easily share this with Google as a comment
I believe that companies that promise to do things should do them.

I purchased a pair of their shoes in February. The shoes were poorly made / defective. Tried to return but they don't stand by any of their return policies. Went back and forth for a month, they don't answer their customer service phone and give you the run around. Tried to get pay pay to assist but pay pay won't refund unless you return to Italy such costs $112.00 USPS and $275.00 DHL. Another foreign company scam screwing American citizens out of their money. Do NOT purchase from this shoe company! Poorly made shoes, cheap looking and DEFECTIVE. Their return policy is a blatant lie. RUN from this company or be out of a good chunk of change.

Do not purchase from this shoe company. They are a scam - they do not stand by their web site customer service mission. Purchased shoes ma from them, the shoe was defective, poorly made. Tried to return - Two weeks of back and forth, still trying to get a refund and return, opened case through pay pal. BEWARE! Poor quality product, horrible, deceitful business practices.

Finally the shoes after a long wait. They were not at all as pictured, plus were too small - not the size they were supposed to be.
Tried contacting Girotti repeatedly - no reply. I'm giving up and tossing the shoes in the donations pile. $200+ and all the time and frustration make for an expensive lesson to learn. Luckily, you can learn from my experience and save your money.

I ordered my shoes a month ago. Pretty promptly got an email that the shoes were being shipped. After that, nothing. No shoes, no communication. Tracking number shows error. The phone goes to voice mail and calls are not returned. Emails are answered by the same standard form email they sent me three weeks ago, ignoring my requests and questions. At this point I'm pretty sure my shoes are either lost or were never shipped in the first place. I wish I had checked their reviews before giving them my money. The whole thing appears to be a sham.

SCAM! I've ordered shoes from them. THEY'VE NEVER CAME! You can't contact them. Customer Service is a JOKE! I only gave them one star, because I couldn't give them ZERO STARS. I'm out of $200+ Dollars! I received an email share after purchasing the shoes…. Since then I've received one computer generated response. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER ANSWERS! Verspätet und erst nach massiver Androhung von gerichtlichen Schritten. Die Verarbeitung der gelieferten Schuhe entspricht keineswegs dem verlangten Preis:
Billige Plastiksohle, unterschiedliche Schuhgrößen links und rechts bei einem Paar, bei einem anderem Paar leicht unterschiedliche Absatzhöhe. Keine Antwort auf Ersuchen um Zusendung eines Rücksendescheins. SO geht das nicht!

Totally agree! Awful service. Only wanted to confirm the colour of the shoes as they are for my daughter's wedding. Nothing. I emailed, tried the 'hotline' that didn't respond, etc. Husband lawyer and also best friend criminal defence looked at this --- awful. Copied lawyer in and they suddenly produced emails that basically did not make sense. My credit card company gives 15 days, and also lawyer is ready for these guys! Taken my money and not answered simple questions. Haven't even got the product! Italian family. This is shameful.

Girotti is a scam. Beware buyers! Watch out tor their tricky return policy. I tried to cancel the day after I placed an order. What a run around! They had plenty of time to cancel but they took days to answer my email and they NEVER answered the phone. I repeatly tried to cancel as their shipping time was too long and the shoes came after the time I needed them and I was already enroute to the event. So they are sitting out side of my apt for days...and in the rain...if someone hasnt't taken the shoes because they were left unattended. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SELLERS

I wish i could have read review before buying.i wish there is zero star thats wat is worth,ordered a boot and it came after 3months and calf does not fit they said they will remake they will not refund I told them my calf is 16 inches they remake the same size that did not fit when I asked for return label and refund since they don't have my size they said they are not refunding my money that I can buy another shoe so they can give me a discount. This is crazy.so my 235 dollars went into the drain I am stock with a shoe I can not wear.this whole transaction is 6months they had to keep my money nd not giving me what I what. I am looking for a way to see this company is closed they are fraudsters.

Girotti shoes epitomises everything that is wrong from an Italian run production company. False promises, diabolical service and lack od accountability. They charged for express service and after 3 weeks no delivery, when contacted and questioned they refused to accept express was quick delivery. To top it all, they took payment in advance, no shoes have arrived and they refuse a refund.

I ordered a pair of shoes on Nov 19-2023.I had an email back from them on Jan4-2024 after numerous attempts of trying to get through to them. They told me the model of shoe I ordered could not be filled due to lack of materials, they asked me to choose another model of which I did, on Jan 5 and here it is now Feb 2.no shoes and once again no reply from the last email I sent them

I pruchased a pair of sneakers in January that arived three weeks later badly scuffed and a size too small. I've tried several times to contact someone at the company by email and phone. I've even gone so far as to leave a few voice messages. Other than the generic "Your request has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff" I have yet to recieve a real response. Not sure how or if I'll ever recoup my $209 since they're based outside the US but I'll do my darndest to get the word out on every outlet possible about thier shoddy products and service. Again, DO NOT BUY FROM GIROTTI!

Please don't spend your money here. The shoes are of poor quality and their refund policy is nonexistent. They lie, don't pick up your calls and then direct you to some pseudo, fake return policy that is not visible on the website. They email it to you when you question where on the site this information was listed. It's not there when you go to place an order. I hope one person sees this and decide to go with a reputable company. The are truly dishonest. Oh, BTW, the shoes are plastic and made in China, not in Italy, as they state.

This is the worst on line purchase I have ever attempted to make. They misrepresent production time, quality and delivery repeatedly. I am still waiting for a refund 5 months after the shoes arrived 4
Weeks late and appeared to be used. They never answer a phone call, take days to respond to an email and then they don't do anything promised from customer service. I don't ever believe it's a real company anymore. It's so bad it's scary.

Girotti is a fraudulent company and needs to be stopped.

Offered me a refund for shoes that didn't fit. When I asked for the shipping label and refund, ghosted me. Stuck with $200 shoes that don't fit. Requested extra wide but they were narrow. My feet are only slightly wide.
Look good but feel horrible.

In the bad scenario of " Made in China '' you won't find such bad work done as on my sandals. I spent all summer to communicate with the company... One pair sent first was two sizes larger and exchange one is impossible to wear... Sharpening pain and blood on the heels from their stitches...
They will never ever return your money back...
Very bad experience with customer service... I wish i would read reviews before

If zero star was a rating, they would deserve it. Please don't waste your money. The shoes are not made in Italy as they state. It's not real leather, it's plastic, worth about $9.99. They remind me of PayLess shoes, they are of such poor quality. I hope at least one person sees this and opt to buy shoe from Thomas Bird. You'll see the quality and the difference in the craftsmanship. They are made it Italy and certified as so. There are no refunds, even if you cancel 10 seconds after purchasing them. They do this because their product is garbage.

Please do not buy here!
The shoes are not of a quality that is appropriate for the price. The attempt to return is excluded with the statement of customization. Unless you want to have a different size. Poor workmanship or different appearance of the shoe compared to website is not a reason accepted for a return. I was even asked to re-measure my feet and send the pictures of it as proof. Sorry but this is unbelievable behavior from a seller. Never ever again...

I placed an order in August 2021 for a pair of shoes. Nothing special. Nothing custom. Just a size 10. After countless emails requesting help, it is now 2/11/22 and still no shoes. They won't cancel as they say they are custom. My credit card company will cancel. This has been a complete nightmare.

First, they consider ANY order a custom order. That includes purchasing a normal size of a standard model right off of their site. I am not certain what there turn around time is, as after a month they have still not arrived despite being 'on their way' for the last two weeks. The even I had ordered them for has come and gone. They have refused to cancel the order, work with me on price to cover my shoe rental expense, provide any level of real customer service. They said it would be 'illegal' to refund any portion of my order which was a laughable response. Then a week ago they went on sale 25% off which would have easily covered my shoe rental. Whatever the case, I wouldn't engage with this company for any reason. Awful customer care, and I still haven't received the product.
