It does what it says, and I've found it to be very reliable and easy to use. I've used it a number of times, and eventually I paid extra for the service, even though you can use it for free with great results.
I've collected autographs for a long time. I used Biddingscheduler for a long time and something happened that shut them down. I searched and found a few that interested me but decided on Gixen. It was an easy setup and the first couple of bit won for me. I sent $6.00 and have won 5-6 autographs at a single time. I was outbid a few times but as far as Gixen goes they are spot on. Bidding again is painless and has paid off. Personally I'm very satisfied.
Simple to use, reliable, and effective. And it costs nothing! There is an upgraded paid-for service, too - it cost six whole US dollars per year.
Honestly, if you use eBay you should use Gixen - I have been using it for many years, and I happily pay the $6 per year for the enhanced service. Simple, straighforward, effective - It does exactly what it says on the tin.
Excellent free sniping service with very inexpensive and also excellent mirror backup service. It is a service that I have used over many years and on many occasions and I have never encountered any problems.
I've been using Gixen for at least 5 years and it is an excellent tool, It works perfectly and is an inexpensive way to snipe auctions by setting up your auction and let Gixen do the work. Works great for me and I highly recommend it!
Thanks Mario! Tjs45
I have always received excellent service from Gixen. For a very small amount of money you get assurance your bids are in a split second. You make a decesion of what your going to pay and you don' t get caught up in the bidding frenzy and over pay because you just have to have it. Gixen has been super for me.
As another comment states, "Set It and Forget It". I've used that quote many times in recommending Gixen to friends. I've subscribed to Gixen Mirror for about 6 years ($11 for 2 years) now and wouldn't use anything else. Best snipe service for ridiculous cheap. Used Hammer Snipe before that for about 8 years for a more costly sum of $15 for 3 months (if memory serves correctly) and it was far less in capabilities and bid protection (did not have the mirror service). Gixen is also my Go To as my eBay Watchlist. Over the years, I've also set many, many bids through Gixen with numerous overseas eBay auction sites (eBay.de, eBay.uk, etc.). Gixen really is the Best of the Best.
I've been using the Gixen website for eBay Auction sniping for years now and I happily pay the 6 per year for it. It is not the most beautiful user interface but it certainly gets the job done. And it gets the job done much cheaper than any of the competitors that I am aware of.
I was recomended to join Gixen years ago by a friend. It was the best thing I did to get what I wanted with minimum effort. I just put my max bid in and leave the rest to Gixen. Its easy to use and saves you the time of bidding yourself.
I have used Gixen for many years. It is extremely affordable and effective. I can just set it and forget it. With the multiple mirror sites, I have confidence (and history) that IF I lose the bid, it was only because someone bid higher - not because somebody got there first. It is the only sniping program I use. I only wish I could use it on other auction sites.
Gixen is a no-frills eBay sniping service that is free, doesn't require installing any software, and most importantly works very well. If you are sniping on eBay, you should be using Gixen.
I started using Gixen 2 years ago after the eBay sniping software I used before (BayGenie) quit working. BayGenie was good back when it worked and they updated it. When I found Gixen, it seemed almost too good to be true with no per-snipe fees and being free, but it's true!
The VERY inexpensive paid subscription upgrade is totally worth it in my opinion. The key benefit I get from the paid annual subscription is peace of mind, adding a fault-tolerant mirror as a backup. The uninformed might think this isn't necessary, but on the Internet and with cloud and hosting services there can be outages that are entirely out of Gixen's control. The small fee helps guarantee that something like that won't happen when YOUR snipe is on the line.
Gixen is the best sniper I've ever used. Absolutely reliable: I won all the auctions I bid on, if I bid enough money. You don't have to do nothing: simply... wait and It is free: i only pay a little money (6 USD) evey year to get the "mirror" service which is fantastic.
Thank you Gixen
Federica from Italy!
I've been using Gixen for a few years now. It was always reliable and delivered great results for me. I now ALWAYS use it to buy on eBay.
Communications from the site owner are excellent WITHOUT spamming (at most a short, useful summary once a month).
The very low fee I paid (they provide also free tier) is well worth the extra cost and paid itself in spades many times over.
I and several others I know have been using the Gixen eBay auction bidding service for years and have never had any problems with it, especially problems that could even remotely be attributed to security breaches or malware. Yes, it is a small business but that doesn't mean the owner doesn't know what he is doing or that he is careless with his or his client's security. I have found Gixen simple to use, inexpensive as a service, and timely with my eBay auction purchases, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone interested in winning eBay auctions with minimal effort or expense.
I have been a Gixen user for a few years now, and it's helped me win quite a few auctions. I live in Australia and as such a great many auctions of interest are on the other side of the globe (yes flat-earthers, it's a globe) meaning that the majority of these auctions end in the wee hours whilst I am sleeping. Gixen has always worked and help me win. Great work Gixen.
I have been using Gixen for bidding on all my eBay auctions for nearly a year. I find it very easy and convenient to use because it links directly to my eBay user name and the eBay item number. I simply log on to the Gixen site and use the Windows "Cut-and-Paste" operation for entering the eBay item number into the entry form. I then enter my maximum bid and select the "offset time" for the auction. I use these steps for data entry for all the auctions of interest before logoff from the Gixen site. I am some outbid but using Gixen helps me avoid "Bidding wars" and paying too much to win an auction sale.
I used to use bidnip and was very pleased with it but that seems to have gone down(with some of my bids) so I tried Gixen for free and was surprised. I decided to use the pay version as it was so cheap. Excellent value.
Over 5 years ago I switched to Gixen to snipe ebay auctions because of missed bids, high cost and terrible service with BidNip. During those 5 years with hundreds and hundreds of bids Gixen has never missed a bid. I started out with the free version but because of how successful they were I wanted to support their business and signed up for the inexpensive Mirro service. They are closely aligned with ebay and great at communicating any impending changes to the process. I couldn't be more happy with their performance and have never had any kind of computer issues using it on my Windows desktop computer. David M.
I have been an eBay user for well over 10 years: started back in the day when it was almost all auctions, not as many fixed prices and identical items as you get now. I collect ceramics & glass, mostly European, and found auctions in US, UK or Europe finished at very late hours for me, I live in Australia.
When I tried Gixen, I liked it straight away. I used the free version for a couple of years, then decide to purchase Mirror even though I had never had an issue with the free service, but I like to encourage good service and am happy to pay a reasonable sum for what I get.
I use it less now that eBay has fewer auctions, but I am sure I am still getting a benefit for my subscription.
I am a Long-Time user of ebay, (since 2006)., with over 1600 transactions recorded.
More than 70% of those transactions are purchases, and more than 70% of those purchases were made using Gixen to win auctions.
I have used Gixen for more than a decade and have never, I repeat, never been let down or had any reason whatever to complain about any aspect of the service.
I congratulate Mario for his excellent product, and admire him for his dedication to that product.
Absolute minimal cost for a totally reliable service that has saved me thousands over the years. Most auctions I win with Gixen are won on average at 40% less than retail price for the item, and sometimes more than that.
I wouldn't be without it.
Good onya Mario!.
Answer: TOTALLY LEGIT! Been a paid up user for over a decade and never had a single problem.
Answer: It is obvious the reviewer had all the problems that he incorrectly blames on Gixen because he has visited other websites that have put malware/spyware/keyloggers/viruses on his computer. He won't admit that his problems are his own fault so falsely blames GIXEN for his own incompetence.
Answer: I have not needed to reach Customer Service. Their online help is pretty good. Just read.
Answer: It just works. Simple user interface. You can just "set it and forget it". Maybe the best online tool I have ever encountered.
Answer: Nothing at all. Gixen main service is free up to 4 winning snipes a month. Reliability for the free service is 99.5%. If you want higher reliability you can subscribe to Gixen Mirror. In that case your bid is sent twice, from two servers in different regions to minimize chance of failure. Gixen Mirror is inexpensive, around $6 / year, and there are different subscription types that can be seen on the settings page.
Gixen has a rating of 4 stars from 509 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Gixen most frequently mention many years, mirror service and ebay auctions. Gixen ranks 6th among Auction sites.
