I've had a mirror subscription to Gibson for several years and never had a problem with it. Since it has two servers in different parts of the country that work in tandem it never fails to execute a bid
I use Gixen whenever I actually bid on something on eBay.
I give Gixen my max offer and and they enter the bid near the end of the auction. If my offer is high enough Gixen doesn't let me down. If I'm being really serious about an item I sign up for the backup server service so my offer always goes through but the free service is excellent.
I have been using Gixen to bid on Ebay for years. It has never let me down. If you bid on Ebay a sniping program is the way to go with Gixen doing the job perfectly. All I have to do is set my maximum bid and leave the rest to the program.
I have been using Gixen for over 2 years now and it has always been on the ball. The only times I have lost a bid is when I hadn't put a high enough total to win the item.
Have been totally satisfied with this software, it works perfectly and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in this form of bidding.
Sniping lets me decide my maximum price. If the item sells below my maximum then I win it. If the item sells for more than my maximum then that's OK too. End of my ebay stress.
Some people have written that they resent paying gixen.com $7.00 USD for a year's service. In Europe that is the cost of 1½ Big Macs. I think that is a very fair price for a service that works. It has ALWAYS worked for me and I have over 1500 evaluations.
Thanks to you Gixen.
I have been using Gixen for many years. I have always used the mirror service and I have never missed a bid.
That was a real difference from other sniping services that I used before then, where missed bids were a frequent problem.
It works as advertised. It is simple to use and I have been able to win bids using it. Proof for me that it does work.
I highly recommend it. (I don't have any other association with the owner except to have purchased the product and used it successfully).
I have been a Gixen subscriber for a number of years. I have sniped several thousand auctions now with this service and have never had an issue. I have told others about it and they really like this service as well. I highly recommend it!
I've used ebay for many years and started to use another sniper, but this one was poor in features and expensive; so I've looked for another software and found gixen:
Gixen is very easy to use and very cheap (fixed amount per year); you can even use the free version to try it.
It has nice features that allows to create bid groups when you only want to win one item out of several;
The paid version is 100% reliable: you decide how much you are ready to bid and let the service do it for you
Most of the time, you win the auction at a lower price than you would have manually: no bid war!
It's a no brainer!
You don't have anything to install (so no risk of virus);
This snipe has never let me down. Even when for a long time did not have the mirror service. Have used the mirror service for a couple years now. For $6.00 a year it is well worth it, even if you only snipe a couple times a year. It's a great bargain, and helps support the service.
Answer: TOTALLY LEGIT! Been a paid up user for over a decade and never had a single problem.
Answer: It is obvious the reviewer had all the problems that he incorrectly blames on Gixen because he has visited other websites that have put malware/spyware/keyloggers/viruses on his computer. He won't admit that his problems are his own fault so falsely blames GIXEN for his own incompetence.
Answer: I have not needed to reach Customer Service. Their online help is pretty good. Just read.
Answer: It just works. Simple user interface. You can just "set it and forget it". Maybe the best online tool I have ever encountered.
Answer: Nothing at all. Gixen main service is free up to 4 winning snipes a month. Reliability for the free service is 99.5%. If you want higher reliability you can subscribe to Gixen Mirror. In that case your bid is sent twice, from two servers in different regions to minimize chance of failure. Gixen Mirror is inexpensive, around $6 / year, and there are different subscription types that can be seen on the settings page.
Gixen has a rating of 4 stars from 507 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Gixen most frequently mention many years, mirror service and ebay auctions. Gixen ranks 6th among Auction sites.
