I've been with Godaddy since early 2000. I have a hosting account and 7 domains.
There has been issues over the years, some were frustrating but they were always resolved in a way that made me stay with Godaddy, up until now.
Godaddy conducted a hosting migration (voluntarily on their behalf, I did not ask for it), and after finishing their "migration" Jan 14,2022, they completely wrecked my websites, as if they shoveled all the files and threw them in the new hosting, after contacting them they threw the ball in my lap and told me that "My Developer" should do this n that. My websites went down, some with no files or information. I've been contacting them ever since Jan 14 (My websites are still down), I tried fixing what I can from my end, as I do not have a developer and I do not want to hire an expert from Godaddy (no sir!), but every error that needs Godaddy's "touch" will take 72 for them to get back to me, and they do not fix it! And I have to file another ticket for another team to give me the buzzer again!). Four of my domains have been offline now for over a week! And I'm literally living in Goodaddy chat room, explaining my case all over again for every single agent I chat with (some where really nice and resourceful though). I Can't believe this Godaddy "Big Corporate" attitude, they do not care at all about customers, a customer is just a number to them (a number that has a credit card $). They are cornering me to pay them to fix my problem, and I do not want that. I only want them to bring my websites back online and then I am leaving Godaddy for good.

For domain registration services, Godaddy is the best option and for other services like hosting, it's not bad.
I am using godaddy since I was 18 and I found its a best domain registrar I got so far. 100% recommended.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. They terminated my Merchant account for a reason they cannot give
And their support team basically can't solve anything.
The worst server and hosting provider. Bypass this provider.
The agent tells you one thing and billing team another. Wouldn't buy from them again don't recommend them to any one.
As a LONGTIME CUSTOMER... I am sharing what I learned... hoping it will help someone.
1. Make sure you have 7 days and at least 3 hours a day to complete your domain renewal.
2. Be prepared to speak with at least 3 customer service representatives. You may be cutoff or line dropped and you will not receive a call back.
3. You will not receive notification that your account was debited until it is debited.
4. Once your account is debited, you cannot cancel. Do not ask for a refund. It is too late. And you will not receive it. ONLY in special circumstances might you receive one.
5. If you do not have a GODADDY coupon sent FROM GODADDY, do not ask for the 30% discount. Be prepared to be told over and over again (hours worth) about how online coupons workand in my case did not work.
6. Do not ask for anything. You will not get it UNTIL you decide to call and cancel your domain. (BECAUSE you can TRANSFER YOUR DOMAIN TO ANOTHER COMPANY if you do it within 30 days of domain expiration.) When you cancel with GODADDY, you will get whatever you want INCLUDING THE 30% DISCOUNT COUPONS FROM GODADDY which will come in the mail.)
SOLUTION: Find another domain renewal company immediately. Call and cancel your domain with GODADDY. Ask for them for a transfer authorization code. Be vigilant and track the transfer process in your account to speed along the transfer process.
Helped me back order my lost domain. But the customer service is not good. Cost is reasonable but not with the cheap service. It sucks
They asked for my passport when I wanted to pay for hosting. I cannot submit my info to random strangers.
The site is amazing, the language is quite easy to read an navigate. Anyone would easily understand the language.
Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
