Would give them zero stars if I could. Can decide to redirect the funds you gave to another cause which suits their globalist agenda better.

It would seem that this group has only the best intentions in the beginning. What could be more honorable than helping people raise funds for all sorts of needs and causes? That is all well and good, until the layers of the organization begin to reveal themselves. They claim to all legit and transparent. But, my experience says quite the opposite. GoFundMe changed their website and most of the formatting overnight, without any explanation. I spent a couple of weeks of trying to get to the bottom of why donor information was no longer available. I received all sorts of answers that they were working on it... and then no answers at all. Finally, I was sent an email stating that because of new privacy legislation in the European Union (?), donor information is no longer available. Okay, that made no sense. Most of my donors were in the US and one person in Iceland. But why did it take weeks to get that answer? Only after berating them with repeated emails, did I get this little bit of an answer. They have no customer service number to call... and when I requested that they please call me... the answer was, "we don't call". Because of the lack of reports available... no donor list, no complete disbursement/withdrawal list... I started to become suspicious of this groups intentions. Not only do they solicit tips from donors, they are vague to donors as to where that money goes. I'm glad this fundraising campaign was successful. But... it was not due to any assistance from GoFundMe. Also after the revamped website "appeared" without explanation, many of the functions disappeared or were no longer functional. I was told if it works on the app... use the app. This is a lousy explanation. SO, I would not recommend this site... there are so many others. Beware of any organization that will not communicate with you directly.

NO matter how much you provide and how much or lil you raise the withdrawal to your account will not happen. Providing all the bills, lease, business reg, bank info and certifications yet still they want to phish people govt ID and even or those who gave them DL, passport and all still they are awaiting money over 2 yrs.
AND, they expect us to provide government ID which in Canada it is illegal, it's even written on the ID and passport: NOT to be used as ID, property of Canadian government. The privacy act is clear on that, and keeping the money hostage in return for govt ID is a federal offence here, yet they still do business here and impose these rules. I have reported them to RCMP fraud dept. They know about them, not the first person to be scammed by them.
They keep replying that it's their terms, who cares, if the terms are illegal doesn't make them ok!
People with positive experience are 3yrs and before, looks like mostly all negative after that. Don't try to email back and forth to explain you will not win any argument even if they know you are right. AVOID AT ALL COST! It's quite disturbing using people in need urgently and scam them like this. I read that they use the funds to invest hence why they keep you in a loop of 'security verification' all bogus claim. Be very wary if you have money in donations, best you ask to send back to people and get them to send you directly with PP or FB donations, which I knew that before!

Bad bad bad... this site has become political. You can choose to fund someone's boob job but not my black friends against mandates?!

This organization is SUCH a joke! They stole the "Freedom Convoy" funds that all of us average Canadians donated to, claiming that the convoy was destructive (which it wasn't, despite what some MSM outlets say). If that's the reasoning behind the decision, why weren't "Black Lives Matter" funds shut down and taken away? Seeing as how a large portion of BLM protestors literally burned their cities down, looted, caused riots, and physically assaulted innocent bystanders. If GoFundMe truly has ZERO tolerance for any violence, shouldn't the BLM funds have been cut off as well? Or is it only the causes you don't agree with? The Freedom Convoy have not done ANYTHING violent, and you'd know that if you did a bit of research. The Chief of Police in Ottawa came out and said so himself. Then you decide to give us our money back AFTER an official investigation was started?!? What does that tell us? I will NEVER use GoFundMe again, and I know I'm not alone. Congratulations GoFundMe, you just upset 84% of Canadians who are now refusing to use your services.

Don’t use this!! If they decide they don’t like your cause for political reasons, they’ll just donate your money to a “more suitable charity”. That’s messed up!!
