That when a fund raiser on gofundme.com is started, that whatever money raised, the recipient DOESN'T receive the FULL amount raised? There is some money deducted. I recently was the victim of a job opportunity SCAM and one of the organizations I reached out to to seek help was our local news station. They set up a Zoom call so they could interview me. The piece ran three times. The day after it aired, I was informed that a viewer wanted to donate some money to me as a kindness (my situation was moving to them). The reporter suggested I start a Go Fund Me. So I did. Two months in since that was the only donation, I decided to see how I could receive the money (since by then I REALLY needed it). Setting up a transfer, I noticed the funds were sent to my bank account MINUS FIFTEEN bucks! It wasn't the FULL amount! I wasn't aware of this. So I just want others who may start a Go Fund Me to be aware.

If rhey don't agree with your campaigne they will disable your account and keep all the money! Also they do this without any proof or investigation! They ripped off our country fighting for our freedom! SO NOT USE GOFUNDME! They are CROOKS!

Horrible company. I've seen them steal money multiple times from donors. With no explanation. If the alarm free well. This company should be shut down

I recently requested help regarding a campaign that was set up for me on GoFundMe. Theresa responded to my email immediately and resolved the problem in no time. I appreciate it so much!

They say that they'll get back to you within 20 to 30 minutes but it takes at least an hour. This is important if you're raising money and need help quick.

Go fund me can go $#*! themselves! They are stealing from people who funded the Canadian truckers and now threatened to release names. This company is a joke!

Prompt responses to any queries by professional people who come across as compassionate and caring. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Very happy all round.

Setup to run campaigns for people but to give them the opportunity to do so themselves.

I will never use this platform ever again. Go fund me would not release the funds to the convoy for freedom who are a peaceful convoy of Canadians truckers.

I was having issue with setting up and obtaining a withdrawal. I contacted customer service and they replied back very fast with some help to figure out how come i was not getting my withdrawal. Although it took several failed attempts to get the withdrawal the customer support was right their to help guide me thru with ease and comfort to reach my goal. They were fast, courteous, friendly and patient which is important to me when dealing with customer support staff. I was able to resolve my issue upon incorrect info entry by me and get what i needed in my promised timeline to my go fund me recepient. I was extremely grateful for having such a postive go fund me experience and customer support. I would recommed this site to anyone raising funds whether its charity or personal support it is safe, fast and a pleasant experience all around.

A $500 donation cost $15,5 day wait. I'm DIY, and have better options (some free or much less cost).

I created an account to help my brother when he found out he had cancer. Unfortunately, when I tried to withdraw the money that was in the account. I couldn't submit the documents for my I. D because it wouldn't allow me to upload them.So I decided to close the account and told the donors that the Go Fund Me page would be returning their money because I closed the account. Originally when I had reached out for support I was given a lot of support but it didn't help me. I just want the donors' money to be reimbursed to them. Thank you.

While attempting to make a donation for the Cow Palace on behalf of the Santa Cruz Valley Car Nuts I contacted the GoFundMe customer help. The response from the agent Malia was outstanding, prompt, professional, knowledgeable and even "sounded" friendly and concerned in the email.

Gofundme.com is a site where you can start your own personal fundraiser. I started my own on there. It can be for anything too. Any type of personal loss or theft. Check out my gofundme page.

This week, GoFundMe betrayed Canadians by removing the large fundraiser that was a huge success to support truckers who were fighting for ALL CANADIANS' freedom. I will never use the site again.

Set up a GoFundMe for a fellow nurse and when I tried to turn the account over to her, it took her weeks to get it set up and there was no way to get support because we both would end up in a circular call tree for several minutes, but would never be able to speak to anyone. My friend finally got it figured out on her own, but she shouldn't have had go through all of that.

Then, when I heard today that GFM wants to refund the donations for the Canadian Truckers or donate it to a cause they deem as more worthy, like BLM, I'm out. I will NEVER donate to another cause on their platform or set up an account to help a friend. I've done it for several. From now on, I will use GiveSendGo. I hope GFM gets their asses sued into oblivion. They're nothing more than Leftist thieves. Get Woke, Go Broke! Bye GoFundMe!

I had a slight problem with a donation and wrote GoFundMe. They responded within minutes and straightened it right out to my total satisfaction. Bravo!

I recently had an unfortunate issue with facebook managing a fundraising campaign and had to create a gofundme account instead. To make sure I didn't have the same problems as I did with facebook and their policies, I asked gofundme customer support to reassure me if my campaign was valid and if there was anything I should modify. Celine was supper helpful and very informative. She gave me confidence that my fundraising was a good cause and she even gave me tips on how to help raise donations more efficiently. It was the first time that I felt that I was actually speaking to someone who listened thoroughly and gave me her most professional and friendly advise. It never seemed as if someone was reading off the answer to frequent questions from a manual, as it usually is with other customer service websites. This was real talk. Love it! And I'm so glad that people like her work for a website that helps individuals and charities to reach their goals in helping great causes. Every customer service should be the same way. Dedicated!

Everyone is very nice and helpful! I have had no bad experience with go fund me yet. I'm disabled and trying to raise money for a four wheeler and I'm getting close to my goal.
