I distinctly recall several family vacations that landed my father in bed with a dreaded Gout attack where even the slightest touch of a bedsheet could send him through the roof in pain. I grew up in Maryland, home of the blue crab. Vacations always involved the obligatory 'all you can eat' seafood buffet night out. My father couldn't resist. Sometimes he got away with it, most of the time he did not. At 23, I experienced my first Gout attack, minimal by comparison, but quite the reality check nonetheless. I was young, I am a female -- how could this be? My father had it, my father's father had it, and so here I was doomed by the same fate. My ability to get involved with this company, and eventually take it over has been rewarding to say the least. Not only had I found the ability to control my own Gout, but now I get to help others do the same. This company is comprised of former fellow Gout sufferers. Personal experience with this excruciating condition is a driving force behind our relentless efforts towards resolving each and every individual's case.
