I was very disappointed when I tried to use a GC coupon. I have followed GC on my Facebook account and they sent an ad for a $14.99 haircut. I requested the coupon sent by email and this was the sender:

I printed the coupon which had a 6 letter code but when I tried to use it the stylist said the coupon was no code, it had already been used. She said the coupon needs to have a bar code which this one did not have. I did not download anything, I printed from the webpage. Beware!

My husband is an older Gentleman who likes to look his very best at all times, and Steven and the Crew at Great Clips (in New Tampa by Publix), are the Stylist to see. Not only are they great Stylists, but kind and respectful to boot! Love the Place and People.

Been going to the Silver Lake location for years, Last Saturday I once again did the online check-in at the Fenton Michigan location. I had a wait time was just under a hour. Received a txt that I would be up on 15min so I went there only to find out that my name had been removed from the list. I was told I would have to be placed back on the end of the line. I decided to go somewhere else and I so glad I did, I now realize how bad of a cheap hair cut I was receiving all these years from Great Clips. So thanks to all the employees at Fenton Great Clips for being so dysfunctional at all aspects of you job.

Went to get a hair cut today and for it being their first day open and still dealing with Covid 19 issues these folks rocked it! Thank You for all that you do and for a fanty haircut and experience. I felt safe and looked after and that meant alot!

My sister went in for a haircut for senior pictures yesterday. They made tons of comments about her hair being unprofessionally done and other nasty comments. It's no wonder they're rated so low.

I WAS MADE TO WAIT 40 MINUTES OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT (105 DEGREES), NO CHAIRS, NO ONE CAME OUT TO UPDATE ME OR TO TELL ME HOW MUCH LONGER OF WAIT IT WOULD. I WENT THERE CAUSE THE STYLIST I USE WAS WORTH THE TRIP/DRIVE BUT NOT IF I AM GOING TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS. MAYBE THE RECEPTIONIST JUST DOESN'T LIKE MIDDLE AGED WHITE MEN (WHICH IS WHAT I AM) BECAUSE ACCORDING TO SOCIETY WE ARE EVIL AND RACIST, RIGHT? I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN TO WASTE HALF MY DAY WAITING FOR A HAIRCUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN, SO THEY LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. I WILL FIND ANOTHER STYLIST AT ONE OF THEIR COMPETITORS AND TAKE MY BUSINESS THERE. ITS SAD WHEN PEOPLE TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF PREJUDICE.

I had the pleasure of Tiffani cutting my hair this morning. She was Awesome! I showed her the pic and she did EXACTLY What I Ask!
I was actually in not the greatest of moods and she did everything to cheer me up! Plus a Great Haircut! Many Blessings to Her! The World needs more Sweet/Competent people in it like Tiffani!

I walked into my local Great Clips (Gladwin Center) location in Abbotsford, B. C. They are committed to following the protocal for covid-19, sanitizing, wearing masks, etc. I received a special surprise. They gave me a clip for kindness today. Not sure why. I really appreciated the service. Special thanks to Pawan, who I believe was the very nice young lady who cut my hair. I am a senior, and a Vet.

I have been going to great clips now for 5 years. I have never gotten a bad haircut. Some are better than others depending who you get but always consistent. For 13.00 for a senior you can't beat it

I went in yesterday to great clips in Eugene oregon. I normally love my hair cuts there but she wacked me good I asked for longer bangs I got short ones my sides are not matching very upset

Today I went to Great Clips on Rt. 42 in Sharonville. Upon entering there was an employee at the register. She did not greet me. After about 2 minutes she asked what was my number. She then moved to a different register and entered my telephone number. She then walked away and swept up around her station. She then walked to the back of the salon, opened he back door and sat back there. In the mean time, the other worker finished with her client, cleaned her area and then came asked if I was ready. I asked if everything was okay since no one was speaking and she said yes that they had been busy. I had only observed one customer
Upon entering. The other worker remained on break for 25 minutes before coming back inside. Upon checking out I offered my $3.00 coupon which the employee could not find on the register. The other lady ( I imagine the manager) came in and had to pull it up on her iPad before she was able to see it and apply it. I get the impression that the manager at this location only likes to work with certain people. She is very unprofessional when dealing with all customers. I will not return to this location.

I don't even want to call them stylists. They're not. And certainly not professional. I specified my preferences and left with nothing close to resembling what I wanted.

Being a firm believer in giving local business a second chance, I tried again (after having been less than pleased the first time) and - again - was hugely disappointed. Two of the worst haircuts of my entire life. Two different "employees," both really bad. Thank goodness hair grows!

The cost factor isn't at question here, I've had great service at Ultracuts (but don't live close to one of their salons at the moment).

If looking to save money when having your hair cut (well)? Stay away from (this) Great Clips and look at other discount hair salons.

After the second fiasco, near to tears, I went to Ultracuts for a rescue (and thankfully, they were able to do something with the little hair remaining on my head) and learned that not all salons hire licensed or experienced stylists. Apparently it's skilled trade, much like carpentry or plumbing, where individuals take a course, write the exam, get the license then work / apprentice themselves to improve. Great Clips is notorious for not requiring their so-called stylists to be licensed.

Truly a case of buyer beware! If you're not sure, ask to see that piece of paper.

This is the place for you if you want to go in for a trim and then come out with 12 inches off your hair. My first visit was very pleasant with my hairdresser, but after my disastrous haircut... I won't be returning any time soon. There was also a lingering smell of cigarette smoke as I got my haircut.

Today was a very upsetting experience. I felt as though my hairdresser (Ashlee) did not respect my request to get a trim... instead, she chopped off my hair. In the future, I hope she chooses to cut long hair gradually, to avoid taking off too much length. Also, the smell of cigarette smoke was perceived as very unprofessional.

As a closing thought, I wanted to add that Great Clips reached out to me on Google Reviews, but when I followed up there was little to no communication. Makes me believe that they were just trying to respond to "save face." If your business prides itself on the "Great Clips Commitment" of "Your complete satisfaction on all services and products is fully guaranteed!", then show it...

I went in with a pic of the length and cut I wanted I don't know what happened but I left with my hair shorter at least 4 inches more she took off. I had to go and get headbands and wear them intill my hair grows out. I'm so embarrassed to go to work tomorrow. I have to try and curl it because leaving it straight looks HORRIBLE it looks like I've literally cut it myself. It's going to take months for my hair too grow to the length that I wanted it she actually took the buzz clippers and I have never had the buzz clippers on my hair. Not to mention the purple haired lady I have dealt with her before her attitude is horrible. She has the worst customer service. She messed my son's hair up a few yrs ago and made my mom's hair look like she took out Chunks of her hair. So needless too say I have had the worst haircut of my life. I'm so upset and pissed right now I've been crying all day Everytime I look in the mirror. I will never return to this place again. The second pic was the length I wanted. I can't believe that I have to live with this now. Disgusting. I was so happy with the second pic I guess the look on my face says it all. I call and spoke with one of the managers so I went in and they were the best. Come to find out my hair was a hot mess as soon as she started going though my hair she could see what she did. So outside of the length she clean up and reshaped my cut. I don't have to worry about wearing a head band now. Thanks Connie you will be my go to for now on. I will be dropping off my tip for you soon.

Like most people who go to Great Clips, I have been going because of my schedule, I like to get my hair cut at my convenience. I have short, easy to manage hair. I like to keep it at a certain length, so when I go in, I usually try to emphasize that I am there for a TRIM not a crew cut. Most stylists understand this, but a few seem to think, "I'll just give this old lady her money's worth!" And they proceed to cut four inches off when you asked for a slight trim. There isn't a whole lot you can do once you see a four-inch lock tumble down! The last haircut I got at Great Clips took the cake. The woman had cut my hair the previous time and did a great job. I was happy to see her when I walked in. She took the scissors in her hand and seemed to viciously attack my hair! I saw the long hairs falling and felt like crying. Then she, all by herself, decided to "texturize" my hair, something I know shouldn't be done to curly hair. My "trim" left me with about one inch of hair, chopped like nothing I've seen before. That was on January 4th, and it has just now, February 17, gotten a little length, but is still choppy. I have always been proud of my hair, it's been easy to maintain with little maintenance. I'm sure this time, people have wondered what branch of the military I served in! Please train your people not to do this! It's humiliating! This stylist also asked me, quite rudely, "Do you color your own hair?"

Today on 3/14/22 a young girl cut my hair I keep a photo of the hair style I like to show the person because I cant see what their doing without my glasses on she cut my hair so short I look like a guy in the military im 68 yr old women it didnt look anything like the photo I had when I told her it was way to short nothing like the photo she just laughed at me is this how they treat seniors thinking it doesnt matter to them its ok she's just an old lady its ok no big deal are all your salons this way? I'll never go to one of your salons again my husband says I look like a guy

I recently had a hair cut and Nicole at the Algonquin, ILL. Location did a fantastic job! I love the cut. I asked her to do what ever she thought would look best! And I am so happy with it.

I have been going to Great Clips for a while now. I have only good things to say about the company. Good hair cut. It really comes down to knowing what you want.

I have medical issues that prevent me from wearing a mask on my face. Upon entering some $#*! of a hairstylist wanted me to wear one and subsequently REFUSED to cut my hair without me wearing one. NEVER ONCE did they ask if I COULD wear one. They have lost a customer today because I will NEVER walk into another one for a haircut! I'll shave my head bald first!

Today i went in to get my hair fixed. I asked the lady to even my hair out and she $#*!ed my $#*! up. My hair line is even less straight then me. There's pieces she didn't even cut. This place sucks $#*!. $#*! cheese $#*! hair cut on god bro. I LOOK $#*!ING SPED ANS $#*!ED IMA GET MADE FUN OF BRU. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

I went to this place and they cut to far in my beard and burned my skin with her razor. I have never had a bad experience at a great clips until I came here.

Just came from the Willowick Ohio Shoregate Great clips and my hair is literally CHOPPED into pieces, no blending, one side is close to my scalp, the other side is longer, the back neckline is crooked. This is horrific. She kept trying to correct her mistakes making it so short, there was nothing left to correct. NEVER, EVER, WILL I GO THERE AGAIN. WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD.
