Fast courteous service. My Air con went out last night (Sunday), sent an email around 23:00 with the problem. I got a call at 09:16 Monday morning that told me they'd be there around lunchtime. Showed up about 13:30, fixed the issue plus installed a best thermostat. Pricing was fair and service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

They have closed 2 separate accounts and have "lost" my 16000 dollars tax refund but lied about returning it to the IRS. And I can't access 1500 dollars in my separate account BC they closed the account and never offered me any explanation. I reported it to the federal reserve BC they are already under sanctions for money laundering.

Please stay away from this business because they will totally Ignore you when something goes wrong on your giftcard. They possibly could be keeping the card themselves. It sounds crazy but it may not be. They Ignore, ignore, ignore, ignore ignore. One vanilla and restaurant giftcards are usually 100 times more helpful and nice! Walmart, which is a good company needs to wake up and get rid of this company very fast and do only business with onevanilla who are nice and respect people.

They will hold your money hostage and make unreasonable requirements in order for you to get access to the money that you gave them in good faith. After hours on hold with customer service, I was told to send in pictures of my drivers license to proof my identity. I sent 5 emails, and each was was rejected with a form letter saying that it couldn't be read. They were each crystal clear. I'm on my 6th try and will see how this one goes. It's currently been 2 weeks that I haven't been able to get to my money.

I can’t say enough bad things about this company.

I was going to use GreenDot temporarily until my direct deposit got setup with my new job, but I ended up keeping it and am still using it. I don't use it so much for actual shopping, but I have a certain amount deposited to the card and have nothing but bills coming out of it. Since my bills total per month go over the $1000 mark, there is no fee deducted from my account. Overall, I have had no complaints with Green Dot, they what they say they are supposed to do and do it fairly well. My dad has had some issues with getting information like address switched with them, but I have not run into any such issues.

This is absolutely the worse debit card to acquire.
The customer service is atrocious. They hang up on you if they don't want to assist you.
They hold your funds hostage using tricks like changing your pin number without telling you.
Run as fast as you can from this debit card. Get whatever money you might have and go elsewhere.

Why do I have to speak to a person/customer service rep out of country? Why do they see my information such as my Social Security Number, my address? Why can't Green Dot Bank have an American support system that would benefit the product as well as give us as customer a practical way of communicating our issues? Why do we have to speak to a rep we all know lacks the proper credentials to help us? Why because of the cheap pay in India and Pakistan? Why when I try to speak to Green dot bank corporate office on the internet are there not avenue's to resolve issues? As your out of country people are there to make sure we are blocked and not given the proper tools to fix an issue? Just too many Why's but why?

Disastrously mishandled situation
Have asked numerous time since January for a 100$ refund... repeatedly told check is in the mail.
It's near the end of August, still no refund on card that I told them I needed to cancel. Was told to use the balance - which would've been grand IF the pin didn't stop working.
Never again
And I'd tell anyone else to find another way

And to day no one on their side has realized there's 100$ that's not theirs sitting somewhere... the account was closed, the card doesn't work, I've contacted them several times and am told the same thing. If you do use Green Dot... get ready
You'll have to stay on top of transactions, balances, and what ever else.

I have had the worst experience of my life with these people. I feel they are a scam and trying to keep my tax refund. They said I had to send front and back copy of my ID, I did that and it's still not good enough because my drivers license has a crease in it from being in my pocket. Now iv got to spend another 30 dollars and wait weeks on my new ID to get here and try again. This is bull$#*! and I'm completely livid about it, I feel like this company is a thief because all they have done is take my tax refund away from me and kept it. I ought to b able to press charges on them for stealing. If you have any other options would use it and not deal with these thiefes at all. They suck and they steal your mo

Stay away from this horrible place. These greendot money pak cards do not work 99% of the time (Says no money was found on the card or did not go through) and you have to call their crappy customer service to tell them about your problem since the store you purchased the card from cannot do anything about it. They will keep you on hold for a long time and eventually say they're sorry and will "refund" your money through mail by a check (for me i never got mine at all). Point being, they will steal your money and say they refunded it back. It amazes me how many people say this thing is great and still is in business. They're probably members of the company posing as customers saying they had a great time using it and recommend this to anyone that doesn't want to use a credit card online. Find another method to pay for stuff online or just use your own card to avoid dealing with these scammers!

I've had greendot for well over a year now and I love it. I get my direct deposits next day, sometimes same day. Low to no fees. They have a convenient easy to use app that sends the notifications I need. The couple of times I did contact customer service, the replied promptly and with detailed help. If you're looking for a great online bank, I highly recommend greendot.

I purchased card and put money towards the card which never got loaded on the card. Have been going in circles with emailing photos of receipts and packaging and still have not gotten my money. These people take money from hard working people.

I was with green dot for 7+years never had an issue! Then one day I literally watched all my money get stolen! Someone hacked me took everything I had, they changed my email to my app then my password! Tried to call green dot to dispute it or stop whomever it was and it took 45 mins to even speak to someone then said it would take 10 days to hear something back after you could clearly see someone took everything and overdrafted my account! They closed my account and then the waiting started! It's now been 15 days I have not heard anything and when I call to check the status it says no dispute reported in the last 90 days and I still have not got my money back from it! There is no piece of mind! They blew me off and will try anything to not give you your money back and to top it off you'll be lucky to even speak to someone!

Purchased card on a Friday, unable to activate it properly. Told to call invisible number on back of card. Chatted with a machine, told to call help number. Would only help if I log in, this is what I needed help with, refered back to chat. Told I would be contacted with in 24 hours. That was Sunday, now Tuesday morning and nothing. No way to contact real person. They have my money no way to retrieve it. Going to call NY state consumer affairs and NY stock exchange about problem with there books. Never buy one of there cards under any circumstances. Put proof on here so they can cover it up no way will talk with a real person first.

On June 3 Called green dot to cash out my card and send me a check. It's the 27th of June no check. That's "17" work days? I'm Mad! They can send you a card in 10 days. Giving your money back who knows I did call it's still processing.

I am the director of a long term care facility trying to help a resident that bought a $250 card which never loaded properly and for which they were never reimbursed. They asked for my assistance and I was shocked to learn they had been working on this with Greendot for nearly a year. Despite supplying a case# for the incident this person with health concerns and limited funds has never received a reply or status for their request. Truly pathetic. We have raised funds in order to reimburse this resident, but I cannot say I support the purchase of the product since it is not well supported by their company.

Tip for consumers:
the stores you buy these cards from do not support the cards. That is between you and Green Dot, should something go wrong. Purchase with caution.

I received my tax refund on a Green Dot prepaid card. Before receiving the card, I moved, so I needed change my address. Green dot customer service told me to email some documents to prove my identity and new address. Now 6 weeks later, I have emailed the documents to Green Dot customer service at least 4 times, and I had even emailing them to corporate. I was promised that as soon as corporate received the email, that they would issue me a check and overnight it the same day since I had been having so many problems dealing with their horrible customer service. To date Green Dot has done absolutely nothing. Corporate won't even call me back, now that they have received the required documents. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. They may as well have no customer service Department, given they refuse to help you anyways.

I stayed on hold for over an hour to speak to a representative I could barely hear. I found out my call was to the Philippines! My dog chewed my card, bI needed a replacement and they completely froze my account! Charged me 5.00 for a replacement 5-7 days and to expedite 15.00 more dollars but I had to call back to do that. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Find another card it's not worth the aggravating

I tried greendot for a short time. I initially loaded $20.00 on my card.
I spent $5.12 out of it and found I had zero balance in just 1 week. So where did the $14.88 go? I guess into their pockets. I closed my account upon finding that out.

Bought a VISA green dot card added 350.00 plus the cost of the card. Went to activate the card and it would not activate I registered the card as well still unable able to use. Called customer service for help representative was unable to help or reassure me. They just said keep trying. So sad I was taking my 6 year old to Magic mountain for his birthday and needed a debit card for transactions. I went back to Walgreens where I purchased the card and they said they could not help me. I told the representative I felt like I got scammed and want to file a report with the police station she said "you can do that if you want to."

If you want somebody to rob you of your money and then tell you how stupid you are for using them buy you some green dot prepaid cards and or open up a Green Dot account. This company is bull$#*!, what they stand for is bull$#*!, and they rob poor people or people who need their money and then they offer them absolutely no solutions.

Another complaint about Green Dot Prepaid Card, I was charged $7.95 monthly fee after 24 hours purchasing the card. Call the back of the card ( customer service) nothing they could do! Will never purchase this piece of $#*! card Again!

This is by far my first and last time I'll ever use green dot card ever again. I've turned in photos to verify my account and still haven't unblocked my cards. My bills are late because of this jackass company!

What a rip off! They charge $8 monthly fee UNLESS you physically go to a participating place and load $1000 a month. Direct deposit DOESN'T COUNT. A lot of online purchasing doesn't qualify for the cash back. I have a refund pending and they won't release it for 14 days. I've had the checking account for 3 months. I've earned $6 cash back and have paid $24 in fees.

This company rips people off on prepaid cards. My son got $25 on a prepaid card as a gift. Upon activation they charged $8 fee, leaving him $17 out of $25 to use. Then he used it to download money on his Starbucks account. They charged him another $5 to use the card. He only got to use $10 out of $25 with a balance of $2 on the card leftover. Complete rip off

I have been on the phone for 3 hours with the dispute department and haven't been able to get through to them.I'm very dis with green dot now.This is the third day I've been calling and still no answer...they owe me money and want them to add it to my card and nobody answered it says under 3 minutes Ive been on the phone this round 34 minutes and still nothing...there customer service is poorly they have no clue what there doing...I was considering on going back to use them as a bank well they blew that...not to happy with greendot at all..

The customer service is bad...I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone in 3 days now...I won't be using this bank again they ruined that for me...

If you need help on any topic there's no way of talking to a real person unless you have a card number or a social security number linked to a card number. They give you only limited topics for help none of which are even relevant. Don't waste your time with them you won't get help from them at all. No service whatsoever.
