Fast courteous service. My Air con went out last night (Sunday), sent an email around 23:00 with the problem. I got a call at 09:16 Monday morning that told me they'd be there around lunchtime. Showed up about 13:30, fixed the issue plus installed a best thermostat. Pricing was fair and service was impeccable. Highly recommend!
They have closed 2 separate accounts and have "lost" my 16000 dollars tax refund but lied about returning it to the IRS. And I can't access 1500 dollars in my separate account BC they closed the account and never offered me any explanation. I reported it to the federal reserve BC they are already under sanctions for money laundering.
I had money deposited into my account and when I go to use it it comes up as declined even when it's under the balance that's in there. Then I try their chat on the app, nobody ever answers the questions. Then I try to reach them by phone, and of course no answer again after waiting for an hour. This bank is such a scam and a joke. I would give them negative stars if I could.
The verification codes never work. You must have your card activated in order to supposedly talk to help, but your card can't be activated. They referred me to Just Answer for help but they said they do not work with companies. Crooks. Thieves. They stole $100 from me. They sell these at CVS.
I have been using this card for over 10 years. I haven't had a problem until recently. With that said I have lost a total of 450 dollars in the last 6 Mos. Closing out my account. Customer service IF you can get a hold of them they always blame the merchants for their mistakes. The merchants I speak of all have 5 star ratings. That alone tells you where the problems lie. Green Dot refuses to make adjustments to correct the problems they created. Again blaming the 5 star merchants. I am done Losing money with them. Save yourself the waste of time and money. These people are thiefs.i went to walmart and got one of their prepaid card loaded it there for $200 and got a receipt activated the card and till now there bo funds in my card or account.They keep u on hold for hours just to talk to a custormer service representative. They offer no option to get your money back.They offer no option to use the card online.They are completely useless do not even try using them
Terrible company to do business with. They do not stand behind their customers. I asked for a review on transactions that I did not make when my phone was stolen and used to purchase goods I put into appeals, and the outcome was the same. I would not have this card if Apple Pay did not give me rewards on it, take your money out and don't waste your time with them. Terrible terrible!

The last 3 times I purchased the green dot card I've been in my truck punching the steering wheel at how this company is ran. You can not get a real person on the phone and it's never a smooth activation. I had to pay a bill that was due that day and I couldn't because they didn't know what was going on with the card number that I purchased. I just bought another card and put money in it thinking it would go better this time but I cannot activate and can't get anyone in the phone I would stay far away from Green Dot pre paid cards if you want to keep your sanity.

I wish I had consulted this website before I purchased that green piece of crap. I am forced to use the card just to get my money back (no refund.) Of course, they took their monthly fee of $10 for doing nothing right off the bat. Moreover, customer service talks to you like you're the loser for using their card when you're the reason they have a freaking job. Such bastards... Never again.

I purchased a card to pay my bill and it kept declining so I called the customer service to find to be told that you can only use it in stores so now I'm not going to be able to pay my bill. I'll never use this card ever again so I gave them one star but they do not deserve that one

I bought a Walmart money card two years ago and put a 100 dollars on it my husband could remember the log in info so I called customer service the cancelled the card was supposed to send another one never did it's been two years and I still have not received the money after showing all proof from day one now they tell me my time limit ran out, so they took money off card and never paid it back I would never recommend this card I spent months and years on the phone verifying everything they asked for the drug me along until the time ran out and also said they money had been depleted from card yeah it had they took it off! Never ever buy one of those cards your just screwed if any thing goes wrong.

Green Dot sucks, cards been great. Customer service availability is the worst... I've had an account for 10 years. All my ach and direct deposit information has been the same. I don't want to undo that... yet they can't update my number or email... oi gotta cancel and start over with new card... terrible resolutions

Started using them when I started my job, I liked that their thing was you would get your direct deposit 2 days early. However I've learned not to count on it because it shows at random times no rhyme or reason. They recently started offering overdraft protection but arbitrarily suspend it on you. Customer service is a mess, you often get someone who disconnects you or really can't help - massive overseas call center I assume. I'm not thrilled and will probably switch.

It's been the most horrible financial experience I have ever endured or even imagined. They charge fees for every transaction and then put limits on your withdrawals.if you want over $500 you are just out of luck. Fees are ridiculous.
They say a charge is "pending" even though the merchant even calls and says to release the funds... nope they just hold it for 3 weeks without even telling you. Bc of my credit situation I was desperate but people fall on hard times. Understandable but what makes me sick are the billionaires that profit off of hard working people just trying to scrap by. 600 dollars they are sitting on. Normally a authorizing charge u get back immediately. But 3 days tops. 3 weeks? Disturbing that this is even aloud to happen. If ya don't hear back from me I probably froze to death since that money was keeping a roof over my damn head. Meanwhile green dots revenue is 1.2 billion dollars. So $#*!ing disgusted and angry
I'm surprised at all these negative reviews. I've never had a problem. I agree the customer service isn't the best due to the language issue, but they've always been available to me. I get cash back every July. Really no complaints and very convenient
Put 200 on a card, then went to use 170. Weeks later I go online and somehow I was at negative 18 dollars. Then got set up for direct deposit got my first check and they stole 16 dollars of it. Disloyal business, would not recommend this trash company to even my most disliked enemies. In the course of 1 month they stole, 64 from me. Negative stars if possible. Have recites photos and screen shots for proof.

Horrible customer service! Hung up on 3 times! Kids and husband screaming in the background, they cannot transfer calls. As they work from a cell phone. Cannot speak English. They cannot confirm if your email was received. I am cancelling this card ASAP!
I would give them negative stars if I could because they take they money - mark it as pending - and don't release the funds to Amazon. Because of this my little 2 year old girl isn't getting some of her Christmas presents on time this year. Also kept me waiting for over an hour to speak to someone who is using an internet connection that fails when they try to even talk to you. You failed horribly!
This insidious bank has taken 8 weeks to provide me with a credit card eBay scam refund. I have sent, resent and resent all documents they required. This is the worst bank in FDIC network. Offshore employees are ignorant, arrogant and just hand up in people. I have reported them to BBB where they have 8000 cases of complaints. Do not buy their credit cards unless you want to lose your money. I even sent a complaint to FTC on them. Stay away from these thieves.

At this point greendot bank had stole 18 thousand dollars from me under suspicion of fraud even after all identification documents have been provided and funds are verified.Ive talked with 7 different people and even had one tell me he wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor and that it is what it is. The fact that walmart still uses them is ridiculous.
I have used the green dot bank card for almost 8 yrs. It is all well and good till there is an issue. Customer support is not U. S based so the language break down is frustrating at best. This last incident... the bill pay system has been down for over a week. No way to pay bills. And they are not will to be responsible for the late fees. Was only told that it would be reported to the tech dept and somebody would get back to me next week. Two weeks into the month and nothing has changed. Will be moving all our accounts away since this is unacceptable.
Since I have had this poor excuse for a bank I have had so much money stolen or disappeared. When u file a dispute they claim it's a valid transaction 100% of the time. They allow people to take ur money and when u call they live to hang up on you. We need to get together and file a class action lawsuit against green dot bank. There's consumer complaints and you can go the share holders as well. If I could rate them a zero. I would. I updated my address via the app. 30 minutes later I get an email asking for a picture of my driver license and that my account will be temporarily suspended. They just blocked it stating that they have to verify my information. Even after answering all of their questions. That incident left me without food, gas, and not being able to pay my rent. Not to mention, they hung the phone up in my face. Don't waste your time or money!
