Recently grindr banned my account with no specified reason of it. I did not violate community guidelines. But i can not log in or make a new account at all. I contacted grindr support and they said that the ban will not be lift. Dose anyone know a solution?
Grindr is dangerous. Met the wrong group of gays, who were using meth. So I fell prey. 6 years of he'll on earth. Went from snorting it to injecting it like that. You start to have sex for drugs. It is horrifying if you are under age and you are on, Grindr deleted immediately I've almost been killed. I've been catfish so many times. Or it's a trap and you get killed that way.
Grindr is a fraudulent company they will happily take your money then block your paid account Then run off with your money. So some guy gets rejected for sex gets angry and reports you in revenge then your banned just like that absolutely no proof or evidence is requested or required

My grindr account was banned for no reason and After asking multiple times Grindr is refused to give me a detailed reason as to what happened. I received no warning to edit my profile if I did violate anything and Grindr refuses to Lift the ban or pay back the money I paid upfront for my membership that is supposed to end dec 2020. Just a bunch of crooks ready to steal your money.

Then I have lost all hope and give up completely. Plenty of bots, fake profiles, useless ads, stupid popups, people using fake pictures or stealing other guys pictures, guys with huge egos, sneaking around their partners, etc, etc, etc. And if you're over 40, you damn well better lie about your age and hope you get away with it. I live in a small town that has no local Pride group or outreach agencies. The nearest large city is an hour and half drive away, something that's not always practical. My experience with this App has left me completely dumbfounded that people can be so rude and condescending. It baffles me that my brothers and sisters have reached the point of utter hatred towards one another, even to the point of physical and verbal threats. Do NOT USE Grindr unless you want your self-esteem shattered. Absolutely pointless and useless App as far as I'm concerned. I'd likely have better luck with an escort agency.

Grindr used to be an ok-ish app. Nothing special - especially when compared with its Windows Phone counterpart called Meet'em (by the way it was so good that Grindr shut it down by denying it an access to their network).
It both amazes and infuriates me how on Earth this app is still having such a big user base, when you realize that all Grindr developers care about is your wallet.
In exchange you get this "user experience": 1.) Glitches, crashes. 2.) Aggressive advertising with ads playing sounds (!). 3.) No customer support, no feedback. 4.) Random and undeserved account bans while at the same time bots and scamers are unaffected 5.) Vanishing and delayed messages. 6.) Problems logging in (invalid token errors) resetting password. 7.) Absolutely horrible, cluttered interface.
Stay away if you plan to remain sane.

Someone please create a new and improved app to compete with this p. O. s. The same complaints as everyone else. Bots, WAY TOO MANY LENGTHY ADS, I've heard a horror story of a very intelligent guy being blackmailed and Grindr not helping in any way. AND, the pic issue. There is NO rhyme nor reason to their approving pics. Mine for example is me, seated in public, fully dressed, a shirt and conservative j crew shorts - deemed "to sexual" / inappropriate - wtf? Meanwhile, one member is wear a g-string the size of dental floss, with one leg up on a railing? Another on all fours in a speedo, testicles hanging... neither cute, neither hot. So, it is very strange to me. Different rules for different folks. That doesn't work for me.

These people are money hungry pieces of S! They do nothing to deal with hookers spam or repeat illegals. They just don't give a F**K! And they seriously expect people to pay for this abuse? They should be shut down. The only thing keeping them alive is hormones! Bastards!

Getting horrible, making no attempt to clean site up, spam bots every day. Fake texts ( send phone number so we can talk), prostitutes, drugs, fake ts, fems, trans. Has turned into a horrible site not worth the effort.

I did contact them, they replied with a canned boiler plate, yet had ZERO proof of anything. They will happily take your money. I paid for a year and got banned after 3 months? BTW As a data analyst I took note of over 300 replies, into which only 3 turned into anything, and of those 3 only 1 finally turned into something worthwhile. Yet the site on a daily basis has people on there for "roses" in the form of venmo, paypal or some other cash app. Also people sending you to websites for ID check, I got scammed for 40 bucks, but my CC removed the charge. Or websites in general for cams and videos shows. All I wanted to so was have some fun.

I enjoy Grindr for meeting guys on my travels. All the bashers here seem pretty frustrated... we all ourselves make up the app... I simply ifnore the headless torsos No Problem. There is one annoying bug! The settings of metric system do not get saved! Grindr is an American based app so they keep switching to US Imperial system... just wonder if it had been the opposite would Grindr have tackled this bug?

I, like many of those before me have written, have been banned for no reason at all and with no justification. After seeing many pictures of those that have written, it is becoming clear to me one obvious reason most of us are being banned... Unless Wayne and the "other" staff from Grindr can explain their own biased and bigotry. It is mind blowing the amount of Drug offers along with Prostitution offers on Grindr, yet I who even kindly thanks annoying users that wont stop messaging me get "Banned" from this hookup app. Was I being tooooo kind hearted? Who the F... knows... Yo Wayne at Grindr, you should be banned yourself for being that bigot against your own community!

Like many others I was banned from Grindr for no reason. First they said my profile was 'spammy' - then when I challenged Customer Service about it, 'John' stated that I 'breached community guidelines'
I was on grindr for years without any problems and suddenly I was breaching their guidelines. Of course, they provide no specific details but are quick to point out that they can ban a user at any time and for any reason, or no reason at all.
If this is how grindr is going to conduct business and treat so many members, than I don't see them surviving very long. The odd thing is, they banned me for no reason yet there is a spike in the number of actual spam profiles.

Poor customer service, and vaguely written, but abuseable community guidelines, make this app a poor place to socialize in a positive manner. After trying this app due to the suggestion of a friend, I'm concerned with the number of people who are soliciting funds in exchange for sex.
Since refusing such offers, I have also come to be banned (likely being reported out of spite by those I'd rejected), and the customer service team can't be bothered to do more than auto-generate a response to any inquiry sent to them.
Blessed be those who can enjoy the app, but I would avoid this app if you want to use it for social connections.
Tip for consumers:
Even if you do try the app, don't bother with the subscription services. They don't add anything meaningful to the service.

This App sucks! With all of the money that you make off of this App and you can't fix the damn thing from constantly locking up? A lot of people on the App complain about it.

How does this piece of crap app get away with allowing only certain people to post nude photos? I've filed complaints about nudity and nothing happens to the photos. I've tried to post similar photos and my photos get blocked.

Endure the free version, if you must, but this once promising site has gone to $#*!. Drug dealers, prostitutes, spambots, unlicensed massages, and now women have turned this site into a joke. They have invested a lot of effort into developing pay features, but can't manage to keep fake profiles and the other things that will bring about their demise off their site. Destined to become totally useless.

After being dissapointed with the site for things like recommending people 600kms away and generally being a pretty ordnary site I cancelled my account. I can comfirm that because when I tried to log on as a test it bassically asked me to rejoin. Antwat after 3 weeks I just got a notification from google play that $32.00 was taken from my account to pay for another month. I wonder how much money they are making from deleted accounts?

I signed up for a subscription for $9.99 a month. I am on ssi and disabled. The charge came off my card every month. I do not get a paper statement. I went to the google play store and found out that without my knowledge or approval they started charging me $12.99. I contacted them and they said that they dont give refunds. I pointed out that it was fraud to do this. Of course i got the same reply about not giving refunds. I have filed with the Federal Trade Commission and. Would like to find others Grindr has done this to and file a class action against them

Although the gay community elected to use Grindr as a method to cruise, the product itself is constantly unstable and regularly down for a reason or another. Memberships are extortionate and do not reflect the level of service the app offers. Customer service is inexistant and one is treated simply as a wallet cash can be extracted from. Replies to issues raised via the help system are pro-forma, issued by a computer. Being aware of issues and glitches slowing down the app or getting it down is one thing but experiencing, first hand, the treatment reserved to customers by their customer service is quite a different experience all together. There is no surprise in finding out mass migration from Grindr to competitors like FabGuys or Scruff... Reasonable membership cost, reliable apps or platforms and issues are treated and solve by human beings who treat their customers like ones.

I have been banned from 3 accounts and they give no reason for the ban. I did follow their guidelines and did nothing wrong. Several people on the app advertise drugs and prostitution but still have accounts. I am not sure who is in charge of this site but I am taking legal action!

I am tired of talking to fake profiles, denouncing them and see Grindr do nothing about it. I even send the original photos of international celebrities fake profiles use, but they don't seem to care. Also, since it's been sold, grindr is popping ads out of the blue every 5min. It's sad to see such a great app become so mediocre.

Grindr isn't even a gay dating app anymore. It's now just trannies and straight homophobic men wishing to sleep with them and cheat on their wives.
Grindr supports this.
Their admin ban your account with no information on what you have done or how you have been falsely accused.
Grindr supports homophobic activity and do not care for the gay community.
It's the biggest sham app.
DONT DOWNLOAD OR SUBSCRIBE TO THIS HOMOPHOBIA SUPPORTING APP!
Tip for consumers:
This is the worst app ever.
If you download this app you are supporting homophobia and the spread of diseases.

It used to be a good app about 7 years ago. I used to meet real people. It was purchased by a Chinese firm and is filled with fakes and scammers. The profiles steal photos from other sources and create profiles that appear to be in your area but they are from China, Philippines, Russia and Africa. (Probably left over internet trollers used by the orange pig to win the election. Don't waste your time because the people in support with their stripper names are not real either

The discrimination given when you're trying to post pictures is absurd. There is some real sleazy underwear pictures on there. I tried to post a pic of myself shirtless cut off at the bottom of my chest and it keeps getting denied. It makes no sense my face is in the picture and my chest that's it. They say underwear picture is not allowed yet there are plenty of them on there with bulges. I wonder who is banging who to get their sleazy pictures approved yet mine which are completely rated G are denied. This app is a complete and utter joke.

I have found Grindr to be nothing more than a pic collector playground. People are rude. They are blunt they come out and tell you what they want, what they expect! And if they are not into you, they will let you know how gross and disgusting you are and that they're not interested. There is no civility on the site. Most people just want to trade pics and that's it and once you trade the pics they will put your $#*! on block so fast your head will spin. This is the ugly side of what gay life has become. And Grindr does nothing to soften the blow. I absolutely find it repulsive. If you don't have a poor self-image once you initiate your profile, you sure will walk away with one after it's all said and done.

So have two accounts to see if it's true. One account paid for monthly. My second account I didn't pay for it. My paid account was banned for no reason. Followed the rules and got banned. My other account sent all kind crazy stuff. Guess what not banned yet.
If you want your money taking for no reason. Go ahead download the app and pay monthly fees.

Like most gay dating apps, this is no longer an app just for gay men. "Queers", women, trans men everywhere. Grindr wants to please everyone, so why not just kick out real gay men and let everyone in.
