“I have made over a dozen purchases and sells through...”

Bill W.
10/16/12

I have made over a dozen purchases and sells through gunbroker and have been satisfied. Granted there is little customer service, but look what you are paying. What I especially like is their search engine... much easier to use than those of other sites... they make guns from all over the US just a bid away. Thanks GunBroker!

“Downward slide”

Howard g.
5/4/24

Once upon a time I got good service from Gunbroker. I've bought and sold many firearms on their site. Since Ammo took them over I've had nothing but problems with their website. Try and get a person on the phone! You have to be a Gold Member to qualify. Crap customer service. Too bad what happened to them. They have lost a long time and once satisfied customer. I"m sure others will follow. Howard S. North Carolina

The customer is always right but gunbroker is paid by the sellers. Where does that leave the buyers? In the wrong no matter what.

Visit and bid regularly. Never had an issue. Tech help was fine when I needed them. Not sure where the negativity comes from.

Bought a couple things on Gunbroker, but when I bought a Class III weapon, the seller insisted (after the sale, with no prior warning) that he hold on to the weapon AND my money out of state until the ATF paperwork fully cleared (4-6 months later). I have bought other Class III weapons and other sellers ALWAYS have transferred the weapon to my local Class III dealer IMMEDIATELY upon receipt of payment, where the weapon sits until ATF has cleared. So HUGE RED FLAG. Without any negotiation with me the Seller complained to Gunbroker when I refused to send payment without being able to receive what I was paying for to my local dealer. Without even contacting me, Gunbroker suspended my account. Once suspended I wasn't able to log in, and therefore not able to even contact (so-called) Customer Support to tell my side of the dispute and have it resolved. End result, it's a great idea to sell guns online like ebay, but the idiots at Gunbroker are Nazi's without reason or cause, and for that I am happy to do business elsewhere.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this place like the Ebola virus. You'd be better off throwing your money in a trash can and burning it.

I discovered Gunbroker.com years ago... The last time I used it was in 2016. Then? I went to use it recently ( late November 2022) and found there's a 'triple verification' policy so no matter how long you ( we) were once 'users' of Gunbroker.com- you now have to jump through hoops. The only problem, is that after satisfying ( or so we thought) the 'VERIFICATION' process. They never VERIFY us or give a reason NOT to? Instead? Nothing. Blanco- nothing! So I have to surmise that 'anti-2nd amendment' IDIOTS. Have surrepticiously gotten control ( somehow) of this web-site! Ridiculously, they ask us to fill out a 'SURVEY' as to 'HOW THEY'RE DOING' right after becoming active ( AGAIN) and entering all the VERIFICATION info ( needed) which I held off on (the survey) for a week then blasted them ( seperately from THIS blasting!) So I also surmise that they may vey will be controlled by persons seeking to identify potential firearms sellers/buyers for future reference for the far left. Makes sense, no?

This site offeres no buyer protection or support. No phone number listed to help. SELLER shipped me a ar10 that did not cycle or operate correctly at $950. I returned to him and had to pay the shipping upfront. DID NOT HEAR FROM SELLER FOR OVER 3 DAYS AFTER HE SIGNED FOR PACKAGE! I emailed GunBroker and filed a fraud claim( no way to call a person), to which they responded to me to wait an additional 5 days and they sent the seller an email... ARE YOU SERIOUS? The only light at the end was the seller finally did send the refund in the mail and included 25 of 60 dollar return fee, which was why my issue is with the site and not the seller. I am happy he did the right thing and did not stiff me. B rating for seller, F for Gunbroker. They claim to offer a $500 insurance warranty on every purchace, thats bs! HORRIBLE idea to do business where you have to mail a check/certified check/money order to a stranger and hope they have what they say they have. Do yourself a favor, buy in a store that is local to you where you can resolve issues like this. I was lucky to get a refund, but will NEVER risk it again. This lesson cost me a little over a month frustration (very expensive), A TON of patience, and about $75 dollars in shipping fees and FFL transfer fees...

After buying a factory new gun found out it's used. Gunbroker admited wrong of their seller yet denied fraud claim. STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL BE CHEATED TOO. Worst customer service ever
