I have used Guru Aid for several months now. They do an excellent job assisting me and fixing my computer when it is slow or has any type of problems. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone that needs help with their computers. They are also very courteous and patient.
I thought I was calling ESET. After letting them have remote access and paying $110, I am finding the next day that a lot of the clean up they said they had done, they did not. They were able to fix my problem with my security, however, I was told it would take 40 minutes and it took over 8 hrs. I actually had to call them back because the tech left me hanging on remote for a long time without doing anything. Once he started working on it again he was finished very quickly. Don't know if I got him in trouble and he skipped over things or what. I even missed a planned event with my Grandchildren because he had told me I needed to stay by the computer. Would not use them again. I could have done most of what he did.
Sanjay verma & mohammad sohail offered splendid customer service in troubleshooting the issues with my computer. I look forward to it operating faster & more efficiently as I fully trust their guidance. Both gentlemen were extremely polite & patient
Tip for consumers:
I recommend this site due to the dedicated & qualified staff expertise
The dvd was not opening properly in my desk top. Guru rectified this after some battle with the machine and now all is fine. Such a relief. The process was explained as we went along very well. I have great satisfaction knowing I have this backup. Excellent performance from technician Sachin.
Every one of your technicians that I spoke to were courteous, knowledgeable, and did a great job bringing my computer back to good health. I was very happy with this experience. Thank you all very much.
I find guruaid.com to be an excellent company. They have helped me through a number of problems. The technicians are polite and helpful. With other sites, the people were very rude. I trust this company.

I have been a customer for two years during which my laptop has been 'serviced' three times. Following the last service I noticed that the Norton anti-virus software was switched off. Either this was done by a technician or they had not noticed. Either way deeply worrying. I explained this over the phone and said I wished to discontinue my contract. As we approached and passed renewal date I received a string of calls from their representatives. My attempts to speak to a senior manager have been ignored. Not to be trusted.
Having seen mixed reviews before I contacted them I was unsure but went ahead, like many others I was kept on the phone for hours (yes hours) and talked into having a 'clean' in order to sorts out my computer. Yes asked the usual questions hold old are you, have you ever been to India and much more.
I was told that I could stop the download anytime by pressing on a certain logo - After almost 2 hours I wanted to stop as getting worried about possible scan - I was told I could not stop and they charged me a total of £119.99.
Having a sleepless night I contacted my bank to cancel my credit card to stop any further
Possible use. Then sent a strong message to them and managed to get full rebate about 2 weeks later. So was I lucky or over worried about nothing - leave you to decide but I will keep to branded security systems in future.
Possible
I had problems installing antivirus software so I spoke to someone at GuruAid and allowed him remote access to my computer. He said showed me loads of "viruses" I had and promised he could then install the antivirus then but not before; all for £80. I said no and stopped his remote access. I then rectified the problem myself by un-installing outdated software and installing the new. This is now running fine and has detected no issues with my computer. Moral of the story; "Do not trust, they will make you believe you have more issues with your PC then you really do".
I wonder if anyone that gave a positive review actually used this company. I originally called this company thinking they were associated with AVAST. They are not but they lead you to believe that they are. I cannot believe I was so stupid. I paid $179.99 for one years service. The tech that was supposedly cleaning up my system was nice, but that is the only good thing I can say. After a very long time, over 1 1/5 hours, my system was supposed to be cleaned. Well, after logging off and logging back in, it was actually worse and just as slow. I have contacted my credit card company and they are trying to stop the sale.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you are talking to the company that is actually associated to your anti-virus company.
Guru Aid told me that all of my listed issues would be resolved and "not to worry". This was, of course before I paid for the service. After of their doing whatever they were doing I still had the same issue with Microsoft. I asked for a refund and they kept putting me off, and saying they were further trying to resolve the issue. I even spoke to the supervisor and he gave me a run around. I finally hung up, called my credit card service and disputed the charges. I was fully refunded!
I called Dell customer support and ended up being switched to this Indian tech company. I had a problem where the computer would not boot up. I am still under Dell warrenty support.
The support people kept passing you around from one person to another and end up conning you into signing up for their service. The day after I went to their site which shows I can get a full refund within the first 30 days without question. I called but they refused to do that. It cost me $100.
Stay clear of this company.
This has been a nightmare. They lost several of my programs and finally called Dell and they discovered 63 viruses on my computer. I am calling my credit card company today and disputing the charge. Stay away! To bad the computer allows sites like this. They are scams.
Some have written that this is a scam operation. It does seem to be. I have had more problems on my computer since I started using them than I did before that. I am very unhappy with them, and would not recommend them to anyone.
In general I would stay away seriously. They are very dangerous. When I feel better and I have more time I will give you more but after being with them for at least 15 years, I have gone to hell and back.
They pretended to be Norton, and after $120 dollars I found differently. I believe these Indians are the biggest generators of hacks in the world. I think our government needs to concentrate on the Indians for hacking American computers, whether it is my pc, or some banks, or elections. Not all the credits for hackings should be given to the poor Russians.
This company, GuruAid, signed my elderly mother up for FOUR accounts which they bill her monthly for. They claim to sub contract as AVG. TOTAL SCAM. Said she had to pay $100 to cancel acct, then they keep on debiting money from her acct every month, multiple times! The bank had to cancel her credit/debit card. I have filed a fraud complaint. Unfortunately, since they are in India, they know they are "safe" to rip off poor unsuspecting elderly individuals. Disgusting.
Just to say... have been trying to contact them for days... Every time I get the same reply..."the lines are busy... please call again." The problem is when you do call again, you get the same reply... Also when you do get through, they always want to update my iPad and smartphone - for a price - and then tell me 'what a special deal I am getting.' and when I say NO - they are not really interested in helping me with my problem... will not renew my contract with them
Unfortunately, some time after I wrote my first review, a positive one, we were scammed by either GuruAid or someone posing as them, It is well I post a negative review now. The caller claimed to be from GuruAid. He had every single bit of our GuruAid contract information, so the call seemed legit. As embarrassing as it is to admit it, we fell for it. But we are no longer naive. Now we know never to respond if they call you unsolicited. Fortunately, we were able to put a hold on the money transaction so we didn't lose cash. But we lost untold hours in changing all our other accounts and passwords. When we called GuruAid directly to tell them about the matter, they said they would look into it. They never called back about the matter. Do your homework. Don't be folled.
Spent half an hour with one of their 'techs'. Stupid me gave him access to remotely solve problem with my AVG ZEN (which was a problem in and of itself. Don't know what this tech did but my desktop became unstable and virus ridden!. He said he'd sort it out if I paid £80 or if I couldn't afford that what could I afford?. I put the phone down. What confuses me is why AVG allow themselves to be associated with Malware snipers!. One can only wonder.
I thought I was working with McAfee to resolve a problem with the virus installation.
Next thing I know. I have a Guruaid on line trying to sell me a service contact. Who are these guys and are they to be trusted to take over my computer?
This company is a piece of Sh-t. The only thing they are competent at is lying and stealing your money! This company is the lowest form of competence, lower than whale sh-t and that lays on the bottom of the ocean! If you really want pain and suffering take a hammer and hit yourself in the head.
This company masquerades as a legitimate tech support company, which is in fact a subterfuge for illegal activity.
They try to get you to install software which allows them to control your computer, at which point they change settings, install viruses & other malware - which aids it in eventually stealing your credit card details, DOB, name, address & other details, and steal all your files by copying them to their end (including confidential documents).
They then say either that what is wrong will either cost money, and / or offer you their own "Annual Maintenance Plan" special package, which is basically more malicious software which not only will steal your details, but potentially hold you data and documents to ransom.
Been using this company for years, spent a lot of money, unfortunately this last service they did wasn't carried out as they usually do, they wanted me to give them another £149.99, for extra years servicing, but I declined as my energy bills are so high, my laptop is now very very slow so it's a shame but they didn't carry out what I paid them to do

Guruaid.com deceive customers into thinking they are contacting a legitimate company. For example, if you google "Telephone Norton" you will see the top result with a Norton antivirus logo, but which is actually guruaid. I fell for this trap once when seeking technical assistance. They answered the phone, pretended to be Norton, asked for remote assistance on my machine, then sought to gather serial numbers of hardware. I later contacted Norton for real who kindly helped restore my system and pointed me to a Federal Frauds complaints website where i made a formal complaint. STAY AWAY FROM GURUAID as the staff are genuinely fraudulent liars.
Please fill.
Another excellent service. Vikas Singh corrected my errors very quickly and professionally.
I am well pleased. I have been a client for a couple of years.
