I have been using Harry's for several years. I am a prior Dollar Save Club member. I really love the entire Harry's product line, but most importantly, the shaver and blades are fantastic. Count me as a happy and satisfied customer!
I've been using this razor for a little over a week, and while the shave is very close and smooth, the trimmer is another story. Oh, it's sharp alright; I've jabbed myself in the chin a couple of times, and it bleeds for several minutes. I guess it was thought of as a good idea at the time, but when you're shaving, and the cartridge springs back, ouch! Having said that, everything else seems to be fine. And the blades are cheaper than the name brands, even at Walmart (which is where I purchased it).
I have been shaving for 30+ years and have never gouged myself like I have with Harry's new blades. The superfluous precision trimmer they added frequently gashes my chin when the handle slips. This never used to happen when I used similar cartridge styles from other makers. I was a delighted Harry's customer for several years and eagerly recommended it to others. No more. I will look for a new vendor when I exhaust my current supply.
As a side note, Harry's customer service dismissed my concern saying,"... after a few more tries, you'll find that you're getting an even more comfortable shaving experience with the new blades." Basically: you don't know what you're doing. Unfortunately, they no longer make available their blades without the precision trimmer.

The difference between these blades and those that cost several times more is negligible. Once you get used to the mechanics, Harry's provides an excellent shave. I am excited to try the other products offered.
I stumbled across Harry's about 6 years ago when they were only blades and shave cream. They've always been excellent quality for the price and every item they add just makes the grooming experience better.
I have used many shaving system over the years and never been happy with the quality or price of the offers out there. I felt the big companies were just being greedy, charging what they do for a simple razor replacement is a white collar crime.
Harry's noticed this and beat the big guys at their own game. A great quality product for a great (cheep) price, which it should be based on the amount of materials in a razor blade. Hats off to Harry's and their fantastic customer service group. Well Done!
My wife purchased Harry's for me 2 years ago for Christmas. The next year I received Bulldog razors for Christmas. I'm a carpenter, truck driver and a Libra lol( l love beautiful quality things). Hands down the Harry's is the best shave I've ever ever had. Ladies if you want a gift he'll enjoy you can't go wrong. The Bulldog razor is the most beautiful I've used with its bamboo handle ( we love Bulldogs), but sadly the blades are not as sharp and smooth. My 2nd choice would be a yellow bic single blade but you can't find them anymore. I am truly satisfied with my Harry's
After my review of Harry's second generation blades more than a year ago, things are still the same and no change in their product. I read all the replies from Harry's customer service representatives about forwarding the concern's to R&D and wonder which galaxy are they at? Does it take so long for them to find that yes there is a problem here. I think their R&D dept. means (Relax and Don't bother) Guy's at Harry's why is it so difficult to understand that you made a mistake by discontinuing the first generation blades! Make them again and you shall see the complaints vanish in a poof!

I've been using Harry's razors for a few years now. They're not only a much better quality than a lot of women's razors, I love that I'm able to customize shipments to fit my specific habits. A recent delivery issue- part of my order had been removed before the box arrived- was quickly fixed and without question.
I was nervous about buying razors online, particularly from across the border, but over the past 4 years or so I've consistently gotten fine quality products within days of ordering. It's been a great touch having a responsive service team, always following up to make sure I received what I expected. Great products, great prices, great delivery.

Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.
Answer: Absolutely! There are lots of women who use our razors so we'd definitely encourage you to give them a try.
Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
