The product speaks for itself in terms of quality and price. It also makes a great gift idea that is useful and really doesn't cost that much. So, if you are looking for a birthday or other holiday gift idea, here it is. I bought several for friends this past holiday season. They love it.
My husband loves to take showers-long showers... and soap has always been a 'lets try something else' for 38 years! I purchased your soaps because he loves the razor and shave cream, and I liked the scents. He was thrilled. We have purchased more to give as gifts... just like we did with the razor!
I am quiet picky with my grooming needs, primarily because of my meticulously maintained goatie. I find Harry's very convenient and their service is app based and easy to tailor/modify. Their razors are good quality and usually last me at least 2 weeks before needing to be changed.
I've been purchasing Harry's Products for over a year now. The blades are extremely good and you can't beat the price. I've tried several products and they are all good but my favorite is the Face Wash, it exfoliates and leaves your face feeling invigorated and smooth. I'm 60 years old and this face wash keeps my complexion looking young... nothing wrong with that. If you have any questions their customer service is amazing. Purchase only $10.00 worth of products and shipping is free and I like that too. I would strongly recommend Harry's to any man of any age.
I have used these blades for the last two years. Just this last week did I find a blade on the top of the razor that is GREAT for those hard to get to areas like under the nose, etc. So happy I discovered it. Also works great as a straight edge for side burns,
This company does a great job at customer service. They are very responsive to email, and have been since I started with a trial offer. Always a breeze to check on the status of my order, or pause the servive when I need a break. The product itself is simple, stylish, and comes in neat cardboard packaging. Very good customer experience overall!
Don't want to have to post a review, but... I am a 72 year old woman who only shaves her chin & have done so for 57 years. Never has a razor broken with such light use. What? The hinge cracked? I explained what happened & the rep said she would send me a new one. Which she did...& CHARGED me $16 on my credit card? Is this not a defective razor or a scam?. Was sent as a "free trial" a while back, but that's not the point. Wouldn't people wanting to buy ( shave plan) want to know this can break? I guess my question is... I can afford $16.00, but why should a reputable company, with the knowledge that their flex hinge can crack, not apologize & send a new one? The woman on the phone acted as if this is an everyday complaint!
That doesn't sound right, Joanna. We definitely would provide that replacement free of charge, so we'd recommend that you shoot our team an email (help@harrys.com) and we'll make sure that you're refunded those $16.
Since the blades are close together, even after rinsing thoroughly, hair follicles remain between the blades and clog the razor. This affects the shave and renders the blades to dull faster and requires to go over the part you have previously shaved two or three times.
We're sorry to hear about the clogging, Bob. We recommend using shorter strokes while rinsing your blades more often. When it comes to cleaning the blades, rinsing hot water through from the back of the blades (as opposed to the front) can really help. You may already be doing that, but figured we'd mention it just in case. Also, if you're using our Shave Cream, we'd recommend mixing it with a few drops of water in your hand, that should definitely help create a less dense consistency. Just about a nickel-sized amount should do. Our Foaming Shave Gel usually has an easier time washing through the cartridge, if that's helpful.
I've had Gillette's blades and electric razors. I have sensitive skin on my neck and would get razor burn pretty bad everytime, I gave harry's a shot this year (found a starter set for like $8 with shipping) and I haven't had any razor burn. I've been so pleased with them and the prices I bought a gift set for my uncle, my dad, and my father inlaw. I'll never shave with anything else again.
They use DHL shipping which is the worst shipper in the country, I have tracked a package go 200 miles West of me to turn around and go 200 miles East. Takes 10 to 12 days most of the time to get a shipment from 450 miles away. BAD
Blades are fair, i always thought German steel was supposed to be great. My guess is they import steel from China to manufacture the blades in Germany. Shaving gel is a bust, hard to rinse from blades wasting a lot of water.
For economy shipping, it can take about 5-10 business days. Nevertheless, we take these kind of situations very seriously and share them with our distribution team.
Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there’s no hard-and-fast standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves.
Due to their fine steel and precision grinding, our blades are incredibly durable. Just remember to give them a good rinse, dry them off, and store them away from too much moisture - they will treat you well! And a quick note on plastic covers: definitely make sure the blades are dry before you cover them. We know covers give great protection when traveling, but suffocating the blades, even if they’re only a bit wet, can cause rust!
The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, but also hopefully priced affordably enough that you won't feel bad about replacing them.
I've been using Harry's products for approximately two years and will continue for the foreseeable future. The smooth, close, irritation-free shave is something I've come to rely on and have not experienced as consistently with other products.
Thanks for the love, Bryan!
I've had my Harry's razor since 2014, and love it. Great blades, shave gel, after shave, etc. I've also ordered the travel sizes and some other products (body wash, face wash) that are great too. Highly recommend.
I've been using Harry's blades, shave cream and after shave balm for several years. I recently added their bar soap and it's really great. Lasts a very long time, smells good and produces great lather. Go Harry's!
With my job I shave daily. I finally gave Harry's a try. It felt like shaving with a disposal dollar razor. My face was bleeding in four places. I would not use a Harry's razor to shave a rhinoceroses butt if it was made from titanium. I don't even know what to do with the set and extra new blade. I would feel guilty donating to a homeless shelter. I know! I will give it to some one I don't like.
Sorry to hear that our product was not a good fit for your shaving needs, Konrad. Sometimes it just takes a little time to adjust to the differences in a new system: it often really helps to experiment with the angle at which you're holding the blade and/or the amount of pressure you're using (too much or too little). If you have any feedback on how we can improve, or you'd like to chat more about your experience, please feel free to send us an email at help@harrys.com.
Harry's provides consistent quality with their blades and razor handles for the money. Given the volume, one might ocassionally experience a poor blade. BUT with my usage over the years, I have yet to encounter it. Users have to understand that each face, leg, etc. are unique, so shaving will have it's nuances and different results for different folks. If one is used to paying dearly for blades with which they're pleased, continue doing so - if that's the hand you've been dealt. But don't knock Harry's if that's what you've been handed in life and Harry's blades don't satisfy your requirements.
Been using Harry's Razors for about 6 months now. Will never go back to old school overpriced Gillette again. The blades are super sharp, love the extra blade on the edge for trimming around the nose and lip, and they stay sharp at least 3x longer than regular blades. Highly Recommend!
I have been a Harry's customer for a couple years. Simply a great choice! Products and people are the best. The big name razors can't deliver the shave you get from Harry's. In fact, my wife tried the razor and cream and now we are are Harry's house.
I originally bought this razor for myself because every ladies razor I used tore me up. All the branded blades with the moisturizer attachment with the feminine names and pastel colors left me scarred. Then I let my husband try my new razor. So now we are both dedicated Harry's users. So are my sons and everyone else we know. Spectacular product and service.
I used these blades for six months and they are very poor quality. After three uses they were useless. They cut my face every time I used them. It is a total rip off. My problem was I bought too many in the beginning. I hated wasting them but I could not stand them after a few uses. I was glad to go back to Costco and by some high quality blades.
Wish it could have worked out, but we understand that you've got to go with whatever gives you the best shave.
I have ordered blades (and razor handles) for years from Harry's. Ordering is easy, pricing is great, and quality is wonderful. Any interaction with customer service have been solidly pleasant, professional, and helpful. I have a medium beard, with mustache and trim Van Dyke style beard. A blade lasts for 2 weeks and continues to provide a great shave right through changing it out!
Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.
Answer: Absolutely! There are lots of women who use our razors so we'd definitely encourage you to give them a try.
Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
