Harry's blades are cost effective yet perfect. I get 7 close shaves per blade, so for me one blade per week. Never and I mean NEVER have I cut myself.

Harry's is a great way to get high-quality blades and cream. But I wasn't very fond of the shampoo. It works well but the smell is terrible. So I guess this is a mostly good review.

Blades and shave products are very good and compare favorably to competitors at a lower cost. The trimmer on the edge of the blade makes it easy to shave around tough spots on my face.
The First Time I Used the Harry's Razor, I cleaned off the shaving cream to see if I had left the plastic cap on. It was so smooth I didn't feel it cutting my whiskers. Al. Cambridge Ontario, Canada.
The Original blade design was Fantastic. Sorrily they ruined it with their new design. Also the blade on the back has cut me several times. What a shame..
It all started with the razor, which I use only a little becuase I have a beard, was so impressed I tried their other products, deodorant, shampoo, styling putty, it's all great and nicely priced.

Answer: Great question, Tony! Blade lifespan will definitely vary a bit based on your particular hair type, shave schedule, and blade care habits. While there's no exact standard for how long a cartridge will last you, we find that the average person likes to replace blades every 6-8 shaves. The idea is that our blades are durable and will last a long time, at a great price.
Answer: The new blades are not as smooth as the old ones and you cannot buy the old ones anymore.

Answer: I had a problem with that when I first got them and found out that I wasn't pusing them on the handle far enough. Also if you hold too close to the blade and choke up on the handle too much your fingers tend to push the blades off. When I held back further on the handles... no worries. Since I changed those two things, I don't have that problem.
Answer: Because when they changed the design of the blade by adding the trimmer, the blade lost its smooth shaving quality, life of the blade and no burn feeling. Now it burns after the shave, blade does not last that long and all you are left with is a cheap blade. If they bring back there 1st generation blades back, I will be the first one to buy them and give back my business to Harry's for LIFE!
