I actually love Hautelook. I mainly buy kids clothes from here, and I think it is awesome that they have a return policy, which is so important with children. You really never know how things are going to fit, especially if you're trying new brands -- as Hautelook often showcases brands you may not know about. Their shipping takes longer than other flash sales sites, but I really don't mind. And I've never waited more than 3 weeks for anything. I have never had a bad experience buying or returning merchandise.
Sometimes you can find good deals, but 75% (3 out of 4) of my orders have either arrived with missing items or one a pair of sandals that broke after being worn 5 times. I will say that their customer service has been very good every time. This most recent order was just the last straw because I can't be running to Nordstrom Rack (which is not even in my city) to return stuff all the time.
I have bought a few items from this site, and have been happy with the quality received, though I have only bought mainstream brands I'm already familiar with - DVF, Trina Turk, Hobo, Marika, etc. Though prepared to wait at least a couple weeks to receive.
HOWEVER - beware if you think there is any chance you may have to return something, because you will wait weeks to receive your refund, and keep on top of them to be sure you actually do. The last two times I've returned something I've had to follow up on the status of my refund after it showed being received by them a week+ before. The most recent times required multiple emails to customer service, who blamed the error on an IT glitch over a week ago, and I was just updated with the good news that they will be crediting my account in the next 3-5 business days.
I am shocked Nordstrom has any affiliation with such a shoddy organization. I have unsubscribed and will not spend my money with them again.

I ordered 2 guitars that were autographed by celebrities to the tune of $758 as Christams gifts. These were non-returnable. I should've known better. The autographs were legit ( I THINK0 but the guitars were cheap. Made-in-China, and not playable. No better than toy guitars. I tried to get in touch to complain. No one would do anything. I demanded a refund because they were not as advertised. Nothing. Then I got smart. I found the name of a board member (Greg Bettinelli), and found he was a member of Linked In, and a few other professional sites, so I complained to him publicly and directly. That night, I had a refund AND I was informed I could keep the guitars. PS.My musician son didn't even bother to take his home, it was so crappy., even tough it was allegedly signed by Chris Cornell.

I can say I had the Hautelook app on my iPhone for quiet some time and haven't used it. However a month after Christmas I took a look and their sales are remarkable. I have placed over 8 orders with them and have never have an issue with product at all. I will say this much PLEASE READ THE SHIPPING AND RETURNING POLICY. This company has never promised overnight nor fast shipping. Not all items are in their warehouse which means it's a process to get you're product. I can honestly and have recommended this site to my friends. It's nice to get good quality at a reasonable price when you can. For all of those who say this website is a scam how about you do you're research on the product you're interested in before and after viewing. And also people READ! That is the down fall about ordering online than in the store it requires you to READ.

Received rancid tarte lipsticks and glosses, unable to return. Inconsistent sizing although they always state runs true to size. Delivery takes weeks. Will not order again.

Well, my friend insisted I check out haute look... I love their pricing. Unfortunately, they RARELY have plus-sized clothes (no, XL is NOT plus sized) so if you are a bigger girl- it may just make you sad watching all these amazing clothes at awesome prices that you can't even DREAM of fitting in...

"FREE SHIPPING ON ORDERS OVER $100" no asterisk or any type of footnote indicator to suggest exceptions. ANYTHING over 5 lbs doesn't qualify. How is it they can post free shipping without highlighting there are exceptions? They've lost a frequent buyer and so has Nordstrom. If I could attach the screen shot I would.

The worst experience that I had so far online! I order some dresses (6) at Hautelook.com, after charging my account right away I had to wait a month to get the first dress, I'm a size medium/large, I order the dresses large thinking I rather had a dress a little bigger than one that won't fit, boy was I wrong!. That dress is so SMALL that it fits my niece who is a size 0 or XS! I am beyond furious, the tag said large, but it's not the right size! From all the reviews I know it would be a pain returning the dress and getting my money back, so I guess my niece will have a whole new wardrobe this spring! I'm still waiting for some beauty items that I order and the other 5 dresses (that like I said I've charged for, and still waiting for over a month) and NEVER AGAIN, I'll make sure all my friends and family knows what a ripped off Hautelook is!

This operation, now apparently owned by Nordstrom, is not set up to quickly fulfill orders. Standard operating procedure is to offer great-looking merchandise, charge your credit card immediately upon order placement, then provide no information on when delivery will occur. My experience is that clothing takes 10-15 days to ship, and there is no status report or update provided in the interim. I ordered a chair on June 18,2012 and as of July 5,2012 it continues to show "at hautelook warehouse" with an expected arrival date of July 12-23 -- with no shipping information.
They do not appear to have the merchandise the are charging for on-hand and ready to ship. That is how this business operates. So, if you want to pay now and wait with no information about what is going on -- this site is for you. There are other sites such as gilt.com and myhabit.com that ship orders the day they are placed. I'm holding off on doing more business with hautelook until they get their fulfillment system together.

HauteLook did a flash sale last month of jewelry. The sale indicated that merchandise would go out when the sale was completed. We were interested in a beautiful piece for Mother's Day. I actually contacted customer service to define where to ship it and to make sure we would get the piece in time. The rep said that would happen. Today - Friday - it is still not here. USPS has a tracking system that indicates it should have been received yesterday but now updates. In reaching out to customer service at HauteLook the rep simply stated that USPS had eight days to deliver the package. She didn't seem the least bit concerned that I had called before to make an informed decision.
Today, I reached the conclusion after many interactions with HauteLook that they are primarily interested in selling as much merchandise as possible and have little, if any concern about customers needs. Getting inexpensive luxury merchandise for myself is one thing. Getting a gift for a loved one? If they can't fulfill the expectation, tell us.

I love haute look. I am a very loyal customer and have been shopping with them for the last couple years or so. The only issue I've had ( after at least 20 orders this is the first issue to come up) was not getting an item I ordered for a trip in the estimated shipment date. I called customer service the week after it should have been delivered and not only were they extremely helpful and understanding, but they went above and beyond what most companies would do. The representative gave me her name and email address and she was going to investigate why my item had not arrived. I explained to her I ordered this item for an upcoming trip and I really needed it by a certain date or I would have to cancel the order. She updated me a couple days later through email and apologized about the delay. I decided to cancel the order but thanked haute look for the stellar customer service. I was refunded the full amount of the item no questions asked( despite it being a very expensive purchase). They also credited my account with a $30 for the inconvenience and understanding. I could not have been happier with the customer service representative. I've recently dealt with other online discount companies that are polar opposite of haute look when it comes to customer service and assistance with returns and what not and I will NEVER AGAIN order anything from that other company again due to poor customer service policies and communication skills. Making a customer happy like haute look is really how you keep loyal customers coming back!

I bought through Hatelook, a 7 Mankind Jeans and an italian handbag, both deliveries were planned for 2-3 weeks after the ebent closed. I accepted the delivery date, paid and waited long 3 weeks, finally I received an email for my jean delivery on the way and told me the handbag would be delivered separated. I received my jean in a wrong size and an email telling me sorry but they would cancel the handbag order due to short inventory. What?!?!?! I checked the website and for my surprise they opened again the same event with italian handbags, very unreliable and this website pkays with false advertisement. I'm not gping to buy here again

The deals are not bad but the shipping takes FOREVER. By the time I actually got my packages, I brought them right to the store and returned them because it was something I needed/wanted before it arrived, 8 WEEKS later. I will never shop on this site again, when you buy from China it comes faster!

Waited almost 3 weeks for my home décor items. After following up with the Hautelook customer service (after no notice from them) twice, only half of my order arrived. After 2 weeks of chasing Hautelook for the remaining portion of my order I was advised the goods will NOT be delivered since they were overcommitted from the vendor and I would not be receiving my goods. I am still waiting on my card to be refunded - who knows how long that will take.
Safe to say I will NEVER be ordering from Hautelook again.

The 2 times I've purchased from this site the merchandise received was DIFFERENT than what was pictured. I purchased a $50 gold necklace that was described as being 30" in length (I specifically wanted a long necklace). When I received it, it was only 16". I called Customer Service to complain and the woman asked me "MAYBE YOU MEASURED IT WRONG. DID YOU MEASURE IT LENGTHWISE?" Did she think I was an idiot?
Then just recently I ordered Ben Sherman bag for my husband. The strap was shown to have a white racing stripe on it (the main reason why my husband wanted it.) We received it yesterday and the strap is solid black.
I will not be shopping here anymore!

I love the selection of products and the prices but i am very tired of the shipping wait. Every single time i buy something from them it takes a whole month to TWO months to get to me! I buy a winter jacket and by the time it gets here, its not even winter! I live in the US, so theres no excuse for this! Im getting very irritated.
