I actually love Hautelook. I mainly buy kids clothes from here, and I think it is awesome that they have a return policy, which is so important with children. You really never know how things are going to fit, especially if you're trying new brands -- as Hautelook often showcases brands you may not know about. Their shipping takes longer than other flash sales sites, but I really don't mind. And I've never waited more than 3 weeks for anything. I have never had a bad experience buying or returning merchandise.
Sometimes you can find good deals, but 75% (3 out of 4) of my orders have either arrived with missing items or one a pair of sandals that broke after being worn 5 times. I will say that their customer service has been very good every time. This most recent order was just the last straw because I can't be running to Nordstrom Rack (which is not even in my city) to return stuff all the time.

It's amazing how little they care about customer loyalty/satisfaction. After multiple purchases over several years with very few complaints (minus the snails pace shipping) I have been burned beyond forgiveness. Placed an order this week, immediately realized the second I pressed "complete order" that my shipping address didn't update with my billing address. Immediately called customer service, put on hold, was told if I input my number they would call me when I was at the front of the line. Lo and behold no call back. Called next morning- too late to change address, wait until you receive shipping notification, call again and they'll have UPS reroute in transit. Call AGAIN, with shipping notification in hand. Oh too bad, we shipped it with USPS- you're out of luck. NOT a single apology throughout, no offer to help or refund, despite the fact that they are shipping a box cross country from where I currently live. And no option at any time to cancel my order- is that even legal? Companies like this are why I pay for AMex, I am reporting this and will have my credit card company dispute all charges. In the meantime, I'll be telling everyone I know to stay far away- if it seems too good to be true it is. To add insult to injury, the tracking number I recieved doesn't even work! So now I can't even see if whoever does end up with my package bothers to return to sender! The next time I shop with Hautelook will be their liquidation sale.

This place is amazing. They have home furnishings, women's clothing, men's clothing, great deals on beautiful jewelry, holiday gifts, organizational pieces and more. Also Nordstrom Rack shopping. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the shoes they sell (their own line too, Sole Addiction), doesn't have wide shoes often. Sole Addiction not at all. They are middlemen so the merchandise is drop shipped from elsewhere. So it takes from two weeks to 3 or more to arrive at your house. This is the trade off for being so inexpensive! I have purchased many many times from them, and it's never taken longer than that. They have a great return policy. Just call or return to Nordstrom Rack. Don't let anyone tell u different.)). I bought a brand necklace for hundreds less, half the price, iPhone charger for $70, when the stores sell them for $100, and so much more. The foreign material, like skirts, might have strong smell, I'd steer clear. I buy throughout the year, and save merchandise for bday and Holiday gifts. Hello Kitty's there frequently. THEY OVER CHARGE TAX! Buyer beware! If you decide to buy from hautelook.com, not only do you have to wait a lifetime for your purchases to arrive, but they do not charge the correct sales tax percent for where you live. I'm actually thinking about reporting them to the government for this.

OH MY GOSH! If I were you I would NOT listen to any of the negative comments people have been posting. Look I have worked in retail, and frankly when I read the comments about horrible telephone service, I have one word for the complainers. BREATHE. Obviously your not calling to tell them they did a good job, so do not get angry, its not THEIR fault they are just there to help you, and who knows what could of happened to that person on the phone that day. Yes, work and personal life is always separated, but sometimes you cannot hide emotions. Also everything I have ordered off of Hautelook comes to my house so fast and its always is perfect. I am never surprise when opening up my box of goodies. Whatever I saw in the picture is what I am looking at in real life. And really the Prices are AMAZING! I recently bought Fergie Metro Boots for only 70$. For the quality and the comfort of the boot I would of paid full price! I love love love hautelook, and personally make it a daily routine to check the website, even if more times then not I do not by something for myself, but I always find myself showing things off the website to friends because I know they would want it. Hautelook has never done anything wrong to me or anyone in my family, and totally we have purchased over 20+ things. Love Hautelook, I recommend it to everyone!

I have purchased a few times from hautelook. I have received mostly good things without issue. However one time, I received the wrong size shirt and requested the size I had ordered, but they did not have more in stock which sucked. They told me I could send it back for a full refund and will give me a store credit, which ended up being like $5 or 10. I was like hmmm waste my time even further? No. Instead I gave the shirt to someone else as a gift. In general they are ok though. EXCEPT with their shipping. Normally it takes about a month to get stuff but thus time takes the cake. I ordered from them on Jan 20 on an order that stated 2-3 weeks to ship. Here we are, one month out, and the order hasn't even arrived at hautelook to then ship to me! I have contacted customer service like 3 times now. Each time its, well I don't know when we will get it do you want to cancel your order? Lol Ummm what?. So this time they finally reimbursed my shipping price and said I can cancel it of I don't get it. So I said so you don't know when the company will ship to you? And they said nope. So here we are. I have to either cancel after waiting a month or stick it out and keep checking to see if they are actually gping to send me my stuff.

I wanted to give 1 star but the customer service I received was decent. I am a first time customer and recently bought 2 different pairs of black boots on this site. The first pair was delivered pretty quickly, but to my dismay, it wasn't what I had ordered. It was the right style and size, but in the wrong color. They no longer had those boots, so I was pretty disappointed. I returned the product and they paid for the shipping costs. The second item just came in and I could tell by the size of the box that my boots were not in there. Sure enough, what I received instead were a pair of shoes completely in the wrong size, style, color. Totally not what I ordered! And no packing slip to be found. I called up customer service to find that they do not handle the inventory of the items, therefore, I wasted my time browsing, choosing and ultimately paying for 2 pairs of boots that I will never receive. They offered a $15 credit, but I won't be using this site again. I am still awaiting my full refund to process.

I spent thousands of dollars with them online because I was unable to shop in stores for a medical condition. I also had to return a lot of items to the nearby NR /HL store as well as cancel a lot of items over around a year and a half. When I began to inquire about where my refund was for X order or that cancellation, they changed their tune. I could get no assistance from ANYONE at their call center. I had asked to speak with finance, supervisors, managers etc. No response. In fact, the day I thought I was getting a call from the center manager, I instead got a letter saying I had merchandise I had not paid for, I had declined help to resolve the disputes( wtf?) and they owed me nothing more, then proceeded to wipe out my online account info and access to it. I still had orders due to come in that I had already paid for. They also stopped a delivery of thousands of dollars of stuff I had already paid for and had UPS return it to them. They then lied on the manifest notes saying" customer refused delivery". I was not home at the normal time the UPS man comes. I had to sign for the pkg. I am now in the process of adding up everything and submitting to my banks involved. I can only dispute charges from memory and some back up on my laptop. Any suggestions from anyone other than to hire an attorney to go after the money?

This site is a joke compared to Gilt, RueLaLa and OneKingsLane. They are having a sale today with "Exclusive Ave Six Furniture" and they are claiming the retail prices are 3x what they really are. The same exact furniture (same brand etc) sells at WALMART for the same "sale" price they have. They are claiming a Ave Six Chaise retails for $900 when it retails for $399. Don't trust this site at all stick to the ones who are actually honest about the designers they carry.

It was the first time I ever ordered anything from this site and my first purchase here already displayed bad customer service. Apparently my order was disregarded not handled properly because only until I emailed where my shipment was, and why it did not even reach the first step, did I ever receive any notification. And it was because of my question that it was finally put to the first step. That is terrible customer service especially since this was already charged to my credit card days ago when I had purchased this item. The fact that my first purchase was not accounted for and that it was me who had to take action for my item to be shipped and not HAUTELOOK tells a lot about your customer service. The email I received did not apologize for anything either, it was just a straight up email telling me that my item had finally been shipped out right after I complained where my shipment was. Please pay more attention to your customers, terrible service. I'm unsatisfied with HAUTELOOK and plan on letting others know about my case.
Why the heck do I bother to pay for shipping when they never do anything about my order in the first place.

I have been shopping at HL for years, long before Nordstrom Rack bought it. I love it. Recently, they changed a website feature. It used to be that if you were browsing a paritcular page, you select a size and/or color to narrow the search. Then, when you click on an item to look at more detail and perhaps add it to your cart, when you come back to the page you were on, your settings were still in place and you would be taken to the location on the page where you left off. Awesome. Now, when you return to the page, your settings and location are gone and you're starting over at the top of the page. This is so frustrating. I like to browse quickly in the morning sometimes and I've often made purchases that way, but it takes so much longer and is so irritating that I no longer do that. I'm a HL freak and my friends and daughters know I get skin care and all my clothes there and have for years. Now I'm less inclined to shop because of this change in their website. I find myself shopping less and less on the site.

I've shopped this site for a long time. I've seen them grow from having one sale a day to a site now acquired by big box retailer Nordstroms. I am giving them five stars because compared to some of my other sample site experiences they really are great.
Cons:
-slow shipping times. On average, I wait just a tiny bit longer for things from hautelook. They are clear about this upfront spit doesn't make me upset but I would never purchase from here for an event or gift that was time sensitive.
-some items I receive have seemed like customer returns or have been defective. This is only something I noticed after Nordstroms came on the scene. Prior to that-this never happened.
Pros:
-customer service is wonderful. In the times that I have contacted them regading defective items--I was able to return them for free. Do not worry- they will work with you on this. Others sites- like Ideeli are horrific to deal with.
-I rarely received the wrong item. It has happened once.
-the prices are good compared to gilt. I sometimes find a lower price on ideeli-but it's a crapshoot ordering from them. 7 out of 10 times I order from ideeli I get the wrong item.
I would definitely recommend them.

The variety of the merchandise is not bad but the customer service is unbelievably bad! I bought a bag, weeks later I get an email with a tracking number. I call the post office to track the number and they tell me that the tracking number is from two years ago(2008). I send 32 emails(not a figure of speech, I actually did send 32 emails in two weeks) and I get two precooked answers that I have to wait and that the package will finally arrive finally, I call Hautelook HEADQUARTERS! Talk to one of the MANAGERS(!)and she tells me that the package is lost and she will give me refund after 23 days of waiting for the bag! Absolutely horrible! Go on Gilt and beyondtherack they have amazing customer service, the packages arrive within two weeks max and the customer service actually DOES HAVE some sense of responsibility.

Hautelook customer service is nonexistent since they were bought be Nordstrom. Recently, I bought a pair of sweats and they sent me a dress. Inside the package (that was addressed to me) I found the packing slip for another customer. To me, its clear that they slapped the wrong address sticker on the package. I called customer service and the gal on the other end explained that I would have to send the item back and get a refund on it. Then I can go ahead and reorder the correct item. I would have to pay for the shipping back to them. As I was talking to her, it dawned on me that the refund would be for the item in the package... not the item I ordered and had already been charged for. The dress costs half price of the sweats so obviously I have a problem with this as well as paying for shipping on a mistake Hautelook made. On top of that they were unwilling to send the correct item though it was their mistake. It was clear that the customer service rep didn't believe me. I told her I would snap a picture of the item and the packing slip to prove I was telling the truth. She told me that it didn't matter. No exceptions could be made even in cases where Hautelook is to blame. I am out the money I spent. I won't do business with Hautelook, Nordstrom, or Nordstrom Rack as I understand they all have the same policy. I told the customer service rep that they have lost my business forever because they wouldn't work with me on a lousy $60 purchase. To add insult to injury she told me they didn't want customers like me. Once again implying I was lying. What a horrible company.

I'm surprised they're associated with Nordstrom. This is so far from Nordstrom's stellar CS.
If you don't mind waiting 3~5 weeks for an order and having funds held up for the longest time only to be returned a month later, this is the site for you. The deals are indeed amazing and when things are going good, they will send you the "right" items within the time it allots itself (2~3weeks). But speaking from personal experience, bad experiences far outshone the good ones.
What grinds my gear the most: Hautelook will run out of inventory yet still allow people to purchase items.
The customer will receive a confirmation, and the email will dupe said customer to believe the items will be shipped. What will happen instead, is 3~5 weeks of complete nothing, with your funds still held up in the air. Customer will dutifully wait till the 3 week point and contact CS.
Hautelook CS will apologize, mentioning that inventory is most likely OOS -- BUT, if said customer is willing to wait a week, they will update customer. Otherwise they will refund you.
I know the prices are tempting, and if you really feel the brand, it might be worth a gamble.
But other than that, stay clear of Hautelook.

I purchased a pair of sneakers on this website and chose PayPal for my payment. I was surprised that when I checked my bank account, it charged the amount of my purchase into my checking account instead of my PayPal credit. I called Nordstroms which is the owner of the website and the customer service informed me that they don't use PayPal credit and that choosing PayPal for payment will automatically charge the account that it's linked to. Now my Paypal is linked to me checking account and I didn't intend to pay using that account. I wanted to use Paypal to defer the payment and be billed later. I ended up with overdraft charges because of the transaction. Nordstrom should have put a disclosure in the website that they do not use Paypal credit. My argument is, if my intention is to use my checking account why would I use a third party as conduit. I think they are being deceptive and also misleading consumers by using Paypal as method of payment just to ride in to the popularity of it and to drum up their dying business. I also encountered very condescending Nordstroms customer service personnel during the dispute. Beware of Hautelook.com website.

As a loyal customer of Nordstrom, I was really excited to learn about Hautelook.
And when I saw the items on the site I was excited. I recently moved and liked all of the home items, particularly the color of a sheet set.
I ordered the sheet set on Hautelook and when it was delivered it was the wrong item, a duvet cover instead (same color).
I was very upset because I was really excited about those sheets. When I called Hautelook customer service, they were not helpful and non sympathetic to the fact that they shipped the wrong item. And there were no more in stock to send me the right item.
I was really sold on the color so I kept the wrongly sent duvet cover and returned the duvet cover I bought locally. I assumed the duvet cover and sheets were close to the same price. So it wouldnt have really mattered anyway.
A few days ago, the same sheet set and duvet cover were posted on Hautelook where I learned that the duvet cover cost $15 and the sheet set I bought was $79. I called to ask for a refund for the difference, where I was told it was very unlikely (in almost a laughable attitude).
I am really disappointed as Nordstrom is known for their customer service. For something that is originally Hautelook's problem, I expected more.
I will not be shopping with them anymore and will not recommend them to any friends.

This is happening more and more with FACEBOOK SPAMS! Everyone needs to write FB and tell them to stop with their spamming because it is compromising my e-mail address and my credit cards. I have had numerous AMAZON CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD SINCE THIS SHOWED UP ON MY CREDIT REPORT!
