I actually love Hautelook. I mainly buy kids clothes from here, and I think it is awesome that they have a return policy, which is so important with children. You really never know how things are going to fit, especially if you're trying new brands -- as Hautelook often showcases brands you may not know about. Their shipping takes longer than other flash sales sites, but I really don't mind. And I've never waited more than 3 weeks for anything. I have never had a bad experience buying or returning merchandise.
Sometimes you can find good deals, but 75% (3 out of 4) of my orders have either arrived with missing items or one a pair of sandals that broke after being worn 5 times. I will say that their customer service has been very good every time. This most recent order was just the last straw because I can't be running to Nordstrom Rack (which is not even in my city) to return stuff all the time.
I have bought items on 10 different occasions and I have received 9 and I just started purchasing only this past Nov/2012. The prices are cheaper than retail or comparable to other sites though they might be a season or 2 behind. I have much more confidence with them than Beyond The Rack. Definitely wasted my dollars in that site. Only complaint is that I can not purchase certain things that are for whatever reasons, they can not deliver or ship to Canada where I reside.

I order regularly from this website, and I just want to say each time I had a wonderful experience, minus the customs/taxes Canada must pay by law. The prices are still great, with that said. The only issue I have ever experienced, was when I ordered a pair of jeans that came defective. They that had holes in them and were missing tags. I emailed them, they gave me a free shipping label to print out, on top of that they refunded me all my $$ including shipping. I mean, that was awesome how they would do that seeing how it was their fault, but it sucks how the deals are timed, because I won't ever encounter that same pair of jeans.

The only time so buy from HauteLook.com is when they have flash sales for a couple jewelry designers I like. So I am buying merchandise I am familiar with. I have had fairly good experiences buying from them, although I really hate the way your shopping cart times out. The thing to know about these flash sales (and this is true for all outlet sites like this) is there are items that are truly on sale styles from previous seasons, or designs that have been discontinued and items that are made for specifically for outlet stores and flash sales. I have not bought fake goods from hauteLook (that I am aware of), but when you see the same items appear on each and every flash sale it's a clear sign that those are the "fake sale" click bait items. So you need to know your merchandise. I have returned items to HauteLook without any problem, and have gotten my return shipping paid for when something was damaged in shipping.

I ordered an Urban Decay eye shadow palette for like $10 which is basically a steal. However, that was on June 5th... it's not June 21st, and I JUST got a confirmation saying my order will be shipping. I contacted customer service about a few days ago, and got no response just trying to find details about my order. I feel like the price just isn't worth it, It still doesn't have tracking info on it... so only the label has been created but it still hasn't shipped yet, very frustrating. Never had to wait this long for anything I've ever bought online. I would never recommend Haute Look to anyone, unless they don't care if they get their stuff ever.

Caution needed here! Regular retail prices are often exaggerated. Product descriptions inaccurate or not there-no one seems to proof/check at all. I have received substitutions and yes did receive credit and kept the item. Shipping is extremely slow. It was explained to me (by customer service) that the product was shipped to them, repackaged and then sent to me. You could direct order through Ebay and get it faster from Chinese manufacturer yourself. Unless you see mainstream familiar brands, I would advise shopping around. I find it hard to believe that this company is affiliated with the Nordstrom Brand.

Although, I really think you can get great deals on this site, it's extremely frustrating to shop there. First off, as soon as a new sale started most of the items I like are already "on hold," which I think is a terrible idea, by the way. Secondly, when you're trying to shop around and add items to your cart, you're basically timed! They give you 15 minutes for each items, so you have to rush in order to complete the checkout. You don't even have the chance to think for a moment if you really want that item or the other! So, frustrating! I just placed my first order on there, but I don't think I'll be returning again unless they change that timer crap! It's as if you go to a department store and you constantly have a sales associate behind you're back saying "So, are gonna check out now? Huh?! Hurry up before it's gone! C'mon, let's go!" Lol Now, try to imagine that... that's pretty much what it's like.

Have purchased several pieces of jewelry from this site. All crap... gold plated junk from China... there are nice items on there. You will pay big bucks for them, the clothes... look like surplus stuff and not well made... sometimes a "designer or name brand" has a "sale"... but, just not worth wading through the junk to get something you can get at the dollar store...

I read about this site on O magazine and it was named an editor's choice. They have a limited selection of sizes but a great range of designer brands. This site does have some great deals. The shipping can take forever. However on several occasions, I've received the wrong item. It's really frustrating since they do not have the one I ordered in stock. And a lot of these items involved me repeatedly checking for them to available. It's annoying to spend 30 minutes or so trying to order something and then to have something different arrive.

Watch your wallet! Refunds and returns are often a problem, and if you don't fight for it or miss it, kiss it goodbye. I thought anything Nordstrom was supposed to have great customer service. Not even close!

I recently got my first shipment from Hautelook! I bought over $250.00 worth of the balm cosmetics for $100.00! Everything arrived within a few weeks, together, and original as described products! Love love love this site!

So I was looking online for sites like bluefly.com that have great deals, but with "real" items unlike e-bay. Anyway, so I came across hautelook.com and I'm very happy with it. I've ordered tons of stuff, for example, leather boots, watches, sports clothes, and dress clothes from the website and I have no real complaints except the delivery time. However, looking at how much I save - the wait time doesn't really matter. More importantly, the stuff is real and I can vouch for this because I have clothing and items from the same brands.
Cons: I've heard the customer service is a bit iffy, but I haven't had to call them about anything and I've made 10+ orders.
Conclusion: I really like the hautelook.com and the site has good stuff that comes up, so keep your eyes out for em!

I ordered a ring early this morning & just received an email from Haute.com saying it had been shipped. A tracking # was also provided. So much for the numerous comments on the slow shipping, or maybe I just got lucky!

Good deals if you pay attention... not everything is good quality or good price. I do have to agree with other reviews, fulfillment is really poor (yes, I read the fine print). They receive their items from the manufacturer which takes a lot of time and then they ship from their warehouse. It often takes a month or more before you receive your order. Only once did I receive a shipment sooner. So, order for the season ahead! Also, customer service could be a lot better... they just tell you what they need to to get you off the phone. If you're really patient, worth the wait.

Customer service flat out lies to you about shipping of products. Since it was my first purchase from hautelook I wanted to make sure that i received items in time so incase I didn't like it(or in my case, if the shoes didn't fit right) I could return it within the 30 day return policy that they have. Before I made my purchase I spoke to a customer service representative who assured me that I would receive the items in the time frame that they specified for that particular product. So I went ahead and I ordered the shoes 3 weeks ago which should have been here by now. Last week they sent me a tracking number for the order which still hasn't been updated. It has been 7 days since the label for UPS was created and the item still hasn't been picked up from their facility or shipped out. What annoys me the most is why Nordstrom would be affiliated with a company like Hautelook and ruin its reputation.

I waited a month for my coat to ship even though shipping estimate was 7-10 days and then they just sent an email a month later saying they had lower inventory than they thought. It's bad enough to underestimate shipping by almost a whole month, but underestimating inventory on top of that and not at least giving me some kind of incentive to keep shopping with them is just dumb.

Never again! Ordered an inexpensive ring to try out the site. It never came! Emailed with no answer, called and waited until wait time was 1 min., then was prompted that wait time had changed to 3 min., then 11 min. I opted for call back. The phone rang, then no one was there. This is a total rip off site. Do not waste time or money. I will report them to consumer fraud here in Phoenix.

I have purchased over 50 items, over a thousand dollars in value. Initially, it was satisfactory service. However, in the past month I have had two disappointing incidents. I was sent the absolute wrong item, twice. Wrong item, wrong size, wrong color. Obviously, someone is being a bit careless. What sent me over the edge was the e-mail reply from their so-called customer service... "Sorry for your string of bad luck." Really?! So ordering from you is just a game of luck?! If I ever said that at my job, if be fired immediately. I will be deleting this application once my latest issue is resolved, taking my money somewhere where I'll receive proper customer care.

Hautelook uses deceptive pricing to entice their customers. During today's Morphe event, Hautelook claimed Morphe pallets originally compare at $39.99-44.99 when you can buy these exact same palettes on Morphe's website for $19.99-22.99. Hautelook claims it uses these inflated compare at prices from Morphe product pricing at boutiques or department stores when Hautelook should be looking to the prevailing price of these items, which would most certainly be the pricing from Morphe's own website. There's a huge difference in telling customers they are (falsely) saving $24.99 when they are really only saving $5.99 based off of the company's own website's pricing.

Garbage. Placed an order for a 450 dollar bag marked down to 250. They charged my credit card and didn't ship anything. A month later I ask what's going on with the order and they tell me they oversold and are refunding my money. What a scam. Avoid these bums at all cost.

I ordered two items from the HauteLook sale. The order confirmation informed me it would take 2-3 weeks for my items to ship. After waiting over a 4.5 weeks and not receiving any type of communication from HauteLook or Nordstrom Rack, I sent an email inquiring about the state of my order. Only then was I informed that they were unable to fulfill any of my order. They refunded the money for the order back to my account and gave me a $20 credit to use on my next purchase. This attempt at customer service was certainly "too little too late." In my opinion, it is a very poor business model to not have exact knowledge of how many items are available before a sale begins. I will not be shopping at HauteLook or Nordstrom Rack in the future.

Great deals, but I have had errors in previous orders and it takes an appalling amount of time to ship to canada. For example, I ordered items on Nov 25; it is January 9, and according to the tracking they have sent me, they are somewhere in Alberta. I think this will be my last purchase.

Of all the sample sale sites, hautelook is probably my least favorite in terms of sales. However, I did have a great experience with customer service.
I'd ordered a pair of jeans and watched the delivery status online. The package had been delivered during the day while I was at work. Upon returning home, the package was nowhere to be found (I was slightly worried since I live in an apartment). I called their customer service and the rep was extremely helpful. Their reps are easy to get a hold of, very thorough, and well trained. Luckily, it turned out one of my neighbors had taken in the package during the day.

I order from Nordstrom Rack all the time. Their orders ship within 3 days always. I tried HAUTELOOK, even though shipping takes up to 3 weeks. It was a great deal after all. I called after 3 weeks and was told one item was just marked shipped and the other would take another week. I received the first Love Token item and really love the quality of it. I'm disappointed to find out after my next follow up that the second half of the order will never come. They didn't have enough to fill the orders. Instead of notifying me and returning my money quickly, they did nothing. No notification email or phone call. I had to follow up. I'm not sure I would order from HauteLook again. If I do, I won't hold my breath waiting for the delivery. If it's a good deal and I'm not counting on needing the item perhaps. I hope they get it together. They need someone who will crack the whip and run a tight ship... otherwise it's gonna sink.

Merchandise and prices are good. The site provides good descriptions and user interface. This is a flash site, which requires fast decisions, to grab the best deals. My experiences with customer service has been good; they even tried to track a replacement for an item that was shipped to me in the wrong size. The only real gripe has been the order processing time. Not a big surprise, as they are owned by a sticks and bricks retailer.
