I actually love Hautelook. I mainly buy kids clothes from here, and I think it is awesome that they have a return policy, which is so important with children. You really never know how things are going to fit, especially if you're trying new brands -- as Hautelook often showcases brands you may not know about. Their shipping takes longer than other flash sales sites, but I really don't mind. And I've never waited more than 3 weeks for anything. I have never had a bad experience buying or returning merchandise.
Sometimes you can find good deals, but 75% (3 out of 4) of my orders have either arrived with missing items or one a pair of sandals that broke after being worn 5 times. I will say that their customer service has been very good every time. This most recent order was just the last straw because I can't be running to Nordstrom Rack (which is not even in my city) to return stuff all the time.
If I could give negative stars I would. Their customer service is horrible. I ordered a watch in October. OCTOBER! December came. I asked where the watch was at in time for Christmas. The rep. Said that they were "picking" it in the warehouse and that it should be sent out within a day. 2 weeks passed. 3 weeks passed. Then I was told that they actually did not have inventory for it, and gladly gave me $10 for the inconvenience. They could take their $10 and shove it up their... let's just say no more hautelook. More like NOT LOOK! Buyers stay away from this company. You won't get your stuff and don't even let me start with returning items online. They lost half my stuff and never gave me credit. DONE DONE DONE.

I placed an order for 2 items and because I didn't check out in time, I only got one of my items, yet on checkout it showed that I got both items. I called to complain and the lady on the phone said, I was too slow checking out and if I had bothered to read their terms and conditions I would know this and "that is the way the cookie crumbles". Can you believe someone would say this to a customer?

I was introduced to the site by a friend who had great service and never an issue with her orders. That is the only reason I actually tried the site as i do not feel comfortable ordering online clothes. I am very happy with what I have ordered, the service I received when I had questions. I think you have to be careful and make sure you understand the brands you buy - the items you want - the size charts offered. You take a chance always buying on line since you can not touch or feel. I think this is a great site and will continue to shop... cautiously.

I placed an order with them November 21 for an $18 acrylic case to hold some makeup in. Then with shipping and tax I ended up spending close to $30! It would of been cheaper to just go to the store and get one. But here it is exactly a month later and I have yet to receive my package. They said I would get it by December 17th with seems crazy because I ordered it in November but I was okay with it. Then I received an email saying they shipped it out on dec 16. How they expect me to get it by the 17th is beyond me. But I'm STILL waiting for it. This site is a waste. Yes it has some cool stuff but it isn't worth the wait by any means.

They pose as a bargain site but they are not. They use deceiving tactics.
I bought 2 chairs through them, supposedly manufactured by Gold Coast Furniture. They were on sale for $300, and their original price was $600. When they arrived yesterday I noticed that they are not from Gold Coast Furniture - that is the name of the "event" under which they hide the real manufacturer's name: Skyline Furniture. Skyline sells the same chair at Target, Amazon and other places, for $300. So the "sale" is also a lie. I bought a full price item from a manufacturer whose name was not the one advertised but they tricked me into thinking I was buying a better quality item on sale. AND the items are not returnable. Deceptive and outrageous. Do not buy from them.

At first I loved this app. So many great deals. But it look a month to receive my first order when the estimated delivery date specified upon ordering said only 10-14 days. My last order was placed on November 5th and I'm still waiting for my item to be shipped! Again, when I purchased the item the estimated delivery date said only two weeks. I will never order from here again because I am not waiting a month or more for my purchased items to arrive. Very disappointed!

Why should I have to sign in to a site to view its contents? This is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. I am not going to give you my info, just so you can hassle me with emails, or solicitation over the phone or regular mail.

I ordered cosmetics that were way over-priced and not as described. There is one particular brand to be aware of that they sell. It is called "Statements by J". This stuff is pure crap and overpriced. I ordered a sunburst mirror that was described as a $300 mirror. It arrived in a poorly packed box that was completely torn up. The mirror was so cheap. It was something you would find at a cheap discount store. I was able to get my refund but had to go through several hoops to do so. Customer service was prompt but it is the cheap products they are selling and advertising at a much higher retail that really yanked my chain. Be very careful in selection of merchandise from this site!

The quality of some of the merchandise is horrendous. Some of the stuff looks like it has been sitting in their warehouse under a pile of garbage for years. And... the customer service leaves much to be desired. I'm now waiting on the phone for 48 minutes to speak with a supervisor over a $10 credit. They keep emailing me to say that they are not receiving my emails-so how do they know that i am emailing them? I don't think I will shop here again.

Buyer beware. Hautelook aka Nordstrom advertises a product for sale which it does not have. Once they take your money they then try to order it from the vendor. In the event you actually receive the item, it will take weeks! If somehow you dont good luck trying to get your money back or get anywhere with customer service. Buyer beware!

What a joke! They tell you that you only have 15 minutes to checkout and then the merchandise will be returned to stock. Well, I been waiting over an hour now for hold merchandise to be returned or sold and it still says it is on hold. I called customer service and she said at 15 minutes it will ask if you still want to hold and you can conceivably keep hitting that button all day. WHAT in the heck is the point of even having the 15 minute timer if you are going to do it that way. She had no answer.

So sorry about this, had ordered from them & been satisfied until my last order. Ordered on Oct. 2, notified of shipping on Oct. 29 & my AmEx was charged. USPS has NEVER received the package. Electronic label still sitting in Fontana CA. I've emailed Hautelook several times & chatted twice-last time was Friday, Elizabeth said she'd contact me by the end of the day but didn't. So, still no answers. It's 4 bottles of nail polish, wanted them for Thanksgiving. They are losing a customer over less than $30 of mercandise.

HauteLook is a pretty decent site. I've ordered a pair of Keds for an extremely low price plus, they were promptly shipped to my house. I occasionally look through their site to see if anything catches my eye but usually it's just repeats from a couple weeks ago. For example, Jessica Simpson hair extensions are almost always for sale. I wish it wasn't selective rather, like an online department store.

2 orders in 3 months, TWO major screw ups. Seems they deal with many overseas vendors who are irreputable nd once they take your money you are at the mercy of other people. Deliveries not on time, held up for unknown reasons with no firm dates, merchandise coming in damaged, customer service people who are sweet as can be with no power or authority to really help of give refunds or answers. Done with this company and they can stick their 10% discount they offered where the sun dont shine, Go to Joss and main or a million other similar websites

Exactly what Amanda K. Said. I am a Nordstrom card holder and Hautelook cancelled my account with no notice (no letter or email) due to my purchase to return ratio. I had to call them to find out after I wasn't able to log into my account today. I shopped with them exclusively for almost 10 years and spent tens of thousands. Like any consumer shopping online, I would purchase multiple items and sizes and return what didn't work to my local Nordstrom Rack. Because the events only last for so many days, it's not like you can go back for an item if the size you purchased doesn't fit. So fine, change your return policy and let customers know they need to keep a certain percentage of their order so they can be more selective of their purchases. But to make this rule and then blacklist everyone who violated said rule before it was even effective?!? Absurd. Nordstrom has lost a loyal customer and credit card holder.

I've purchased a few things from Hautelook. They now offer refunds but... many of things I've purchased have fallen apart, and one time they sent a 3 month old kiddie shirt, which should have been a 4 year old shirt. So then subtract the $8 ship fee BOTH WAYS, (no you can't ship back your own way, you HAVE to use their way), i ended up with a few pennies. UGH. Other times, the material on the clothing has been kinda trashy. At first it was fun, but I'm tired of it the return policies. There are much easier places to shop, get a good deal, and be able to return things for the original refund. Wtf.

Mixed feelings about this site. They offer more furniture, rugs & home decor than other sites, but none of it can be returned. So far I haven't received anything defective or damaged in shipping, but I don't spend as much as I might on this site because none of the things I buy can be returned. But my biggest beef is with the interminable wait to receive an item. Recently bought a coffeemaker from Hautelook because mine had just broken and I needed a new one. Big mistake. Two weeks + later, it still hasn't shipped. Everything I've bought on Ruelala has been shipped within a day or two. Not saying I'll never buy anything from Hautelook again, but I've had a more positive experience with other sites.

I have been a customer of Hautelook for many years. Something has happened to their company that has adversely affected their ability to meet customers needs.
Out of the last 4 orders I have placed there, only one has been delivered. Two are in some limbo as I kep getting emails spologizing for the delay but offering no explanation. The 4th was just cancelled after having to wait for a delayed delivery. The reason? They miscalculated their inventory. I could ave gotten this merchandise for a little more and have had it by now. I am pretty screwed about not having boots for an event for this week end!
I, for one, will no longer be doing business with this company. There are many other discounted online places to shop.

They've messed up my order twice! By the time you get your stuff which is usually forever the item is most likely sold out and all they say is sorry and offer a 10 hautelOok credit (after the second time). Disaster!

I've only ordered one thing from here and it arrived after about 2 1/2 weeks - something I'd known already. Aside from that, their prices aren't the best for what they offer as similar brands tend to crop up on other sample sales sites. I also have ran into things I might have wanted to buy, but ended up not because of their no returns. And personally, their roster of brands just doesn't appeal to me but they do feature more cosmetics, skin and other items more than the other sample sites.

This company is the worst company, I have ever seen. Ones they get hold of your credit card, your are finish. Be aware of this company before you order anything from them. Even if their item is cheap, which is not, compare to other site like they will chew you off. I had ordered something last year, the order were wrong, I was promised it be credited back to my credit card but it was a big lies, instead they said it will be credited to their account for me to use. I have tried using the credit which is which about $195.95. Now, they new rule that you have to supply them with credit card before you can use it. Please be aware of this before you submit any information to them. They are rip off company

Sometimes they have incredible deals-- like my Jimmy Choo sunglasses. Sometimes not some much--like my green dragon jacket that wasn't even close to the picture on the website.
Overall with a little persistence their customer service does the right thing.

Constantly tried to get in touch with member care. Tried e-mailing them, messaging them on twitter, instagram, and facebook and still nothing. FYI I placed my order a month ago. Hautelook "member care" is a $#*!ing joke. Go $#*! yourselves.

I placed an order 11/1/13 with an original delivery set to be no later than 11/22/13 (I paid for 3-7 day shipping) & without notification to me my delivery date had been changed to 12/2/13 (over a month since order was placed). I contacted member care through the chat option online and was told my order still had not shipped, but it should by next week. I asked fot a refund and will never shop here again!

I have only good things to say apart from shipping times. Its may be because they have to wait for other companies to send them the product. Other than that everything was up to the mark. Had no issues. Customer service was incredible. I will shop again from this website.
