Our technician saved the day as the first tech scheduled was not available. Nizar came on time, was very professional, communicative and worked hard and fast. He listened an carried out our wishes to hang the tv on our wall. He went above and beyond helping move furniture back in place. Can't say enough good things about Nizar!
Don't provide invoices. Customer service useless, both chat and on phone. I have sent three requests for an invoice to be emailed to me. Tech was here over a week ago and still no invoice.
I used HelloTech to install a smart thermostat. Having read a review online regarding hidden charges I confirmed with the sales consultant that I did not have a C wire and that we would need to install the PEK. I was assured that this was fine, the cost would be $99. I even referenced the review I had read but was assured that everything would be fine.
Exactly as per the other reviewer, the Technician arrived, the lack of C wire was not on the work order, and the costs suddenly increased from $99 to $218. The Technician started work while I was trying to resolve this issue, the 'very complicated job' was completed WITHIN FORTY FIVE MINUTES, and he had left by which time I was still trying to get some sense from HelloTech as to what had happened, and my card had already been charged for $218. I FEEL SCAMMED BY HELLOTECH SALES PRACTICES. BE WARNED.
Gave me a false date of installation so I would use them. I got a call from them on a Thursday 2 days before my scheduled appointment asking if I could be available because they had a technician that could come at 2pm. Clearly they had no tech in my area because his profile said his location was 5 hours from me. At 1:30 I received another text saying he had canceled and what times would work for me? I put in another 5 hours and they said they wanted other days! I said then Just leave it at the Saturday at 10am that's already set. I got no response. The next day I get a text from them again stating that they cannot locate a tech to come out and can I give them more dates and times that would basically work for them. I feeling concerned that my original date "set by them" was not happening now I contacted them again and asked if I was still set for Saturday 10am? Once again they responded with can you give us an additional 3 days and what hours will work for me? I said Saturday at 10 works for me and I've had that time set for 3 days. If this is how your business works I would've appreciated you telling me that upfront and giving me the option to decide if that would work for me or not. Today Saturday at 2:15 I just received a text stating that my appointment has been canceled. Nothing else. I just called to speak with a live representative to make sure that I wouldn't be charged a service fee of any kind because they said nothing! This is honestly one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever had to deal with. This company and its "services" are disgraceful.
I would highly recommend Jonathon. I am an older man... he was very patient, answered my questions and successfully completed the project
Antwan, the technician is very smart, patient, skilled, polite and professional. I 100% recommend HelloTech to anyone who needs any service from this company.

Have you ever had a techie come to your house without tools? I did, he said he had to go to Ace hardware to get a tool. He came back 1.5 hours later and promised to do the job the next week on Tuesday at 10 am. At noon he called and apologized and said he'd was finishing a job and would be there soon. At 3:30 PM he called and rescheduled for the following day at 10 am. Well at 10 am he called and said he lost his appointment book and as soon as he found it he would come. At 2:35 he called and said he would be there within the hour. I told him to forget about it because he was still an hour away. He called me back, I explained to him that I wasted the whole day waiting for him, he became argumentative, he actually said so what, you've already wasted the whole day what's a couple of more hours. The beast part is HelloTech charged me twice. I called the credit card Company and had the charges remove and sent an email to the company and told them what happened. They immediately sent an email saying they would send someone else over and to give then 2 dates to work on. I did, it took them a week to tell me that there was a new tech coming to my house at 11am. At 10:38 I got an email from them that the tech cancelled the appointment,
I would never hire these clowns ever again.

Guy came early, did the job asap and efficiently. 10/10
Hello Tech has a very slick website with lots of happy customer comments that assures potential clients that they offer "The best tech solution, ready to help you - anytime, anywhere."
If only that were true. The experience was a complete waste of time. The tech showed up 2 hours late. He was not prepared to do nor did he actually do the job requested which was to replace 2 old Airport routers in the attic with new Wifi 6 mesh routers. While HelloTech assures its potential clients that their techs are fully vetted it appears from my experience that it's not true. It turns out that the tech they sent did not feel comfortable going up in the attic. So what I thought was just a waste of time got even worse when the next morning I get an email receipt that my credit card has been charged for a job that was "completed" when in fact it was not.
The folks at HelloTech apparently believe that sending out auto-emails is the same as real customer service. I got plenty of emails thanking me for the order. Emails to let me know the tech would be in contact shortly. An email 30 minutes prior to the appointment time to let me know the tech was on the way and a link so I could track his location. The link showed a location that was not real. The tech finally called 30 minutes after the appointment time to let me know he'd be there in 20 minutes and then showed up 90 minutes later. One hour later he left having spent 60 seconds in the attic and then advising me he did not feel comfortable doing the job.
The fact that the job was not completed was disappointing enough. What makes the whole experience even more surreal is the obligatory followup email with a receipt for payment and customer survey with links to post my comments. So for the record I'm going to what HelloTech failed to do. They asked me to post my comments and so I did. I hope that my experience will counsel other potential Hello Tech customers to proceed with caution.
My advice to potential clients of Hello Tech...Call the Geek Squad. That's what I wished I had done.
Had 9am apt. They left my home at 851 saying I wasn't home. No knock at the door no ring of my doorbell. No call nor text. Just cancelled. Geek Squad wouldn't do this
I have to say they r the least reliable people I have ever worked with. I had an appt and theey changed the spray and time for a week. They show up and put together ONE of the 3 pieces of furniture and leave they try to get us to cancel so they can do it on the side. We call them and they say someone will be here the next day to do and and here I am waiting AGAIN for an 9-11am appt.GUESS WHAT A NO SHOW AGAIN. I moved from NY-FL and my furniture is in a BOX YOU GUYS ARE TERRIBLE AND UNRELIABLE
I booked service with HelloTech in October 2021 to connect my television cable, a DVD player and a Firestick to a new television I'd been gifted. TV service and the 2 devices were operating normally on the older, smaller set and we wanted to change over to the bigger set. The tech who showed up ["James"] held forth at great length about his claimed experience and expertise, but when he left we had neither television reception nor a functioning DVD player, and the only thing working was the Firestick. I was billed a total of $158.19 for the service call and the "membership fee" and after numerous efforts to secure a refund under their "30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee" I was left worse off than I was before James' arrival and am out the $158 dollars. Fortunately our cable provider sent a tech out 2 hours after I called them and he was able to get everything working in about 30 minutes, a good bit of which was spent undoing James' work, and for which there was no charge. I am a retired County Probation Director and am 73 years old, and can provide reference numbers for the HT charges to my VISA card on request.
Tip for consumers:
Before hiring another service provider for technical assistance, try your cable or satellite service first. Failing that, I'd avoid HelloTech for the reasons stated in my review.

I bought a TV from target and use target mounting service which is Hello Tech to mount my TV. They sent a technician out by the name of Justin to mount my TV. I should have known when he lost his keys in my front yard and was looking for his cell phone that he had also dropped in my yard that it was going to be a horrible experience! Justin, added the TV mount on the wall crooked and too low. Once the TV was up on the wall, he noticed he forgot to attach the cords! Them be attempted to take the TV down, but was struggling todo so. He was hitting the TV on my wall and also on my Telephone jack which caused him to damaging my TV. Then he proceeded to call HelloTech to say that the TV was damaged during delivery which was a lie and that happened all on January 20. Today is March 15th the date of this review and I'm still trying to get HelloTech to resolve this issue! However, all the supervisors and anyone in the resolution team refused to speak to me are give me call back! The last time I spoke with someone from the resolution team was in February when he asked for pictures of the TV and any other pictures I might have. Once I sent those in he stop responding, I then called in only for them to say he was no longer with the company!

Beware and record and take pictures of everything!

Moe is the tech guy that came to our house and was right on time and quick He also explained some things we could do with our alarm
This tech showed up on time, was knowledgeable, fast and got the job done! It's rare these days so I really appreciated it.
My finance purchased me a new 75 inch tv and paid $400+ to have the tv mounted above my fireplace. We paid for the tv mount in the price. The tech arrived one hour late without the mount, he asked if we had one although we paid for it with the service price. He left, was gone for over an hour, upon his return he stated he was unable to mount it above the fireplace. Although we paid extra for it. He mounted the tv crooked, cords and plugs were left hanging after several emails to them they sent another tech out for quality assurance. That tech informed us, there wasn't anything he could do to straighten the mount. We should have been refunded for this service. My fiancé also signed up for a subscription through them, after canceling the subscription knowing we would never use their services again. He was continuously charged $19.99 for a subscription that had been canceled months prior. As a result he was forced to cancel his debit card in order to stop them from fraudulently charging him. Their service is a rip off, they use third party contractors without verifying they can properly mount a tv. We were robbed, I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Save yourselves some money and mount your tv yourself or hire a company that stands by the quality of their work instead of robbing consumers accounts.

Tv mount and installation
Dwight was great installing our 55" TV. He was precise in measuring, drilling and installing the mount, careful in mounting the TV and when he left, I had TV and sound perfection!
This place has labor for mounting televisions super high. They are way to expensive and want you to purchase things that are cheaper outside of them.
Hello Tech notified me the night before that they couldnt find a tech to mount my tv after i scheduled days earlier. They are not reliable.
I found HelloTech through the Google Connected Home website, as they are recommended as a Nest Pro. What a mistake! They are completely incompetent when it comes to Nest products. Why do they offer installation of products that they can not properly install?
Long story short, I cancelled my appointment the day before they were set to arrive after speaking to my assigned technician.
And now, for the long story. Brace yourself, the entire experience was a waste of time. Luckily, I found another company that had no problems correctly installing all of my Nest products.
To begin, they absolutely will NOT install the Nest Hello doorbell unless you already have a wired doorbell. I found this a bit unreasonable, as Google sells the Nest Hello Doorbell Indoor Power Adapter. Said adapter is made specifically for people that do not have existing wiring for a doorbell. So, I purchased one. I used their live chat to ask about this when I first booked the appointment, and the person I spoke to had no idea what the adapter even was. After a lot of waiting around, she let me know that she made a note on my appointment, which I had already done when I booked it. This left me feeling uneasy and I should have just cancelled then.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when the technician called me the day before to advise me that they do not do any work that involves the use of a ladder, as they are not supplied with one. Installing security cameras seems impossible without a ladder. Also, they won't do any electrical work. Please keep in mind that the Nest cameras are not wireless. So what would I be paying for exactly?
Hellotech should be removed from Google's list of Nest Pros.

They should take this off their site and if they can get u this then great, but I haven't received same day service in years
All I needed was a one time tech visit. I never agreed to a membership. Since it has been past 30 days I'm stuck paying all year. Dishonest as hell.
