Our technician saved the day as the first tech scheduled was not available. Nizar came on time, was very professional, communicative and worked hard and fast. He listened an carried out our wishes to hang the tv on our wall. He went above and beyond helping move furniture back in place. Can't say enough good things about Nizar!
Don't provide invoices. Customer service useless, both chat and on phone. I have sent three requests for an invoice to be emailed to me. Tech was here over a week ago and still no invoice.
Simplisafe home security said just call them $79 fee. Spent 2 1/5 hours on hold, finally paid up front, no show twice then they sent e-mail they were cancelling appointment. Rip off, don't trust these guys.
I have been using geek squad for about three years to keep my laptops running smoothly. I looked at hello tech as an alternative. The person on the chat, Justine Y., was totally unprepared to answer any questions. Hello Tech is not ready for prime time. Spending lots of Marketing dollars, but can't convert leads.
Hired them to change TV Mount from static to full tilt and hide the wires. They remounted TV several inches from where it had been so that TV now overlaps the doorframe. The cable they attached to cable box is so short that box can only sit on floor. Called same day and requested correction. They scheduled two appointments and did not keep either. Called three more times and received empty promises, then got an email saying they are unable to provide me service because "there are no technicians in (my) area." Don't waste your money. Call a reputable company
First, they promised a same day visit. Canceled. Then, asked my avail On Weds. Strike 2- they canceled again after I took time off work.
If your repair is not urgent, and you don't mind speaking with Filipino call centers, go ahead and give them a call! They'll send a tech out, eventually…
The guy was professional and was great service, however he told me next time go though Walmart and save 80.00 though them not use this company. Also they cornered me into a subscription service and hard to cancel its 19.99 a month pretty much told me I'm screwed until renewal a year later.

Christian communicated from the moment he signed into my account until he was finished and disconnected the remote access. I saw him check many connections and he updated some software including drivers. He was very thorough, including going through many pieces of related software to make sure they were at the correct version. He also was expedient, with a fast work pace, which kept the length of my service short.
Where three others had not been able to restore the sound on my laptop, Christian was successful!

I only contacted this company because Xfinity recommended them. They cancel/reschedule appointments with no warning. The select a time on their website is meaningless. If you call into support they say you will get a call back from a different department, and you guessed it. No call back. Please save yourself the headache..
I had two appointments in two days that I waited a total of four hours and no one showed up even though they confirmed the appointment just an hour before.
It seems their technicians don't work for this company so not ever sure their safe to let in. Don't waste your time waiting for them to show up
Mr. Mitchell D Wright Sr arrived on time he was tasked with only installing 1 -TV, however, at my request he installed a second TV on the wall. Was very professional and answered all questions provided to him. He cleaned up after himself. He as well install my(" AP system") and speakers in my ceiling. I look forward to selecting and working with him again
They came in for an instal, but didn't complete the job. 4 phone calls later, and numerous promises that someone was going to come back and finish the job, and NOTHING! Total waste of money. Stay away from these guys
We booked help setting up an Alexa for our sister in a nursing home. Benjamin C was 26 minutes late. He didn't listen to what we wanted, gave conflicting answers to the same question and ultimately, nothing that he said he had fixed worked when we got home. I called the company and asked for a re-do or a refund. They agreed to send a tech again, I insisted it had to be someone different. We'll see how it goes, but at least they didn't try to wiggle out of sending a second person to try again
If you have used HelloTech, please check your credit card for any unexpected reoccurring charges from this company. I made an order months ago but the order was cancelled. Then, I started to get 4.99 per month of charge every month for a membership fee I never enlisted. There is no way to know if you have selected to be their member or not, and I can't find any place to cancel their membership. Thus, recommendation DO NOT USE!
Matt did excellent work! My family and I are so glad to now have super-fast internet speed at end of house that's very far from modem. It's 20 times faster than our wifi! Matt explained things to us so we understand how things work. The new ethernet cable outside our house was installed very neatly and is barely visible. The new ethernet plugs in the 2 interior rooms are positioned at same height as nearby electrical plugs, so this looks neat and professional. Thank you Matt and HelloTech!
I'm 65 yrs old and never have written a bad review until now. Had a confirmed appointment, no show. No text, no call, no email. This has NEVER happened to me ever. Don't walk, run from these people. Do you want them installing something in your home? Going to call my electrician...
Tech was scheduled to install a security system. When he arrived he parked on my grass instead of staying in the driveway. Not a good start. It became very obvious he did not know the first thing about what he was doing. The system included a solar powered yard sign and he became very concerned because he stated he had never had to pair one of those with the gateway. A YARD SIGN! Unbelievably the visit continued its downward spiral from there. After he made four phone calls for advice and two hours into the visit not one single device was installed. I finally told him to leave so I could install the system myself. An hour later I had it up and running.
When I called HelloTech customer service to let them know about the visit the person that answered the phone hung up on me.
Maybe the rest of the country has decent technicians, but eastern North Carolina should avoid HelloTech like the plague.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company is terrible to deal with. After paying for a TV mount service in full they delayed scheduling an appointment with me based on my availability, which was any day at anytime. That cancelled the appointment completely after a week of me waiting. I would recommend never using this company they are 100% bait and switch!
Casey was on time, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He explained things every step of the way. He was particularly good interacting with Xfinity agent in setting up my new modem. He asked Xfinity if they were offering any specials which resulted in faster internet speed and my monthly Xfinity bill dropping from $220 a month to $160 a month. He also wisely suggested that I hide the wires in the wall in my TV installation. It looks great.
I wanted to get my internet set up a week ago. The tech came and left the job unfinished. When I tried to get a refund or another tech to get sent out, they kept giving me the run around, saying they were "escalating it". I never received a refund and I had to look for another tech to fix my issue. The tech from task rabbit got the job done in 10 minutes for half the price. Do yourself a favor, go with someone else. Their customer service is abysmal!

The HelloTech service rep (Mark) was on time and he did an outstanding job! Techs liked Mark are the reason why I use HelloTech for my technical services. He's a keeper!
My HelloTech experience was great! Joshua came exactly at the scheduled time, got right to work on de-mounting my TV, and was done within 15-20 minutes. I live in a small NYC apartment and he had no problem getting here, called me an hour before giving me a heads up of his arrival time, and was able to get the job done in my little crammed room. He even suggested how to re-mount it better next time and how to fill the holes. I will now use HelloTech for all mounting and de-mounting needs! I used TaskRabbit for my mounting and apparently the holes were drilled in a little deeper than needed.
Zynobia was the best technician we have ever had! She was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and took her time with all of our questions. She is a HUGE asset to Hellotech, so I hope she gets a large Christmas bonus for all she did to help us and representing your company. She drove a long way to get to us, and she was delightful! I will recommend her to anyone I know wanting this service.
Made an appointment for Saturday 10am. No one ever showed up, emailed or called. I had to call the company and the response was they cant get in contact with the technician and wanted me to reschedule for a different day and time. Definitely would not recommend.
Service rep came to fix my universal remote and sync my various tv components. He was in the house for about a half hour. After he left I tried the system and I was back where I started from. There's no way to contact any reps directly. I explained the problem to the customer service number and emailed them the problem…nothing! One email said they would look into it…one week later and still no word! I paid $160 for absolutely nothing and no one at Hello Tex cares. Don't use this company!

I set up the appointment online and they charged me $139 plus $20. The technician went to my mom's home who is older lady he got cash of $139 plus $30 tip. It is over two months I am trying to get my money back but they won't do it and always promise for follow up. Awful service and can't trust them at all.
The tech showed up 30 minutes late. After an hour of drilling 8 holes in my wall I was told she could not complete the task due to metal frames in the drywall. When I called customer service they said they were able to mount to metal in drywall. Now I have to wait 3 days for another tech to come and I'm still waiting to hear from the damage claim department. I do not recommend this company.
