The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

Well, I do understand that the site cannot be aware of all of the auction companies which scam customers on their platform, HIBID allows companies that they know are misrepresenting inventory and/or using shipping schemes to rip off customers, such as WEISS LAKE AUCTIONS LLC, and AUSTIN YORK LLC, which has several auctions a month. There is a reason they do not allow you to review individual auction houses. You can see in the photos the rugs I received. They had been sprayed with malodorous dye/paint, which transferred to my hand when I touched them.
Buying On hI bid has been a lot of fun but recently I've noticed I need to read the fine print carefully on certain Auctions by certain companies cause some of them are charging outrageous buyers premium.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We're glad to hear that you have found great items and deals on HiBid. We understand your concern about buyer's premiums and we strive to educate and highly encourage auctioneers selling on our platfrom to provide transparency in their auction listings. While we try to work closely with auction companies to ensure accurate and fair information, the buyer's premium do vary from auctioneer to auctioneer and it is ultimately determined by their business policies. We encourage our bidders to carefully read the terms and conditions of each auction to understand the fees involved. If you have any specific concerns about a particular auction, please feel free to contact the auctioneer directly for better assistance. We appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy your bidding experiences on HiBid!
Yeah... buyer beware. Mistakes happen, but DONT pass on forgeries or fakes knowingly and expect some one to be able to tell if its real from a 2x2 pic! Best TO STEER CLEAR AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND HEADACHES! Especially watches. ROLEX in particular are MOSTLY FAKE. NO BOX OR PAPERS FAKE FAKE FAKE! Like our $#*! president!
I bid for two lots and won them but I'm a little confuse about scheduling a pickup day since I have not received my invoice for this two items yet.
It is easy to bid on this site. I've had a good experience purchasing items here. Having a few more pictures and more detailed descriptions would be helpful.
Thanks for the feedback, Matthew! We're delighted to hear that bidding has been easy for you. If you ever have specific preferences or requests, feel free to let us know. Happy bidding, and we appreciate your positive review!
Won my bid. Within hours I received an email confirmation of paid in full and they already had my small item packaged and ready to ship. Very organized!
Scam artists. No bids will go through without them calling you saying you didn't hit reserve and buyer's want this much money. Beware they will waste your time.
Home for scammers- allows auction houses to make fake charges to registered
Bidders. Maybe these charges will not be noticed. We did and caught them at it.
BEWARE!
I am a 15 year customer with excellent feedback in every aspect of this process. I have outfit my entire business, sales items and offices with hibid items as well as purchased for personal use. I have had my first horrible experience from a US based auction "Property 1 Vegas LLC". I have tried repeatedly to contact them via various methods and i have been ignored. It was a vacation auction. Stated throughout auction was that I had 18 months to use. I purchased 10 vacations. What it did not state in the auction is that I could only use 1 every 12 months thus making it impossible to use my 10 vacations. This directly contravenes the sellers code (sec D- must disclose details) and was deliberately misleading. I am asking for a refund for the vacations that I cannot possibly use.
Up until this experience I have had nothing but good things to say about the 25 or so auction houses that I have dealt with until now. Not every item was perfect but I genuinely believe that an honest attempt at honesty was made and in I got a good deal in the process. If a moderator reads these comments, then if you could intercede on my behalf that would be appreciated.
Julie
After finding the site and products of interest I had decide to start an account. This was way easier than I had hoped for. No problems what so ever. Looking forward to future auctions.
Very good so far but wish the descriptions were better. Would have bid on more!
Also pick up times were wrong. I waited over an hour after making sure that I was on time
Very good so far but wish the descriptions were better. Would have bid on more!
Never receive the winning bids from multiple auctions from Trice auction. Can't get any communication from the aTrice with phone and email. Because it's HiBid sponsor auction, I called them for help. The only help that received was the Trice auction phone number. Use proxid bid.
Pictures and descriptions were very helpful and items were clearly identified.
Love bidding and getting a great deal, it seems the more people who learn of these auctions, the less deals can be found, but ya find a diamond in the rough some times.
Hello Keith! We appreciate your positive feedback and are thrilled to be a part of your journey in finding those hidden gems. If you ever need assistance or have any questions, feel free to reach out. Happy bidding, and may you continue to uncover those diamonds in the rough!
Always a great experience bidding, payments, and pick-up with this auction house.
Accurate descriptions and will let you know if there is any issue with the lot.
Thank you for you review on one of the auctioneers selling on our platform. We'll make sure to pass this feedback to them. Happy bidding on HiBid!
I won some vinyl albums from Marley Auction in Tennessee, they sent me all but Michael Jackson "Off the Wall". I have sent 3 emails to find out why no response, there is no phone number, no way to get in touch besides email. I paid for Michael but did not receive Michael. AVOID AVOID AVOID They are by far the worst auction house I have ever dealt with. I buy quite a bit off the Texas group and have NEVER had one bit of trouble. The auction houses there are great. Stay away from MARLEY AUCTION IN TENNESSEE!
Yes I won three bids they were fast to collect and charge me shipping after two months and sending texts and e-mails they keep coming up with reasons it did not ship I would say all other auction that I have won on other sites have been great but here is a VERY BAD AUCTION HOUSE
Appears to be fair and keeps moving...just one in question, appeared that I was high bidder but it just shows closed and status. Still have not got my invoice and am beginning to be a little worried
Thank you, Ronald! We appreciate your feedback. If you ever encounter any discrepancies like the one you mentioned, please reach out to our support team. We're here to ensure your bidding experience is smooth and fair. Happy bidding!
Kept getting kicked off the website had to restart multiple times causing losing bids
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with getting kicked off the website. We understand how frustrating it is to lose bids due to repeated restarts.
Technical issues like this can sometimes happen, but we are constantly working to improve the platform’s performance. If you continue to have trouble, please reach out to us for further assistance, and we’ll do our best to help resolve the issue.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope future auctions go more smoothly for you.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
Sally, we've contacted you via private message to address these concerns, we look forward to assisting you with this matter. Thanks, The HiBid Team.
