I spoke to the manager at the hotel where I had a reservation booked with a secondary website. I had to cancel as my son tested positive for COVID 5 days before we were to stay at the hotel for college orientation. I was told by the secondary website staff that the decision to waive the cancellation fee, in this case one night or 207.00, was the hotel manager's. He was never around and when i finally did speak with him he did not care. His name is John and the hotel is the Holiday Inn Express by Binghamton University in NYS. I am also writing a letter to the CEO of Holiday Inn Express to let him know his hotel's policy about COVID. His name is Samuel Kim.
Arrived to find out they canceled my reservation. Charged me full charge the next day. Can't trust them.
