The hosting is OK. The customer service is not great.
after I signed up, I was bombarded with sales calls from web developers and others. I called to find out why my information was being sold. I learned that I would have to pay to keep my information private. The customer service agent did not seem to know what she was doing. it took a long time to explain to her. What I was talking about and why I was upset. She was unsympathetic and left me feeling that HostGator is more concerned about making money than they are about protecting their users privacy.

The HostGator support agent understood what I was asking to be done and she made the changes.
