To host my website and get the free email accounts they offer is the main reason I chose HostGator for my webhosting. It is very disappointing that they discontinued Gator.com and we are forced to either purchase a third party or use WordPress which is the most unfriendly application I have used in my 40 year experience
I have contacted HostGator support several and find that the agents are very impatient and give up without resolving the problem. I have to contact support several times for the same issue in order to piece together my own resolution

It was recommended to me. However the prices have increased massively in the last 12 months but the service has not. The price increase is beyond the level of inflation and I am now shooping for a new host.

Problems occurred through no fault of my own. Instead of fixing them, I'm told I need to go in and fix it myself. REALLY? What the hell am I paying you for if I need to fix issues you created myself? Actively looking for a new provider now...

I chose hostgator and have been working with them for a long time. Changes are being made onto the platform subsequently. Changes are affecting email accounts and so on. Right now 5 of my email accounts are requesting for password. Why is this so? Never encountered such issues before.

The absolute worse service I have ever received. My incoming and outgoing emails were down for an entire week. I called into the customer service on so many occasions and each time I was given a different excuse as to why my emails were not working. The customer service is horrendous. You don't get any real help. They hang up on you and never solve your problem.

I was expecting email saying they fixed it. My site has been having 'virus' issues for some time now & I spoke with someone who said they were escalating the issue. I have yet to hear of a resolution. If you can have someone email me ASAP and leave a number for me to call I would like that.

I have 2 websites but was informed I could only use "sitebuilder" for one of them. I have accepted the explanation but not very pleased. The support person was helpful and friendly.

I paid the due amount on this account and within time too. You raised a ticket and asked me to send a screenshot confirming the payment from my banking app. I have done so and since then I have had no response to my several messages and to a new updated ticket response sent to accounting by your online chat staff member Lyon. I am referring this now, to my solicitor.

I saw online advertising and thought it looked pretty easy to use. It has been so far. I use the website builder which is my downfall cause I'm not good with WordPress. So, I'm suffering between HostGator and Gator.

I can't remember at this point. Areadispatch.com going down has been the second website to go down without any interaction from me. That means someone else did it. Freedomperception.com had its database corrupted without me doing anything. I am optimistic with this latest incident and recoverability of the site from what's going on with it now, but freedomperception.com has not been recoverable. If you know of a way that I could do it with the backups, I would definitely appreciate you helping to recover the product of my hard work. I'd also like to get Area dispatch.com back online. Thanks.

Support has been excellent. I had an issue with a plugin that caused things to display incorrectly. They fixed that for me and helped me identify which plugin was causing the problem.
Had issues with a plugin they helped me resolve. Technical help was excellent.

Bait and switch. Dishonest and will trick you into a plan and then start hitting you up for charges. Even provided them with screen shots of their website showing what services were in my plan at the time of purchase and they still demanded addl fees for everything.
I don't understand it, Bluehost and Hostgator are owned by the same company, but one has been top notch, honest and helpful. And the other dishonest, misleading, and unhelpful.

I tried hostgator because it was the same owner as Bluehost and Bluehost seemed to be getting too expensive. Now I know why. I signed up for unlimited websites business plan a year ago and paid 3 years in advanced for that. Now you say I only get 3 websites when I signed up and paid in advance for unlimited websites. What business can get away with cheating and stealing from a customer and not even care. You are a totally unethical company whose words means nothing. I will not recommend you to anyone by the way you cheated me and did not even care about it.

The billing thing really hurts my head and i have a lot of anxiety because im poor and irresponsibly stretch my dollars and there's all these dropdown boxes and i really wish it was more streamlined because im having to click down all these accounts to figure out which one will pay the name that's due and if i am missing something i apologize but i am struggling. I had hostgator for a few years, but just recently the support has been not good. I believe since you guys offer new services developing websites you do not provide support for self host clients like myself. One of the reason why I had you as hosting company was for the great customer service and support with issues on the actual website contents. Now I need to pay extra for web developing and hosting services without support, which in essence there are faster hosting companies who offer better deals with the limited support you guys offer now. It is a big disappointment, I know you guys have to make money but for people like me who was using your service for self develop websites now i have to look for other options.

Even though I log in when I order new domains it has put them each under different account names. Ugg! Why why why don't you consolidate them under one? I have so many I can't keep track of each different payment method, and billing address. I've been trying to get rid of incorrect billing addresses for 5 years. Ugg

Customer support is what sets HostGator apart. You can compare prices and technical specifications and find a great many web hosting companies that would appear to offer very similar services. I have never found a hosting company that offers 24/7 customer support with the level of expertise and dedication provided by the folks at HostGator. I can trust that if there is any problem with the websites I host for clients that I will be able to get it solved quickly with the help of HostGator technical support.

My sites were suspended for a few days because of delayed payment. Now my sites won't load (or take forever to load) and all of my WordPress sites were wiped out (due to a faulty plugin?). Your offered WordPress recovery tools are useless. My WP sites were killed for "electioon year" security reasons? Prove otherwise... We read the news concerning censorship and it is very disturbing to know that...

Host Gator is failing to resolve our issue. We have contacted them three times now and they are not following up and don't seem to really be able to fix the problem. The problem is that we are unable to access our website and email from our place of business (IP address). This is unacceptable. We are considering transferring to Go Daddy or someone else because we are just unable to do anything with the services and no body is fixing it.

After a mistake in transferring my account from baby server to pro server, it has taken me several phone call and plenty of frustration to get no where. I purchased two baby servers to accommodate the domains I wish to keep and I still can't get them moved. All the good reviews I gave for phone support ultimately were wrong. Nothing came of the calls. I'm still in limbo.
