My website designer recommended Hostgator years ago. The pricing is great, always around to help should I need it.

Great to have a chat support big help for not proficient english clients. Please take a look on your platform to the Live Chat I think that was broken I been connecting multiple times to seek some help but the chat were not updating sometimes until client us to disconnect the chat and start another one. Please get that fix for your valuable clients

I chose hostgator because of excellent review on other sites. However, since I have tried to operate within the system I has been unable to import my blog (which was only 7 posts long). In addition attempting to upload images results in a failure to upload every time. If this is how you treat new customers I can't imagine how you treat long time customers that have been locked in for years.

Easy to set up my custom site. Email works flawlessly. CPanel works with everything I tried. Keeping domain name with another registrar, yet there were no problems using the HostGator nameservers to direct traffic to the site's new home.

My server and wordpress has been very glitchy with the new updates that have been happening. Also at the start of the year my data got deleted due to me being locked out of my account and it was never resolved.
I went from having about 5 sites to now only being allowed 1 domain name. Pretty much overnight. That doesnt seem fair to me.

There was a glitch in my website where I kept getting error messages, and then all my blog content was lost. One phone call and they were able to run some diagnostics, fix the glitch and recover my content. Very pleased.
My problems were fixed quickly and seamlessly with one phone call. Very happy.

I chose HostGator a long time ago. I've had issues every time HostGator changes to a new setup. My baby plan is now showing as expired because it's showing up under the wrong domain name, an expired domain name. Other domains aren't renewing. The bank card has expired, so I have to reset every domain. After doing so for a few, I'll then get an error message and have to come back at a later time and set it for another few. Ugh. There should be a way to change the billing information for all domains at once.

We finally geared up to make the change and your team brought over the entire site completely intact. Now that we're with you our site is faster and we have a sense that our needs will be met quickly and professionally.
We needed help moving our site from our old hosting service to yours. The transfer was done quickly and completely.
We compared a lot of services and HostGator was one that was recommended and economical.
The package we chose fit the service that we required and was affordable.

I choose HostGator because the plans pricing was quite competitive back then, but now the pricing are more expensive, and I have a recurrent issues with the billing that Hostgtor team didn't solve yet on my account. Hostgator Agents cannot found a solution of my getting double billing by the new updated system.

The new site is ridiculously difficult to navigate. How to pay the bill sends me on a wild goose chase. Before there was pay bill...why can't it just be a pay bill button? Please make the site easier.

Ripping off existing customers at renewal. Despite me de activating auto renewal in my account Hostgator re activated it twice against my will. I noticed it in time. Hostgator cannot be trusted. I have moved my domain to another provider

When you purchase software, you are buying it with the hope that it fits your needs. There is always concern in the back of your mind that it might not work. What makes this concern mitigable is if there is someone who can walk you through any challenges or concerns you may have. That was the case with my purchase. If it was not for the splendid, awesome, great, amazing, great (didn't I say that already!) customer service, I would be writing a different review. The individual who assisted me embodied patience, empathy, and virtually held my hand as we made adjustments to my website. My site is activated and running well with no problems. I would recommend HostGator! In fact, I am using it for another website project I am involved in!

High rating - I would have preferred Yahoo small business web hosting because it was extremely user friendly and many templates made it easy for inexperienced people to create a website in no time. I feel like I'm wasting so much time trying to figure out to create a simple website here and I still haven't figured it out. I may have to hire someone to do it for me.

When I switched over to HostGator they did not convert my existing website to HostGator. After several attempts and 2 addtional months of paying the other service just to allow HostGator more time to complete the move, it still never got done. All that information was lost.

I keep having issues with opening my email. I will log in and the server will not take me to my inbox. This issue happens across both accounts that I manage. At the same time, the inbox will not sync on my phone so I miss important time sensitive emails.

I wanted the primary domain moved as I don't have it any more and was told it can't be done. I think I'll let this year run and leave which is a shame as I've been the HG for years.

Very complicated new customer portal. I complained 10s of times that i cannot recognize which of mine account is going to expire coz i dont see my primary domain inside customer portal. It is uselss to submit complaints or feedbacks and its also useless to take surveys and opinions from HG as no one address the issues.

Support team do not follow through on requests. They don't read the case notes to understand the background and follow the script of apologizing but not actually moving the case forward. I've had to make contact 20+ times and requests are not processed. Frustrating experience. A case owner should be assigned and they should follow up with the customer until the case is complete.

I've asked several times what i have been charged for and nobody responds. I had an autopay charge of $250. I believe i'm paying for a service that you no longer provide me. I just want to clear it up and cancel this autopay so it doesn't happen again, but nobody responds to my question.

Why can I not exit the message us conversation and easily? I see Start New - hell no. It is covering the info I need now. I see no X, I see no video on how to exit. I love Host Gator because whenever I had a question, I was always able to get a live agent. Instead of having their customers go through the time-consuming, frustrating, none-humaned; FAQ (process of elimination) questionnaire.for their customer service option. At one point, no matter what time of the day I called, someone always answered. But, now-a-days their hours are more limited. Yet, I still love them because, whenever I am able to catch them (because I work so late). Whoever answers, they are always patient, helpful, and attentive to all my concerns. And for these reasons, I just love HOST GATOR.
