I haven't had any problems with hostgator yet, well yes I have had some minor ones, but as I said, they were minor and I easily solved them by myself or with the help of the customer support.
The reason why I can't give them 5 stars, is because Hostgator hosting plans are very expensive, I got a good deal for 2 years, but I don't know If after the 2 years I'll still be using their hosting

Support sucks! I have asked for help for the last 47 hours and have received NONE! I give up and after being with Hostgator since 2006, I have quit Hostgator and went to the GreenGeeks webhosting serivce.

I literally entirely dislike interface changes that you have made recently. And at the same time you put the prices up... If this was some kind of improvement, you failed it.

I have not had a single problem with Hostgator so far, which is a big compliment considering that I always had problems with other companies before moving to Hostgator. One thing I can complain about is the bandwidth, I get limited bandwidth from Hostgator whereas prior to moving to Hostgator; my hosting company gave me unlimited bandwidth.
Was very satisfied, they were able to resolve my problems then and there.
It was cheap, the WHMCS sealed it for me. Most reseller hosting packages don't come with WHMCS.
I chose the reseller hosting plan because I wanted to open a reseller hosting business.

You guys had a problem with the cpanel and I wasn't able to log on which made my site vulnarble to being hacked. No email to let me know and when I contacted support they acted like they didn't know either. This is not the first problem I've had with support. Now Chat is another problem they don't even help on the weekend.

I have been with the hosing package so long the server can't up date the PHP & now it changed that my websites & subdomians can not update & now they say I am using to much space with the new package that they cant switch servers until I delete most of my sites - This is after wasting weeks with customer service wasting my time. Think I am going to start switching all of my hosting packages to another hosting company

That I joined HG was ranked as the # 1 hosting service. As the year have went by and somethings have changed I still rank this service as my #1 hosting so that means I'm not going anywhere.

Word press nonfunctional. You said it was having problems, and you'd notify me in my Dashboard, but I can't tell if the problem is fixed, since there's no indication of a problem or a fixed issue. I keep clicking and it keeps telling me it's a "failure". I managed to get onto webpress, and was using it once, using a non-dashboard method. But I ran into a problem and the thing crashed or something. I doubt I was in the right place anyway, because it was trying to use a different Password. I wasn't sure to keep what they gave me or use the one HG gave me. Anyway, so far it's been totally unusable.
