I have been a customer since 2015. Customer service is non-existent. CSRs can't be bothered to answer or help you with simple questions. Open tickets have never been resolved.

The new navigation format is not very intuitive and I have trouble locating several services that I typically go to. For example, a direct link to the cpanel would be helpful.

Put the 1 time paypal payment button back STOP demanding linked card and system trying to re-bill auto! Some want to re-load paypal and make manual payment like before!

Less expensive and use for a client. Previous long term hosting quadrupled my rates after more than 20 years even though I wasn't hosting a site. Just using email and pointers

I am unhappy with new format. No way to easily see billing history, future billing. AND, I paid $143 for hosting last year and now you want a 42% increase to $203. Are you serious?

Transfer from HostPapa to HostGator has been terrible. Have been asking for it for two months. After sitting on help for an hour or more each call, they say they are waiting on a transfer fee -- THAT WAS INCLUDED IN MY PACKAGE. Each time, they confirm that it was included and then nothing happens. Now I've been waiting for three days while the transferred domain name "Propagates" through the system. I'm thinking it won't and I'll have to spend a few more hours on the phone or chat.

Love the fast assistance and ease of use. I have never had any problems with hostgator. It's been easy to coordinate with anyone I need to give access to my DNS records.

The original setup took way to long. I had to contact support at least 3 times before getting the issue resolved. Then it took longer that usual for my domain to propagate.
Not as good as it used to be.
I've used Hostgator for years. Only recently, the quality of support has declined.

Quick, easy to get started, and excellent price. I am not tech savvy and process was fairly simple.
I was following a YouTube video on how to create a blog and you were suggested. I've used blue host in past but they rope you in on super low price and then jack it up.until you can't afford it

That is what one see when they attempt to go to my website. Initially it was Asian characters that would show up, indicating that it had malware on it, then nothing. Now this. It is has been down for 2 months! Despite virtually daily calls into tech support. It went down August 30; I made over 60 calls, given much assurance that this would be taken care of, even "escalated"... nothing. It went up ONE DAY, October 26, and then down again October 27, not even 24 hours. No explanation. Promises that it has been escalated. You cannot get past the 1st tier of support, no supervisors, no one that knows what they are doing. Conflicting information from reps. Some saying I have SiteLock others saying |I have never had SiteLock, and others saying there is noting in the notes, although I have made over 60 calls. Some were only a minute because their site was down. Others over an hour on hold. Who has time for this? But it is my storefront. They are always courteous. But NO action. IT IS MY STOREFRONT. I have no idea how much money that I have lost because people cannot find me, how much damage it has done to my reputation, they can't find me. At times it says it is not secure, at times it is a completely blank page, and at time you get the message above. What am I to do?
Tip for consumers:
My previous reseller took care of my website for 22 years. They never went down, they never were infected. He died this spring.I have been with HostGator less than 7 months with 4 website. My personal business one was down for 2 weeks in June, with malware on it, It has been down since August 30, over 2 months, with it up on October 26 and then down again on October 27 until now, and still down. It is a nightmare. Is this the company that you want to have control of your website?

I thought they were good but they charge you for hosting then you realise you then to need to pay lots of essentials after like SSL, etc. it's not a complete package.

I like hostgator, just frustrated with the login method because it makes it tricky for my computer to auto add the password for some reason, it's able to do the email, but when it goes to another page for the password, my computer (Mac OS Ventura 13) doesn't auto add password, which is annoying. Also, since the update on this site, I'm not sure how to change the DNS settings to point my domain name to my host, I liked how easy it was to change the DNS before the update, please make that part more user friendly

Remove the 2FA supplier whoever they are, their service unreliable, one time sent me the same code 5 times on the same day and your system rejected all of them. The rest is fine, adequate.
